Excellent service from Dave D and Dave. I needed a chain repair, all fixed and on the road riding within minutes. Thanks again, will only go for repairs and bike needs here.

Dave and Dave are fair and honest. They are the only employees at the branch and are great to deal with. To the reviewer who mentioned mechanic experience,(the older Dave) has been selling and servicing bikes in Torrington Area since before I was born(30+ years) and the younger one has been there for as long as I can remember. I’ve purchased bikes here, and Dave always throws in a cage and bottle, in addition to giving discounts on accessories, helmets, and clothing. I’ve had him repair and work on all my bikes, a 26″ mountain bike, my 29er, and my high end road machine. He even will offer fit advice for free. Their inventory is small– due to the local market. If you are looking at buying a super expensive model, Dave can order it in and usually save money. Other locations have more to see and try in the high end bike categories, but I’d rather go to Dave knowing the service I get. They are straight shooters and will never steer you wrong. Depending on season and time of year, wait times vary, however usually minor things Dave fixes on the spot or same day. He usually over estimates times just to be safe. I had some less than stellar experiences in other branches, and am happy to save fuel and time going to the Torrington branch. It’s easy and convenient to get to and I don’t have to deal with traffic going to Bristol or Avon stores. No brainer if you ask me! Nothing but positives for this 10+year customer.

They did an excellent job in restoring two of our bikes. I was pleased with the quality of the work and the price. I am again a happy biker.

Needed brake levers for my road bike. Was quoted $ 50. Final bill was over $ 80. No one called. A friend just bought a brand new road bike there $ 1000+. They didn’t even offer him a water bottle, let alone a cage plus bottle. Told a tuneup would take 5 – 7 days. Cheaper and quicker at EMS or REI. REI pays for all their bike techs for training in Colorado. EMS guy travels store to store and I was told has 15 years of experience. Cant find anything about qualifications on their web site and person I saw working on bikes looks fairly young Wish Country Sports was still in business(sigh).

Extremely detail oriented shop. I have dealt with Benny on two occasions and he and his team have been very responsive, polite, and very methodical in the work they’ve done for me. I really don’t have enough good things to say about them. I’ve trusted them with some very high end bicycles and have had great experiences with them. Thank you Bikers Edge!
