Good calamari, Mo’s seafood was«the spot» when it first opened, quality goes down year by year. No doubt still a decent place to eat.

Ordered take out: Rude bartender who took the order Ordered 1. famous jumbo lump crab cake sandwich — incredibly bland — even to the point where I have said to a friend that the piece of bread that came with it tasted better Seafood macaroni– I was expecting a mac and cheese, but it’s a mayo based salad with imitation crab meat. It was terrible in my opinion, too sweet and the mayo dressing was completely off putting. Fried calmari– pre packaged, frozen and fried. The calamari was leathery and tough Happy hour oysters on half shell — Zero flavor to them, all the oyster liquor was dumped out and they were still attached to the shell. $ 35+ for this, OH and they even had the nerve to put gratuity on top of it.

Holy MOooooooooly amazing! We ordered the watermelon crushes, soft shell BLT, crab dip and of course Crab cakes! Soooooo good!!! I was sooo happy with the amount of crab meat in the dip and cakes… it’s pretty pricey but worth it completely I felt like the portions were big atleast for me! The watermelon crush is to die for! After lunch we went to the bar to get more! All around great experience!

Service is excellent and food is tasty. I was kind of shocked after seeing all the negative reviews about the service. My waitress was very attentive and friendly. As a starter I ordered the crab cheese dip. It was delicious I couldn’t stop eating it. For my entrée I order the three way shrimp which included shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, and Cajun shrimp. I order a small portion and it seriously lasted me for three meals. I ordered their version of the Long Island and tasted the«Lean Back» drinks and both were very strong. The prices are very very reasonable considering it is fresh seafood and they really have large portions. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

Ate at Mo’s for the first time the other night… not too busy in side. We got seated right away. Server was attentive and bubbly. We ordered the seafood bisque which was very good. Hot rolls with butter were nice too. We ordered the garlic mussels appetizer. Omg soo good. And only $ 8 I would have paid more… delicious! Only wish I hadn’t eaten all the bread before I got the mussels so I could dip… and the server never offered or brought any more. However, my glass was always full and I was never without a drink which I believe is the sign of a good server. Lastly we ordered the 4 crab combo. The crab gratin and crab imperial were great and the snow crab legs were nice and fresh. The crab cake had good flavor but the filler(large chunks of mushy bread folded into the crab cake were in appetizing and displeasing in my mouth. When the check came I was disappointed… they had upped the price on the 4 crab combo without changing it on the menu or without having instructed servers to make sure customers were aware. What was even more offensive was that we were charged gratuity and were only a party of 2! When I inquired I was informed that the gratuity was mandatory on ALL checks no matter the party size and that it was in small print on the front of the menus. I have been in the restaurant industry since the age of 15 and charging gratuity on parties smaller then 6 i unheard of. Not sure that customer service is their #1 priority

Perhaps, I was lucky. Or maybe these guys are better than the reviews. OR, the carry out crew(in the back of the restaurant) far exceed the main servers. I came in for a $ 2 per crab special and he packaged my crabs well enough for me to take back on my flight to CA. Carry on style! I’ll be back because I sampled the crabs and they were yummy!

I went out for some lite fare with a friend of mind. We’ve both worked in the food service and retail industry and know how to treat waiters /waitresses. We ordered a couple drinks and appetizers. It was a nice evening and we just wanted to sit on the patio and enjoy each conversation. In the beginning our waitress was very attentive took our order. Our food came out the shrimp was wonderful. The crab dip was more like a platter of jumbo lump that a slice of cheese had been laid upon it and then broiled to a thin unrecognizable scabby layer. After the food was dropped off the waitress checked once to see if we were ordering entrees we were not. She never came back not even to refill our beverages. After about an hour she returned. We asked for the check only to discover she had auto gratted the check as though she assumed we would not tip. Because of this we tipped her exactly what she auto gratted and not a penny more. I will not be returning to this place. Bad service. And discrimination. Had the service been better and the waitress not made such a sad assumption about myself and my friend she could have gotten a better tip.

The service was great! The bathrooms were clean! I would recommend some music for the outdoor seating. The oysters were not as delicious as I would have liked for them to be but the drinks were strong and the rest of the food was great! I had the burger with crab dip on top! The fries were great and the burger was wonderful. My friend had the shrimp po boy. Also delicious and the shrimp was not over cooked. Overall a nice experience. Oh and the drinks were strong

I am a Baltimore native and this is my favorite seafood restaurant hands down. Customer Service is excellent. I arrived with my party of 8 after my nieces graduation and we were seated immediately. MO ’ s has aways had the best crab cakes in MD and I still think they do, seasoned perfectly, very little filler and nothing but goodness when you eat them. The Maryland crab soup is ok, and the cream of Crab soup was yummy but unhealthy. If you get anything at MO ’ s that contains crabmeat you won’t be disappointed. The salads are huge and fresh. Lobster, crab legs are also delicious at this spot. If you want to experience some of Baltimore ’ s best seafood come here.

