History
Established in 2013.
We started the Blue Heron Café in Cadillac, Michigan in 1996. We have a love for the Traverse City area and wanted to open a second location in this wonderful town. After searching for more than two years, we finally found the perfect location for our second restaurant. Blue Heron 2 is the culmination of another dream realized for our family.

Business Owner
Brian, the entrepreneur of the Blue Heron has a culinary background and training that started at the Amway Grand Plaza. He has cooked at restaurants from the east to the west coast.
Brian’s cooking background and interest in food influences the lunch menu that features soups, salads and sandwiches. Blue Heron also serves various breakfast entrees.
Brian has a passion for food and being creative. One signature item he created for our catering menu is the roasted vegetable lasagna — a favorite of everyone who tastes it!
