South Coast Steam Team is South Orange County’s premier floor care company. We specialize in cleaning the usual mediums: carpet, tile & grout, and upholstery; but we also excel in the deep cleaning of wood floors; the cleaning, polishing, and restoring of natural stone floors and counter tops, and the restoration of shower enclosures.

We do so with state of the art, truck mounted equipment, and owner operator Rick has all applicable IICRC certifications.

Rick is an IICRC certified Carpet Cleaning Technician and performs all services himself so you know all work will be done right, the first time. He understands that your time and needs are of the utmost importance.

Additionally, he knows that the least expensive, yet most effective form of advertising comes straight from the mouths of existing clients. As a small business owner for more than 18 years (more than half his adult life), Rick has grown to understand that honesty, integrity, and total satisfaction ensure repeat business for years to come.

Rick came highly recommended and did not disappoint! We sold our house in RSM and needed to have the carpets cleaned. After he was done, the carpet looked brand new! What an outstanding job — especially on the high traffic areas like our stairs and my office! I reached out over the phone to set up an appointment and he returned my call promptly! He quoted me a estimate and did not try and up-​sell services, which can be an issue with carpet cleaning companies! And he was on time and on budget — love that!
Please consider Rick and South Coast Steam team for all of your carpet/​flooring needs! He will be coming to our new house to help us with maintaining our new flooring and cleaning some areas in the carpet that need some extra help!

Thank you so much to Rick Hale and the quality job he does. This is the second time I have scheduled a job with him and the first was a bedroom in our rental that needed a deep cleaning. Wow! I can’t say enough good things about Rick Hale and South Coast Steam Team. My carpeting was in dire need of a cleaning and the light gray carpeting in one of my rooms (my office) had not been cleaned for years. Rick was able to remove stains that had existed for much too long and he made my carpeting look almost new. His process is great for pet owners (he’s a dog owner, too), and he is able to remove tough stains and odors. He also cleaned my loveseat and my area rugs and they look like new as well. Most importantly for those on a budget, his fees are reasonable and affordable. I will definitely be calling Rick again sometime in the next year. Thank you, Rick, for such a great job.

Just bought our first house and wanted to have the carpets cleaned before moving in. Rick came out and gave an estimate and we were able to schedule something two days later. Over the past 9 years my wife and I have lived in Orange County, we have used several carpet cleaning companies. South Coast Steam Team is the best one we have ever used. The quality of service is of the highest we have ever experienced!
Our carpet was as clean as it could get. The stains were GONE!
And to make things even better, they showed up on time and used their own water. There was not a drop of water left on the floor by the time they were done.

We found Rick through a friend and WOW! We have a pretty large home and lots of plush carpeting. We recently acquired two new dogs through pet adoption and they have had their share of challenges on our carpet. Rick got in here and really invested the time to work through the problem areas and did a very thorough job. The carpet dried very fast and there is little or no residue. We found his prices to be affordable and his ‘carpet side manner’ was great! He even let my nine year old son help out, and paid him a few bucks for helping. Great job Rick! We will definitely be referring you again in the future! This is the way business should be done.

We needed our carpets cleaned before the in-​laws showed up. The carpets were fairly new but what a surprise when Rick was finished cleaning them! He was on time, effecient and thorough with his cleaning. Pet stains and other marks were spotted first before the steaming began. When he was done, everything was back where it was supposed to be. No evidence he was there other than very clean carpets.
We also asked if he could clean shower tile and when he was done, our bathroom shower looked as good as the day we moved in– 21 years ago!
I would highly recommend Rick to any type of hard surface and carpet cleaning. He will explain what you need and how he cleans so there’s no mis-​understanding about what you are buying.

Easy review to write! Rick at South Coast Steam Team is thorough, likes to get the job done right the first time and proceeds with that extra bit of caution as to not just obliterate the things you own. I know plenty of guys in his line of work who will just shrug and say screw it when they are not sure if a particular procedure will damage what they are cleaning (since it’s not theirs). Rick will take a quick little extra step to do some research if necessary; thus saving time in the long run. I for one greatly appreciated that.
He has cleaned the carpet in my house twice (I have 2 dogs) and the wood floors in my shop twice. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome and I will continue to use and recommend SCST regularly.

I knew we would need some «clean up» after Christmas and so I set an appointment for 12⁄26. The South Coast Steam Team arrived promptly, on time and got right to work on two stained, sad looking couches! They were fast, efficient and above all else made the couches look like new! That’s tough to do in a household with kids!
I also had the team clean up an old, and I’m embarrassed to say, somewhat moldy shower. Looked awesome after they were finished!
I can and do recommend the South Coast Steam Team to anyone who needs steam cleaning in their household! Reasonable, fast and efficient!!!