Tonight was my last night in Baltimore, so crab cakes were a necessity! First impressions are lasting impressions. There was no one assigned as the designated hostess. During my continued wait, a party of 6 and 4 arrived. The manager who was sitting a few feet from the hostess station the whole time finally came over after a server alerted hi to the situation. Once all parties were seated, we ordered calamari, Old Bay wings, crab cakes, catfish, as well as, shrimp & chicken pasta, Izzy was our server. She was GREAT! The food was tasty and the portions were large. The wings were a little salty. I recommend the restaurant season the wings with Old Bay before cooking them, as opposed to after. The chicken in the pasta dish was too chunky and the shrimp still had their shells. Who wants to shell shrimp covered in Alfredo sauce? Not me! Overall, the food was tasty and the initial(lack) of good customer service requires IMPROVEMENT! Therefore, i can only give two stars.

I’ve been patronizing Mo’s for years at other locations. However, this was my first time at the Towson location. The jumbo crab cakes seemed to be significantly smaller and overwhelmed with the taste of mustard. Maybe it was an off day and I’ll give it another try one day.

I like this place for Happy hour Bc The bartenders never disappoint. The pour is exceptional and The service is oustanding. The food is good here too. I often do take out for the entrées. The Salmon Imperial is Amazing. Good Quality Salmon with large Shrimp and Jumbo Lump Crab Meat Smothered in Imperial Sauce. Yummy Goodness!!! Have them put cajun seasoning on it It Takes it to Another Level of Goodness.

Huge portions. Don’t experiment with the dishes as I did. Get any of the delicious fried, grilled, or broiled seafood and partake in the generous and well-made grown up drinks. I should’ve known better, but I got the shrimp scampi instead of my usual wings, crab cake, and basic shrimp dish. Though the menu teases your taste buds with words of garlic, butter, and olive oil over linguini, the reality of the dish was Country Crock slathered over spaghetti and a generous portion of fresh, sizeable shrimp.(The shrimp were really good.) I ordered a side of the veggies of the day to feel better about my poor eating habits, and was equally disappointed. The huge broccoli«trees» and carrots were coated with a buttery garlic sauce that looked like oily cottage cheese. The veggies were good, but if you actually consume it, you can’t forget any of the referring qualities of eating something non-fried. Bottom line: Good food, great drinks, huge portions, but overkill on the grease/oil for no apparent reason, other than making cardiac doctors richer.

A foodie friend of mine RAVED about how amazing the food was after coming here with his family one weekend. Now I love me some seafood, so I got together with one of my chicas and we trekked all the way up 95, in a torrential downpour, to check this place out. Long story short, I wanted to slap said friend by the time this meal was over(and it could not be over fast enough). The shrimp appetizer contained some of the skinniest, saddest looking shrimp I have ever seen. The crabcakes were all backfin and chock full of shell bits. The shrimp fetuccine had a watery sauce and a paltry amount of shrimp. I GOTMYHAIRWETFORTHIS!!! I can’t even fathom how or why this place is still open. I don’t even think a Gordon Ramsey-style intervention could save it.

I wanted so to love this place. For months I’ve been drooling over the breathtaking entrée shots they post daily to their FaceBook wall. It appeared to be a seafood lover’s paradise… but, no. We were surprised to find the place almost empty even on a Tuesday evening. The atmosphere was rather cold– both in temperature and the stark surroundings of the dimly-lit main dining room. It occurred to me– now I know why they focus in so tightly on those amazing food shots. I had inferred from them the rest of the place would be as inviting as the food. It was immediately apparent our server could barely speak English. It was uncomfortably poor– as in continually having to ask him to repeat things. But this wasn’t bad enough. *He* corrected *my* pronunciation — twice. I was informed it’s not«Guinness Stout” — it’s «Jinness Stout» and it’s not«Yuengling» it’s «Gingling». I could look past this, but it was the tip of the iceberg. He was very slow, failed to volunteer any information including the specials, never returned to ask if we wanted more drinks, and was most unaccommodating with special requests. Returning to the food– this did live up to expectation. It looked very much like the photos I had been seeing. The calamari appetizer alone was enough for four people and one of the best I’ve had. The oyster trio was very good *however*, apparently, I was supposed to specify the type of oysters I wanted. They were not very salty so probably not the great Chesapeake Bay oysters you would expect from a local restaurant here. It would have been nice of the waiter to ask. Well, finally, the coup de grâce. They charge an automatic 17% gratuity. Even after *good* service, I would be perturbed by an automatic tip. But after shelling out a fairly stiff price for the meal, a mandatory 17% for subpar service left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I need not return.

Zero stars. Will NOTEVER return. Crab cake tasted like Gouldens mustard rather than crabmeat. Drinks delivered(3x in row, different glasses) w/dried food crusted inside the glass; Rather then pouring a fresh glass of wine, the waitress continued to pour the contents from dirty glass into the second and third glasses. Health dept intervention required

This is a bar and seafood restaurant. I often eat here on weekend afternoons in the dinning room. Been eating at this Mo’s for many years and we like this new location. Always high quality seafood and steaks. The chicken Chesapeake and the filet Christopher are great. This is not a «high end» restaurant, it is a very good casual place with good service. I do recommend trying this place!

We use to come to their older location quite frequently and had some issues with the wait staff… So we stopped coming for a while. Last year we went with my cousin who was in from out of town and I raved about their delicious crab cakes and other seafood, out entire dinner party was impressed. Just last week my husband and I got their 2 dollar carry out crabs and omg they were fantastic! Good heavy medium males and spiced just right!
