History

Established in 1995.

The Nanny Network was founded in 1995 by Paula Henry and later purchased by Dulany Dent in 2006. Dulany and her husband used the service to hire a full-​time nanny when their first child was born and she was returning to work in the investment industry. Since then, the agency has enjoyed significant growth in every division of the company, in particular the temporary/​emergency back-​up child care division. The company has also expanded geographically to include areas outside of Baltimore, including Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Richmond, Virginia.

Dulany D.

Business Owner

Dulany Dent is the President of The Nanny Network and has owned the company since 2006. Previously, Dulany worked in the investment management and recruiting industries while always supporting women in business. As the owner/​operator of The Nanny Network, Dulany has been able to draw on her previous work and parenting experience while helping women and parents alike find quality child care. Dulany holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
