Diggity Dog Playhouse Services

Diggity Dog Playhouse is a full-​service doggy daycare and overnight boarding facility. Unlike traditional kennels, we promote social interaction and play between dogs. All dogs are pre-​screened and placed in a group that fits their size and personality.

This hidden gem is somewhere I would recommend taking any dog to. We have two dogs, golden retriever, and a border collie mix. The retriever we took in for a grooming she needed badly, the lady did a great job, Shira (our retriever) looks beautiful. The vibe in there was very good, my border collie is a bit skiddish and doesn’t do well with cutting nails but she had no problem here. Snipped all four paws quick, with the least bit of complaining from our furry friend. As well as a wonderful price. Very satisfied!

This is an extremely well-​run business, run by folks who know and love dogs. I absolutely trust that my dogs will be safe and their welfare will be the playhouse’s first concern. They evaluate the dogs before they come in and make sure all vaccinations are up to date so your pup doesn’t get sick. I love the web cam so you can check in now and then to see your dogs play!

We used this facility last weekend for the first time and I’d have to say I was pretty pleased. It’s so nice knowing that you can leave your dogs to go away for a weekend & that they will be played with & taken care of. We missed our fur babies & they were happy to see us when we got them back. We have used Diggity Dog a few times in the past. We have always been very happy with the service and care they give our dog since she is a bit of a handful. She is always in isolation since she is very antisocial with dogs and certain people too. My reasoning for the 2 stars this past visit is because my dog got kennel cough from her overnight visit 3÷19÷15. Thankfully we caught it early enough and she’s on meds but what the stickler is that I am writing this review from my house instead of from Florida where I should be. I had to cancel my flight with my family and they went without me. Since she has kennel cough, they wouldn’t board her and nobody else would obviously. We found out the night before we were to leave in the morning for Florida so we had no time to find someone to come to our house either. Thankfully she isn’t in any distress and is doing well. Lesson here is that even though your dog is vaccinated and Diggity requires vaccination prior to boarding, our dogs can still catch it and pass it on to others.

Good place to take your dog and convenient. My pup had a great time, but he got kennel cough over the weekend. He was there for a day and half. Just hit or miss I suppose. He was fine the time before. Had all of his shots 7 months ago. They Did warn me before that they were seeing dogs who had there shots six months or longer had a higher chance of getting it. Advised me to get the kennel cough shot every six months and not yearly.

Larry and the staff he has hired are amazing! We’ve been taking our puppy here for 6 months maybe once or twice a week to burn off some energy. The staff seems to know every dog by name and is genuinely excited to see them. They take great care in knowing our dog’s feeding schedule and will even help reinforce our training (making our dog sit before opening a door). I can’t recommend Diggity Dog enough.

Large facility, mutts can play together instead of spending time isolated (if they get along with others), and the price is comparable to other places without the perks.

Brought my 2 large dogs here today for their ‘interview’ so the business could get to know them prior to daycare and boarding. WONDERFUL experience. The owner was very friendly and both of my dogs seemed to enjoy their time there. Large facility that seems to truly take into account that every dog is different and, like people, they have their own personalities. In house groomer that has her own schedule in addition to a trainer that offers group classes and private lessons. The trainer also offers to come to your home or train at the facility depending on the dogs needs and your goals.

Very impressed with Diggity Dog Playhouse. This business is run well, very organized, and employees are motivated and happy! We needed a kennel for my dogs for the weekend. One of my dogs has a disability, she is deaf. Diggity Dog Playhouse, welcomed both dogs with open arms and worked with her disability by communicating with her with visual cues. I like how they interview the dogs first to get a feel for their personalities and if they are a fit. I loved the Report Card they gave me when I picked them up showing me how their stay was! Great business! Would definitely recommend!

So my wife and I have been coming here for about 6 months now. We have a one year old German Shepherd/​Husky mix. Really high energy dog and these guys really do a great job of taking great care of her while we’re at work. She comes home tired, which is great. All of the staff is super friendly. Location is very clean and a huge area for the dogs to play in. Great business.

Wow if you haven’t brought your dog here for grooming do yourself a favor and go! I went to a bunch of groomers to be disappointed with price and overall job done on our standard poodle until we met Laura at diggity dog she is awesome… Not only was she great with our dog Marley she was affordable and did a great job on his hair cut, love it keep up the good work we will be seeing you soon and hope anyone reading this saves themselves headache time and money and go to diggity dog well worth it. Thanks Laura!

We boarded our two small dogs there a while back while we were on vacation. I’m honest here… my girls are a handful. They are yappy and hyper and just plain nuts. I was very impressed by the crew here. They know dogs. Not once were they put off … They were confident that there would be no issues. And… there weren’t. By the end of the stay, they were playing with all of the others in «general population».
What a relief.

We’ve been taking our 7 month old puppy here for about a month. We love it! Our puppy is excited to go and tired when she comes home. Great staff makes you feel very comfortable. I love that they have cameras and am looking forward to them adding new ones.

I have to say, I was sooo excited when I heard we were getting a doggy day care in Tracy! And when we took our 3 dogs for their first stay (a full weekend, Fri-​Sun) I was completely satisfied! The people there are awesome, Larry is fantastic and he tries to work with you in all ways possible! I felt like my dogs were well taken care of, and I love getting their doggy report at pick up. The cameras are awesome to be able to check on your pups when you want to take a sneak peek! I know they are working on getting more cameras in the future (which will make it all the better). I want to do everything I can to support Diggity Dog b/​c I always needed a place for my pups to go when we went out of town — and now we have that! (Also love that you can drop them off for a 5-​hr play day for $ 20!)

Love this place! So clean and it doesn’t smell like a place that has tons of dogs all the time. Love that there are 3 different play areas for the dogs… small dogs, big dogs and dogs that don’t get along with other dogs or need a time out. The prices are very reasonable compared to Bay Area places. My puppy loves Diggity Dog… she comes home so tired from playing all day. I would recommend DD to all my friends in the area.

Diggity Dog playhouse in Tracy is awesome! Our Mojo had a great time there while we were away. He played so hard he slept for an entire day straight when we got back! Great people and reasonable prices for boarding. And can you say «doggy cam»? I got to watch Mojo in action when he was hanging with his buddies :) Love this place!

I really wish they open the same exact kennel here in San Jose because I can’t seem to find a place quite like this place. My dog loves the place and that’s really important. Larry and staff are super help and flexible. Things come up and other kennels get annoyed and strict when you cancel or reschedule last minute. While I don’t do it often, stuff comes up. They understand that at Diggity Dog.
Sadly, I moved away from Tracy but I definitely recommend them to any dog owners around.

My dog Bentley loves going to Diggity Dog Playhouse. This place has big play areas for all size dogs. I love that the doors are open all day for them to go in and out when they want to. Everything is always clean and I love the doggy cam! I had my dog groomed there a couple of weeks ago and they did a great job. He was nice and evenly clipped and smelled great :)
He’s always exhausted when he comes home from playing with his friends. We will be joining Diggity Dog Playhouse again real soon :)
