Steven J Rottman, MD – Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

Exactly one year ago, I had a mini tummy tuck performed by Dr. Rottman. The surgery went perfectly and I am beyond thrilled with my results. Dr. Rottman and his staff are professional and friendly and always available to answer questions. Dr. Rottman checked in with me frequently to make sure I was healing well, which is not commonplace with most surgeons. He is a *meticulous* surgeon with an excellent bedside manner and I would recommend him to anyone.

I went back to Dr. Rottman because my results were so amazing after my first visit with him. Once again, I love my results and highly recommend this skilled doctor to anyone looking to improve how the look and feel! Another fantastic experience. Thank you!

I went to Dr. Rottman for a reconstruction of my previous double mastectomy reconstruction. The office staff was so warm, friendly and helpful. Dr. Rottman spent so much time with me going over all of my options and I never once felt rushed. My surgery was almost 2 weeks ago and I am thrilled with my results! Dr. Rottman called me the night of the surgery as well as the day after to make sure I was ok. Best plastic surgeon ever!

I saw Dr Rottman one year ago for a revision to a breast reconstruction surgery I had in 2011 that followed a double mastectomy. I was displeased with my first surgery, but once you have been touched by a plastic surgeon, it is hard to find another willing to take you as a patient. I was referred to Dr. Rottman by another of my surgeons and I could not be happier. The staff, along with Dr Rottman, is amazing — prompt, compassionate and very patient, thoroughly answering any question, no matter how trivial. I achieved excellent results and feel so confident with his abilities that I am trusting him to do a surgery on my 10-​year old daughter’s foot to remove some congenital scar tissue. My daughter was terrified at the prospect of surgery, but after a consultation in which she was treated with the ultimate professionalism and compassion, she is excited about having her issue resolved. Dr Rottman wasn’t solely concerned about her surgical issue, but also guided her into considering quality of life issues and helped her choose a surgery time to minimize the sporting activities she would have to miss during her recuperation. He even shared his personal cell number with her and invited her to text him with any questions she thought of after our visit. I am hoping to be able to come back and update my review once I know for sure that my daughter’s results are as good as the ones I had myself. I feel very comfortable recommending Dr Rottman.

Awesome staff and service. Dr. Rottman is a true professional. I’m surprised to see anything less than stellar reviews on here. He answered all my questions for my wife and I. We felt very comfortable. I also referred my mother and a few other close family friends to him. Very good. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Dr Rottman and his wonderful staff for a year, the first time I walked in I felt like I was among friends. I was starting to feel my age so I found a groupon for botox, I called and made an appointment and when I left the office I had botox and fillers which immediately made me feel better and having people tell me I look refreshed was amazing. I would and have recommended The Good Dr to friends of mine on several ocassions and they were happy with their visits. I think it is important to understand if you buy a groupon for an initial visit, you can not expect major results from a one time thing, from my experience it does take several visits to figure out which products give you the results you want and realize its a commitment. Looking forward to my next visit and seeing the Staff.

Dr. Rottman is great! I have been coming to him for the past few years for Botox and fillers and have been thrilled with the the results. He knows how to do just the right amount so that you don’t look over done, just young and well rested. He really takes his time and gives his honest opinion about what should or shouldn’t be done. He is extremely considerate and goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your results. I highly recommend him!

I have been to Dr. Rottman on a few occasions and at an event and I’ve been so happy every time! The staff, Beth and Kelly, really listen to my thoughts and concerns and make sure the doctor is well aware. Dr. Rottman’s bedside manner is caring and professional. The entire staff give me personal treatment and I always have an excellent result. They always numb my face beforehand and help thru the procedure. I’ve gotten Dysport, Restylane, Juvaderm, and Botox, as well as Latisse and Obaji products including retin-​A cream. They take Care Credit as well so I can always get what I want!!! I only use Dr. Rottman now.

Loved the location and felt at ease. However, I was using a Groupon coupon for Dysport and on reflection I think overall the service is probably not as good as if I was as a ‘full fare paying patient’.
Initially, I thought my introduction was friendly, helpful and kind but actually thinking about it, it was a clever ploy to encourage me to buy another area at a ‘special rate’ (which incidentally I did). There is no real consultation with Dr Rottman which if you were paying the full price, you’d probably get. He didn’t really look or ask me what I was trying to achieve (maybe it was obvious?)
There has been no follow up calls to make sure I am ok or if I am happy with the results. Which, if you want me as a future customer, you should be doing!!!
The results were ‘ok’ not great, I was left with creases right at the top of my forehead which did not look great and even worse my left eye was really droopy which meant I had to keep lifting my eyelid up to apply makeup and mascara. I had to see a doctor at Johns Hopkins about a different matter and they noticed my eyelid, they could see what had happened and thought that it had not been injected with enough care.
I’m fairly sure that because I used a Groupon initially I have been treated like a second class client, especially when I paid their ‘special deal’ the following week.
One thing a good business should always do is look after every customer, regardless of how much money they spend! Because you never know how much they may spend in the future!

I went to Dr. Rottman because of his outstanding Unilocal reviews but I wouldn’t rate him as high; so I figured I should come on and leave a review…
I’m sure he’s a great plastic surgeon but a few things about my visit would not allow me to recommend him in good conscience… First, I must mention the positive, the facility seemed to be very clean and sterile and the staff and doctor were polite enough.
However, I thought it was very weird that you couldn’t see the consent forms you were signing… They offered to print them out for you to read but still when you signed them you could not physically see what you were signing as they had you sign an electronic pad with the computer screen turned away from the patient. Being in intelligence this goes against every thing I’ve ever been trained on or taught. Also when I went in to the treatment room for the Botox the syringes were already filled. I was told by previous plastic surgeons that you should watch the Doctor fill the syringe ensuring that the bottle has not been tampered with and is in fact what you want injected into you. Other doctors have said that some shady doctors will fill the syringe with the cheaper product to save money. While at my visit I kept getting hassled to change to Dysport (cheaper product) saying it was so much better. I’ve done my research and know that Dysport is cheaper and that it works faster, however from personal experience it does not last as long despite product reviews… I thought this combined with the paperwork signing and the syringes being pre-​filled was very unprofessional and would not go back to this office or recommend them.

After realizing that most pediatricians no longer pierce baby ears and being totally turned off by the «mall piercing pagodas» I was happy to be referred to Dr. Rottman. Some may say it’s overdoing it to take your daughter to a plastic surgeon to have her ears pierced but it was such a great experience. Obviously, this is not a staple in his practice and surely not something he’s going to retire early from doing ($ 100) but nonetheless he handled it with patience, care and was very generous with his time to ensure my daughter wasn’t scared. He numbed the area a bit and took care to precisely mark symmetrical spots. My daughter barely felt it. The staff was patient and kind and the office clean and tidy. I’ve referred a few friends for breast/​tummy tuck consults and all have had rave reviews. I’m excited to also check out their skin care options. Stellar practice!
