Business Owner

Founded by the owner and president Richard Ortenheim, SkyView Aviation originally was located at the Hayward Executive Airport. For the past 5 years, SkyView has made their home at the Tracy Municipal Airport.

SkyView Aviation, LLC has been serving the local and international flight community since 1985. We boast a partner network reaching over 40 countries worldwide, including Sweden, Denmark, India, Poland, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, England, Australia and many others

Great instructor. Victor was patient when I trained for my pilot’s license. Everybody in the organization was willing to help me if I asked. Larger quantity of planes to rent than some of the other flight schools in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about Rich and everyone at Skyview Aviation. They maintain my Cessna T206U, for which they do an excellent job. Rich is extremely attentive to detail and not to mention they often work overtime to make sure we have the plane quickly. I also have a friend who is currently going through the flight school. He has been very impressed with instructors Victor and Ohan, both of whom have helped him progress towards getting his private.

After 2 years; 2 months and 22 days, I finally achieved my long time goal of getting my Private Pilots License. Many thanks to my CFI’s Brad and Greg for their tough love and a special thanks to the folks at Skyview for providing the Aircraft. I’d also like to thank Tracy’s own Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) Vince for an awesome check-​ride.
