Service — that’s what won me over.
We were in TC for a mid-​week color tour and had reservations via the TC visitors bureau. We weren’t so thrilled with the first room we had, as it only had 1 window that faced the interior pool area. (Which if the re-​designed, would be perfect for a family, but with only a king size bed — didn’t seem to be aimed at the right customer)
Anyway, we asked to be moved, and much to our delight they put us in a room facing the bay, without charging us the difference in room rate. We were thrilled. It was a large room, with a balcony. The finishes/​fixtures weren’t super high end, but the view was amazing. And we were impressed that they had a playstation 2 in the room.
Also, we asked to stay an extra night & they gave us the same room, again at our orginial rate. And the evening girl at the reception desk always said hello and asked how our day was.
