I’ll admit, I didn’t think I could really like a hotel restaurant especially as a local. It’s a great little find for pizza, bar food and a huge selection of craft brews. It was really tasty and now it is CLOSED. It was such a great place to play trivia, too. The staff was really friendly! We’ll miss Joe!

THIS is why I love Unilocal. If I was driving around looking for a place to eat would I ever in ten billion years think, «Hey, I wonder what kind of food they have at the Day’s Inn?» Heck no! But Unilocal is what led me here. Do not let the fact that you have to enter this place via a Day’s Inn lobby discourage you from coming here. This is fun, modern-looking restaurant. Sports fans should love this place because there are televisions everywhere in the bar area. Our first trip we raved about the caprese salad and margherita pizza(described as house made fresh mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, olive oil drizzle). I said it was one of the best margherita pizzas I’ve ever had! The second trip we ordered two pizzas to go and we had a different experience. I was somewhat shocked to realize that the sauce on the pizzas was spicy. I don’t eat spicy food at all normally. It wasn’t unbearable, but my lips and mouth were tingling and it’s definitely not something I would choose to order. Even worse was the fact that some of the people I ordered the food for don’t like spicy food at all. I felt horrible that they only ate a little because of that. I wasn’t imagining the difference because ironically the people that don’t like spicy food were the ones that accompanied me on my first visit. I still think this a great place and I definitely will come back the next time I’m in Towson. I’m just not sure what happened with that sauce though.

Bad location, cool place. Food is really good. Unique drink options. Would give 4 – 5 stars but on many occasions I have found the bar staff to be inattentive and not have a good attitude.

Went with friends and their kid and had a great experience. Food and service was great. Its located in the Days Inn Hotel, just in case your looking for a stand alone brick and mortar place. Its a medium sized sports – pub bar with dark toned wood with some modern twists and lots of tvs! Food was really good. I would say its your standard bar food menu but with a gourmet touch with fresh ingredients and someone in the kitchen knows what their doing. We ordered pizza, wings and sandwiches. The Margarita pizza was great. Its a thin crust pizza and the sauce was well flavored. The buffalo wings were crisp and good sized and yummy. The meatball sub was made of with mixed beef and pork and the bread wasn’t your standard boring roll but from a bakery. The cool thing was the shoe string french fries. It has a good selection of craft beers and cocktails. A nice touch was when the bartender came over and gave us some samples and provided commentary on the brews. Stop by and try this place out. This area needs a good sports bar with great food. We were there on a Sat nite and there was plenty of seating. Placed emptied out around 9/9:30. I hope this place stays around.

Came here tonight for the first time to try the pizza, and I was a little disappointed bc I love pizza. But, let me tell you about the place before we get to the food. Location– Not the best location, it’s inside the days inn hotel, but when you get inside, the atmosphere is surprisingly nice. A little divey feel just bc of the location, but a nice quirky feel, a little like the Hampden hipster area. A lot of tvs for the sports fanatics too. Great beer selection(craft beers) and bar as well. Service– Nice and friendly. Food– We ordered the wings which were good. We also ordered the twisted pizza. The pizza was just okay for myself bc I think the sauce makes a pizza. The toppings were amazing and I loved how fresh and tasty they were, but then the sauce was lacking flavor to me. I wish the sauce had more flavor, it was bland in my opinion and some people may not even notice bc the toppings packed a lot of flavor itself. I think if they get that sauce down and on point, the pizza will be amazing! But right now, it’s just not doing it for me. The staff was super nice and friendly though. I think it’s a nice spot for the area. The pizza sauce just needs more. That’s just me though.

Awesome to have a chill place to go around here. Craft beers, gourmet pizza that isn’t snobby, down to earth décor, hip vibe with many tv’s for sporting events, attentive service and reasonably priced for the experience. Once inside you completely forget that you are in a Days Inn Motel. Definite welcome addition to the neighborhood!

I was surprised to see an artisanal pizza and craft beer place move into this neck o’ the woods, so my gal and I checked Twisted Pizza out for a Friday lunch. We arrived just after the opened, and by the time we left there was all of one other table with patrons. Like others have mentioned, the space felt a bit weird, being inside a budget hotel. But it looks like a nice, big place for something like a work happy hour. We had a pizza, which I thought was a little above average. My gal and I had a rather heated debate over whether some ingredients were fresh or packaged. I was pleased that they use clumps of mozzarella, a la some of the better known New York pizza joints. The beer selection featured a good number of craft brews, but predominantly the more widely found offerings and nothing that made me think«wow, I can’t believe I found that here!» Service was fine, and the pricing was okay. Hope the business is much stronger on evenings and weekends, so that I can suggest the place as a viable happy hour setting.

