Best Thai food in South Bay bar none. Better than the famous PA Ort in Hollywood. Thumbs up

Food was clean and tasted good except the ‘chicken larb’. I enjoyed the ‘crab fried rice’. The price was fair and ambiance simple with kind service.

Great Thai place in Torrance and they even deliver within a few miles of the restaurant. Staff is very nice and friendly and they have great vegetarian options. Probably the best Thai place in Torrance.

I’ve been here about three times now and have had a chance to try a good amount of their dishes. Honestly, there aren’t that many really good thai places in the south bay and this place has kind of become a place we go to on occasion. I just came back from Thailand so I can say that some of the food here is pretty good in comparison. It’s no where near in quality or authenticity with some of the Thai Town spots but not bad for Torrance. We’ve tried the crispy pork, som tum, pad thai, bbq chicken, beef salad, and probably some others that I forgot by now. I wouldn’t say any of the dishes are super memorable, but they are tasty at a decent price. They are FAR from bad. I would say they are consistently slightly above average and that isn’t a knock. It’s just«good» and we keep coming back from time to time. I would give it a shot, it’s always pretty busy and the service is good as well!

I loved this place but mmmmm, my latest experience was whatever. Don’t get brown rice, it’s not fresh. The service wasn’t that great, which doesnt make the experience enjoyable.

Probably our favorite new Thai spot. Food was all around good. Beware though, when the little chili pepper is there signifying a spicy dish, it really means it! We had eggrolls, Pad kee mao, and green curry with pork. Pad kee mao w/chicken had great flavor, lots o spice and fresh veggies. Green curry w/pork also had a nice portion size and some great rich flavor. Our only criticism of it was that it was a bit heavy, a little too much oil in the sauce. Otherwise, top notch. Service was quick and efficient. We’ll be back soon.

I loved royal thai, this is supposed their renovated new restaurant with a new name. I tried the yellow curry thinking i would get what I was accustomed to at royal. It was really thick syrupy and sweet, I didn’t like it.

Placed a order on eat24 and got it confirmed by them. Then the restaurant says there driver leaves at 3pm but they close at 330 makes no sense. Especially since it’s not stated at eat24. Not happy. Then the employee asks me to cancel the order that it’s easier on her because they would have to call them to cancel.

Came to Ubon Thai Kitchen for dinner on a Wednesday. It is a nice little thai restaurant in a plaza. The interior is small, and maybe holds about 20 – 25 people. But it is cozy inside and not very loud at all, so you’re able to hear your conversations. Elected to order the Yellow Curry and Pad See Ewe. They were both delicious with lots of flavor! Overall: Nice little Thai restaurant with good food!

So my husband and I have tried Thai places all around Torrance and parts of PV but have decided Ubon Thai is the best place to get our Thai food fix! Their chicken/beef pad Thai and chicken/beef pad see ew dishes are really good. Sometimes the beef can be a little try but on the good days, it’s perfect! I once tried the chicken curry and found it a little too sweet for my taste. But overall, their food with the affordable pricing makes it our go-to Thai restaurant! The servers and manager are very kind and always, ALWAYS have a big smile on their face which makes our trips there to pick up food even more enjoyable. One more thing! Their Thai iced tea is awesome! Too bad they got rid of the free Thai ice tea check in deal.

Yes yes yes! So happy that they are here in Torrance. I used to go all the way to Ayara Thai in Westchester but I don’t need to anymore. Delicious food. Savory, sour, sweet… you get that with almost every dish. I recommend the duck noodle soup or the tom yum soup. Also, they deliver in Torrance! Say whaaaa

