Writing a review for this location is very hard. about two weeks ago, i came in for a friends 21st birthday. she chose this place because the surrounding bars were very busy and crowded and we wanted more of a quiet, quaint setting. upon entering it was a little different the bar itself is not very big and it is a little rundown, it is very dark inside and the dance floor is extremely small. The music that was being played was weird, it was on the bartenders i heart radio and was playing music know one really knew. i asked him if he could get music that a typical bar would play like billboards top 100 or beyonce, lady gaga, drake, normal music. he said he could change the station and he did. which we were all very happy about. So i proceeded with the night and ordered myself a long island… this was probably the worst long island i have ever had in my life. for god’s sake there are 5 liquors in a long island, this was my first drink and i could tast nooooooo alcohol all i tasted was sour mix. so against my better jiudgement i returned the drink and asked if i could have the drink remade. the bartenders response was that the lopng islands are already pre mixed, i was dumbfounded… i have never been to a bar that serves pre mixed long islands? i thought that was the stupidest thing i have ever heard. so any way i no longer wanted a long island and settled for a coronoa which was fine. during our night there it was very dead, the only people in this bar was me and my friends and a very akward hispanic man who kept brushing up against my girlfriends… which i quickly had to nip in the but… i feel mixed about the review of this place, mainly because there really wasnt anything wrong with it, it was just not what i was expecting and it just seemed off compared to the other choices you have surrounding lil dickies. I feel they need to market better and clean it up in there and myabe the reviews would get better. i personally have no desire to return, it was a very uneventful experience and left me wanting more.

I will NEVER step foot inside this bar again! They are totally RACIST against African Americans! I waited in line to go in and watched countless White people go in with one form of ID and as me and my cousin and friend approached the entrance the White security asked us for TWO forms of ID and if we didn’t we’d have to talk to the cops about going in, although we are all ages 23 and OLDER If you want to be racially profiled to go have a go there. I don’t not recommend this bar to any one, it’s sad we have to face this type of racism in 2014 in Towson, MD.

If you want a cheap drink this is your place, but you get what you pay for at this place. The bar is tiny, but there is a decent open dance floor in the back. The bathrooms are to be avoided like the plague when this place gets busy, but if you go at on off time they are usable. Food is non-existent as the space is too small for a kitchen. For some reason the microbrews and finer beers are also non-existent. Probably due to the crowd this bar is targeting — the broke college student with no taste buds left. If you want to have an awesome time I would hit up one of the bigger bars in the area, but if you want to save money and have an ok time this is the place for you.

If you’re a college kid with less than $ 20 in your pocket then this filth trap is your place. The only time I’d go here is between 7pm — 10pm when I’m flat broke. Their prices are good then and they usually don’t start blasting the ghetto thug music till 10pm. As you’d probably expect, once that music blares out the front door, the cockroaches come calling. Don’t expect food service here either. Just hit the 24⁄7 Subway next door and bring your sandwich in here.

Bottom line, the space is small, the drinks are basic(think can domesics and slushies) and there are a lot of drunk coeds(given it is a Friday or Saturday night). Not bad, if that is what you are looking for. If you love natty light, this is a good stop. I just stopped in to include it on a bar crawl because I knew I could get in, have a beer and get out with as little $$ as possible.

Lil’ Dicky’s Saloon is a crappy bar in a college town. It serves its purpose, a cheap buzz. The night my friends and I scoped this spot out, the rail drinks were $ 2, making it cheaper than its rivals up the street. The rail drinks are typical. Cheap, boozy, plastic cup, is this a bar or somebody’s house kind of place. On the weekends, like the rest of Towson’s York Rd. strip, the spot is always crowded with drunk college students. My colleagues usually end up at the Greene Turtle, but this was an interesting alternative and the drinks were a bit more wallet friendly. The bottom line is this: Do not go to this place expecting fancy drinks. It is a college kid hangout kind of bar.

This is fun. Great for college kids. I added it to my list for the Towson Bar Crawl. The back is a «dance area». There are hammered people everywhere! Guys should not be able to go up on the ledge. No one wants to see a bunch of loser dudes doing the mash potato(an old dance move) on the elevated platform. If you are one of those people who think you look cool doing it, you don’t! You just can’t go here if it is too crowded. The place is small and narrow. It would be great if they put a little beer/keg station in the back so it easier to get drinks. They also serve this beer called BEER30. I have only seen this beer here. It is by far the worst beer I have EVER tasted. Even worse than national bohemian.

I really hated this place. Given, I went on a Saturday night, I am not a Towson student, and had no desire to experience a hive of sleazey dudes. But still, not a good time. I can imagine this place might be an OK hole-in-the-wall if you went when there were not many people in attendance. On Saturday night, however, the tiny narrow space was packed wall-to-wall. Generally, everyone was completely shit-faced and grinding on each other. Again, simply not my scene. It was nearly impossible to get a drink because of the hoards of drunk, trashy girls draped all over the bar and grappling for the attention of the bartender. I went with a bunch of my guy friends and they all found drunk, trashy girls to grind with, so I would assume their review of this place would be a lot better. I guess I was blinded by the shine from all the hair gel in the room, but I didn’t see any men of interest. The space itself isn’t ideal for socializing. It’s very narrow, as I mentioned before, and goes very far back to some pool tables that are not very accessible when the place is crowded. The space isn’t great, but it’s really the crowd in attendance that garners my negative review. As we were aggressively squeezing out of the bar at the end of the night(it was literally like getting toothpaste out of a tube) some wench was standing by the door, pointing at girls she wasn’t fond of, and loudly announcing, «you’re ugly» when they walked by her. I decided this was a good enough assessment of my entire night at Lil’ Dicky’s. Won’t be going back.

Little Dicky’s is a pint sized place that you might easily miss but is worth checking out. The place consists of a long narrow bar, probably only twelve feet wide from wall to wall, but quite deep. There is a pretty good beer selection and amicable bartenders that will remember you by name if it isn’t too crowded. Since it is so small, many are unaware of its existence which makes for a smaller crowd, and besides, even if a lot of people come in, there isn’t much room. The back contains some pool tables and very modern and clean bathrooms. An authentic Towson bar.
