A breath of fresh air on our morning trip to Torrington. Good coffee, pleasant staff and great doughnuts!

First Act Bakery is good for doughnuts and cookies only. Ordered 2 cakes over the last 8 months and both were dry and not a big hit with folks. Had to give this Owner a second chance, but she didn’t seem too concerned about her cake reputation and really caters to the walk-​ins who want a cookie or brownie.
Cakes are on the «high» end $$$ side but «low» on flavor. Disappointed because this area needs a good Cake Baker and we still don’t have one yet.