Alright, here’s the deal. This review is going to be a little harsh, but only because I think this place has huge potential, and I want them to work out a few of the kinks. I will definitely be back in the future, hopefully the owner reads this. This place has the potential to be something awesome. The décor is really nice despite the restaurant being located inside a seedy hotel. It really feels like you are in a nice bar downtown. It’s also a pretty big place. We came on a weeknight, and it was mostly empty. I really hope they hire a marketing person to get the word out so that this place can grow. We sat down in the bar area, which is really nice. Modern furniture and TVs everywhere(unfortunately half of the TVs were off for some reason). Overall ambiance was welcoming. Our server was also one of the two bartenders. She was nice, but all over the place. She forgot to bring us water a few times, and we were asked multiple times what drinks we ordered(after we had already received them) so that she could enter them into their POS system. They really need to get some servers, as the cooking staff was running food to tables, and there’s no way this setup is going to be sustainable. The drinks we had were great. I loved the Smokey and Bandit, the house specialty, which had a really nice smoky flavor. They use a blowtorch to light some wood on fire and then cover the drink to capture the smoke. To my amazement, the blowtorch was just left on top of the bar, where a friendly-yet-inebriated patron, who had an amazing resemblance to Kenny Powers, tried to use it(to no avail, thank god). That said, the beer menu was out-of-date. they need to print a menu that better reflects the existing inventory. The food was pretty good. I would give the food 4⁄5 stars. We had a pizza and the cheese bites, which were pretty good. The cheese bites come with a really amazing sauce. The pizza was a nice thin crust. It wasn’t anything to write home about, but it was solid. At the end of the day, I think you are coming here more for the drinks and ambiance, and the food is kind of a nice addition to soak up the booze. Overall, this place has potential, but needs to work out a few small kinks. Will definitely come back soon as it is a much needed concept in the Towson area.

First visit… I really like this place. Nice atmosphere. The server(Marlee) was super nice and attentive. The food was good. Appetizers were half off for happy hour. Portions were generous. Had the caprese salad, cream of crab soup, cheesy bread, and portobello sandwich. Enjoyed it all. Definitely trying the pizza next visit.

Food was very good, pizza crust was very crispy for Baltimore. Service was very lackluster at best 1. Had to ask another waiter for our water 2. It should be a que if you put your coat, you are looking for your check(10 minutes later) 3. Restaurant wasn’t even full of people to have such slow service We might give the restaurant another try, just because of the pizza I would give it at least 4 stars if the service was better

We went back for more pizza and craft brews. Still solid. The apple walnut salad looked tasty. Glad to see the place getting the crowd it deserves! Very impressed with the salmon wrap(I actually wasn’t expecting to be) fresh fish, good flavor. I would get it again. The chipotle chicken flatbread fell flat for me. It was ok, but not very interesting or particularly flavorful. I hope this place sticks around because it’s a nice addition to the area.

I’m halfway through my lunch and oh my gawd this place is awesome. For me it’s right between my home and office so that’s a win! Great music, all the sports you could want on the many screens, and amazing music, but all of that fades away with your first bite of anything. We started with the Duckpin Cheese Bites, which blew us away.(See photos) so flavorful and rich without being overly fried tasting. P. s. Delicious breading(I usually don’t eat breading but I did). The pizza of the month for January was braised beef ribs and horseradish sauce with onions and mushrooms, and green peppers which we did not have. I drooled starting with the first bite and until the last. Not everyone can make amazing food AND have amazing customer service but this place welcomed us from the entry way, our server was awesome, and(one of?) the owner(s?) came by to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and tipped us off to future pizzaa of the month! Love this place!!!

HIGHLY recommend this brand new place in Towson! Don’t let the location fool you(in a Days Inn), place is LEGIT! Hands down the best craft brew selection and great pizza(sauce has bite, crust is perfectly browned). Would get higher review with better building location.

Wife and I had a great experience there last night. It was a rainy cold Monday night but they could not have been more hospitable. We were the only two in the place but the beer, pizza, and service were great. Definitely recommending the place to everyone.

I stopped in after work last night. Not many people in there, but I think that is because they had just opened that week. The place looks great!!! Definitely nothing like it in the Towson area. A great selection of craft brews and the pizza I got was solid. The bartender, Brianca(I think) and was on point. I met one of the owners Tom and manager Scott and they could not have been more hospitable. Looks like a great crew and I wish them success.