I order from this restaurant every so often for delivery when I’m at work, so do a couple of my coworkers. Thai food is always a little pricier, so expect that, but their food is good. I’ve tried a few things and have not been disappointed: Thai Curry Catfish: YUM Duck Noodle Soup: One of my all time faves at Thai places, super good, per usual Panang Curry: Can you ever really go wrong with panang curry? The correct answer is no. Pad See Ew: Recently the pork I got was really dry, but I feel that’s the case with any place. I think I got shrimp last time and it was yummy. My coworker ordered beef and that was good, too. Shrimp in a Basket: MUST. So simple, but so good. Super crispy shell, shrimp isn’t over cooked, and the sweet and sour sauce they serve with it is amazeballs! Thai Iced Tea: Can’t really go wrong there either, YUMZ! I always order online thru Unilocal with Eat24 and no problems. They have a $ 15 order minimum which isn’t hard to reach with Thai food prices(my recent order of Pad See Ew with pork, shrimp in a basket, and a large Thai iced tea came out to around $ 20ish). I also just tip online with my card bc it’s easier. They have a time tracker thing that shows how long it’s been since they received the order and usually say«45 – 60 mins», but I’ve only actually waited that long during peak lunch hours. I ordered around 11:30 yesterday and my food got here in half an hour. The people who deliver the food are always super friendly. Def recommend!

My new favorite Thai spot! The food was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The waitress was absolutely adorable and was great. The restaurant itself is little. We walked in around 8 pm on Saturday, and it looked like they just had a rush. I can imagine making reservations is a must. We lucked out. We ordered the spring rolls to start. We ate them before I could get a picture, but they were so good! I also started with the Tom Yum Soup. It was outstanding! I always get this soup at every Thai place I visit, and this one was the best yet. Then we shared the pineapple fried rice and the mixed vegetables with chicken. I requested they throw in some garlic to the mixed vegetables. It was all so delicious. Pictures below(sans the spring rolls). I will be back!

Ubon is great, if you order the right dish. Sorta my family’s spot for Thai around South Bay since it’s close to us. We really like the Kee Mao, Spicy Thai Fried Rice, Spicy Beef Salad, and the Papaya Salad. Be careful when you order because it can get really really spicy. Usually I just order it standard, but one day, decided to try one level up, and holy hell, I couldn’t even eat 5 bites of my fried rice. I was dying. Tongue and tummy hated me for awhile. Tom Yum Noodle, which I love, is overly sweet here for some reason, just like the Pad Thai. Disappointing cause I love those two dishes. The appetizers are just so-so too. Surprisingly, I’ve never tried the curry at Ubon, so that’s next! Place is sorta small and it does fill up, but we’ve never had to wait, even on weekends. Service is pretty solid. Free Thai tea if you check in! Also really like how Ubon can be ordered from Eat24. I’ve done it a few times for to-go orders. Simple and fast.

Get the Beef Noodle soup with the rice noodles, the broth is completely different and original, but I love it. I am definitely coming back here. Originally was going to try out Gyu-Kaku, but the wait was too long and I was hangry, saw this place right next to it and checked Unilocal reviews. Seem to be a fairly new business, but has four star for average, so I decided to give it a try.

I am so glad Ubon Thai is so close to home. I have ordered delivery here twice, and every time it has been a pleasure. They are really patient in answering questions and taking my order. The food arrived in a very timely manner, and not to mention how delicious it was. Everything is flavorful and addicting, really. This is my first choice for ordering thai for delivery on a lazy day :)

I work down the street, so it’s one of our go-to lunch places. They deliver so that’s obviously a plus. I love that they give you various spiciness levels. That way my non-tolerant coworkers can order a mild curry, and I can order one that is scorching hot. Everything I ordered is flavorful. So far I’ve tried the som tum(green papaya salad), tom kha kai soup, chicken satay, eggrolls, pad kee mao, pad see ew, and green curries. I also like that they have a lot of drink options– Thai tea, fresh coconut juice, various green teas, smoothies, etc. We replaced our previous delivery place with this one :)

This place used to be royal thai but now it is ubon. Located in the Torrance crossroads plaza, ubon is situated next to IHOP and a ramen place. I got the garlic pepper plate and it comes with rice and salad. It was OK. My friend ordered the wonton soup and the pad thai. The pad thai was a little dry, but the soup was really good. The taste of their food really differs from royal thai. To be honest, I liked royal thai better. But, their food is pretty decent. The chef for royal did move to Gardena bowl thai I believe. Decent thai food for decent prices.
