I went in for a full break job and were met by a very nice and knowledgeable customer service representative. I didn’t get her name, but she was very friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions. We needed our car back by a certain time and Jessie took care of us. The price was very reasonable and I am extremely satisfied which doesn’t happen often with garages. I usually feel like I got one pulled over on me. On a side note, I needed a ride to be picked up and Sam came and picked me up in my car. Sam was very friendly and helped make the whole experience very, well for lack of a better term, pleasant. They will definitely get my repeat business.

Had to tow my vehicle to Advance auto for overheating problem and had no transportation back home, so Jesse and Michael took care of me and drove me home, then next day called me and let me know what was the problem and fixed the vehicle very quickly and also did oil change and i picked up the vehicle and everything works fine now.
So i am very glad i took my vehicle to Advance auto, they treated me very good and fixed the problem.
I moved to this area not too long ago from Bay area and did not know anybody here, so now i have the place to take my cars in when i need something done.

Great shop! Friendly staff, and quality work, for a descent rate. The high rate of customers in their shop speaks for itself.

Never had a problem here before. I’ve had them look at something I think is wrong with my jeep and when I found out it’s nothing they charge me nothing. Not even the 45 $ look fee which I would have gladly paid. My transmission suddenly had an issue to where I couldn’t shift out of neutral (manual drive) took it here. They had it for 6 days and told me my tranny blew. Had it towed to a mechanic who put a BRAND NEW tranny in 4 months prior. It was stuck in gear and the tranny is still golden. Is that incompetence or greed? You tell me.
UPDATE: if you read the comment by the shop they are totally right. 100% my mistake. This is what happens when you have someone else doing the communication for you. I recommend advanced auto.

I recently moved to tracy and my a/​c went out right before summer, just my luck right? So I knew it had a leak and thought it was going to cost at least $ 1,000.00 so I kept putting off getting it fixed. I finally decided to at least get a diagnostic and see what I was looking at considering I was barely even driving my car due to the heat. I regret not coming here when my a/​c first went out because it didn’t cost anywhere near that amount. I’m talking under $ 200.00. And Their prices are fair and reasonable not to mention their customer service is amazing. I love it here and this will be my go to place anytime I need my car worked on from now on. Oh and did I mention they are fast too? Definitely recommend this place. 5 stars for me!

This place is tops! They are very honest and easy to deal with. We will always bring our cars here-​I never feel like they are being dishonest or trying to rip me off. Always very nice!

I’ve been using this business for the pass few years. Started well but I should of notice the issues when I had to continue to return my vehicles for problems that I had brought them there for. My last vehicle stayed there for almost 3 months and continue to tell me they were going to have it done. Had to take my vehicle out and take it to another shop. Taking on to much customers and not taking care of there loyal customers. They have lost my trust. The service and customer service has surely gone down hill.

Auto Repair Shops and Mechanics in general get the stereotypical bad wrap (often times deservedly so) for overcharging and charging for whatever they can — especially when dealing with women. It was quite refreshing that in my want to be hasty to get my 2013 Ford Focus repaired NOW (Friday), that Advance Auto cautioned me to be patient and have Ford check my car out on Monday (Ford’s earliest appt.) for what is most likely going to be covered under warranty.
It is great to know that I now have a local mechanic/​auto repair shop that is HONEST and values customer service. If Ford is too expensive, Advance Auto will definitely be my first stop. I will definitely recommend that my son’s take their mustangs and 150s here too — yes, we are a FORD family (with 1 VW outcast for commuting)!

I took my decently or maybe heavily modified (depending who you ask) Subaru WRX STI to this shop because I experienced severe engine problems on the freeway and pulled of immediately to the nearest shop.
When I arrived I was greeted by a nice lady who said they were booked for a few days — which is the norm. (at least business was good right? that’s reassuring) They called me back about two days later explaining how the PCV valve was leaking and that’s why it lost oil pressure and was smoking all over. They thought if we replaced that, the problem would be solved — which is way off and just flat wrong. (Sorry guys) The part was only going to cost about $ 20 bucks but labor would be around $ 550, because the manifold had to come off in order to get to it.
(In hindsight I realized you don’t need to take off the manifold to change the valve)
I knew they weren’t trying to rip me off… but I just did not think that they knew exactly how these cars go together. Anyone who owns an STI knows they are fun little Japaneses race cars and can sometimes be hard to work on. I called up my local shop in San Jose — they do almost all my builds. After what I told them what Advance Auto told me, they knew there was something else entirely wrong.
I did have to pay my local guys to bring the flat bed trailer and get the Suby home. The carnage was way worse then we had initially expected…
turbo blew, oil feed line, block overheated, blown head gasket so bad that the heads needed to be resurfaced and we had to open the block to assess the internal damage… it was catastrophic! damage!
So in all, I’m glad I didn’t change my PCV valve for nothing LOL.
you know what though, I did not experience any bad confrontation at all, no rudeness nor unprofessional at all. I WOULD recommend this shop to anyone who drives a bone stock American built vehicle or maybe your everyday bone stock Toyota or Honda. They probably do just fine work on these everyday cars
Don’t take a heavily modded car, truck or anything like that here BUT like I bet this shop does some good work on your everyday non-​enthusiast stock vehicles.

