Wynne’s Express Lube & Auto Repair

I have been going to John Wynne’s for several years. I recommend them for all your automotive services and if you need a tow. There technicians do a great job of troubleshooting your problem and finding things that you may not be aware of that need to be addressed. Trust is earned, and I trust Wynne’s automotive.

Took my car in for a simple state emission and inspection. Did not pass inspection because I was told the vehicle (only 52,000 miles on it) needed control arm bushings replaced. Also informed me of several other things that were wrong that had nothing to do with state inspection (so as to increase $$ on bill).Took the vehicle to a second place, inspection passed and was told that while the bushings were slightly cracked, they pass inspection and that Wynne’s was essentially attempting to screw me out of a huge chunk of money since c.a. bushings require approximately 12 – 14 hours of labor (big surprise). Secondly, Wynne’s also attempted to tell me that the brake rotors were glazed and should really be replaced (even though they pass inspection.) Mechanic #2 not only informed me that the breaks were fine and did not need replacement, that they should easily last another year or 10 000 miles before needing replacement. Use this business at your own risk, but be prepared for unnecessary work to be recommended in order to pad your bill.

Wynne’s Express Lube & Auto Repair is the only place where I will take my two cars for any type of servicing. In fact, Wynne’s takes care of all of my family members cars — six cars in total! His prices are fair and his work is high quality and with quick turn around. John, the owner, is just a nice down-​to-​earth guy and always willing to explain the work that needs to be done immediately and what can wait.

I can’t say enough good things about Wynne’s! They do all my automotive repairs on both my cars. No appt needed for oil changes! It’s close to work, so they brought my car to me when it was done. Rates are reasonable. Turnaround times are quick. John, the owner, is friendly and so is his whole staff!