First time here… Nice people good service. Although they didn’t fix the problem but they told me what is the issue and said to take it to dealer for computer issues. I would come back here again.

I found this auto repair shop on Unilocal and from the amount of good reviews thought i would give it a try… I was NOT disappointed! I needed an oil change and a smog check and not only were they able to get me in today (i called first thing in the am and was given an appt of 1pm) but they took the exact amount of time they said it would be and were very honest with everything they did. I appreciate shops like this and will be making this my shop for anything future I need. Everyone was very friendly (including Lucky the beautiful cat!) and I would recommend these services to anyone.

This is the only place I will ever trust to take my car. Very trustworthy and extremely nice people.

What a ripoff! Sure they were nice but did my car get fixed? NO! Not only was I charged double than what I was quoted but somehow things that weren’t broken to begin with we’re suddenly broke. I’m sure he does good work for some people, but he has to or he wouldn’t have a business. I was just one of the people he chose to take advantage of.
Wow! Just read the response from advance auto. You are so full of crap. You never asked me about my coolant or radiator. In fact it was never mentioned until I came back to complain about the AC. That’s when it was accidentally mentioned by Jesse that the radiator was cracked on the very top!!! Yeah, cracked by your incompetent mechanic. By the way, I took my car to another shop and he fixed the AC no problem. So don’t write a bunch of crap to make me look like a liar. You know you took advantage of me and now you’re trying to save face. That’s sad.

Went today because I had a groupon for a (desperately needed) alignment on my van, which is modified for my wheelchair. The aforementioned makes anything done to it more complicated, and not everyone is always happy about working on it. Jesse answered all of my questions on the phone and was extremely kind about fitting me in when it was convenient for me, even earlier than my scheduled appt. He took the time to go over everything when I was done and was grateful for my business even if he got nothing more from me today than I redeemed voucher at a discounted price. I am grateful for his kindness and honest communication about my car, and will definitely be back if I needed anything else. Fantastic place, highly recommend :)

Great service! Great prices! Great people! I called to see if they could fit me in for a smog at 3:30. The owner told me to come by at 4. I got there by 3:45 and he took my car immediately. They were done in 15 min, everything sent to DMV and I was on my way. I brought a coupon with and they honored it exactly, no strings attached. Local company owned and run by a local couple so they actually care about whether or not you are happy and it shows. I will definitely be back!

This place was amazing. I rarely have a positive experience with automotive repair places, but this place was tops. I took my car in for an alignment. Before I even had it taken car of with the front counter the mechanic had my keys and was putting it on the rack. It was done in less than an hour.
The people were very friendly and a complete positive experience. Will definitely use them again.

I love these guys, and recommend them to everyone! They earned my trust the first time I brought my car in. They honestly pointed out a little mess up on their end and offered remedies to make it right. They are fair in labor prices & usually have repairs done by the evening. I also like the fact that they explain in detail what the repair consists of without having to ask.

We all know how difficult it is to find a trustworthy mechanic. So when my dad found Advance Auto, I was cautious and reluctant at first, but since my previous mechanic had tried to rip me off by suggesting EXPENSIVE repairs that weren’t even necessary (he said I needed a new radiator, when the actual issue was simply the thermostat), I decided to give Advance Auto a shot.
The staff is friendly and their pricing is competitive. They gave me a quote for a new alternator that’s several dollars below their competitors. Their work is fantastic and they back their work with a 2 yr /​24,000 mile warranty. They didn’t pressure me with any «sales pitch» and I felt that’s super important. I’m happy with the work they’ve done and look to using them in the future.
My only issues thus far, which explains the 4 stars instead of 5, is (1) the care for my car’s interior could’ve been better. I found a grease smudge on the fabric headliner above my door, which could’ve been easily avoided given some extra care. (2) They don’t solidly adhere to a time they say they will call. I asked for a quote for some parts and I was told they we’re gonna call me back in 15 minutes so they can put a price sheet together. One hour went by, then two, then three, until I had to call them back. This could be a result of being under-​staffed, which is a shame because they do such good work. If they can improve in these aspects, they’ll have a life-​long, loyal customer in me.
UPDATE: I got a message from Advance Auto apologizing for the oil smudge, and that they’ll gladly clean it off the next time I visit. I went in for an oil change a month later told them the year, make, and model of my car, and I was impressed that they had noted in their system about removing the stain! That’s service. Here’s your WELL DESERVED 5-​Star rating!

I received registration renewal notice from DMV and need smog check this year. So while I was looking online find a coupon of Advance Auto Tracy website. That coupon took me to them. Jessie Watson the inspector was nice and his assistant I forgot to ask her name was very friendly. I reached there without appointment and in about 10 to 15 minutes my car passed smog check test. Great service on great price. I will recommend to friends.
