This property has 154 2 bedroom/​2 bath and 3 bedroom/​3 bath condo suites directly on the beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico on Treasure Island. This all-​suite resort hotel is perfect for families and extended stay guests. All condo-​size suites offer a living/​dining room, full size kitchen with appliances, washer/​dryer and private balcony overlooking the beach.

Resort amenities include a 24 hour front desk, easy beach access, geo-​thermal heated pool with large sun deck, 2 whirlpools, and a splash and play kiddie pool. No need to carry cash on property, you can charge back to your room from the Café restaurant and Tiki beach bar. Skip nightly resort and parking fees! History

Established in 2006.

Treasure Island’s newest beachfront, all-​suite resort opened in June 2006. This unique six story property has under cover parking, all condo suites have private balconies facing the Gulf of Mexico. Rejuvenate in the tropical courtyard, complete with waterfalls and fountains. Since graduating from Florida State University, this long time Florida resident and avid traveler has built a successful career in the Resort and Hospitality industry. George brings his many years of experience to the helm, ensuring Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites continues to offer a Florida Gulf beach resort where families, friends and extended stay guests can build warm vacation memories.

Stayed here for a week, had to switch rooms when we arrived because the room smelled bad. Second room was better, but not great. Cleanliness of the room not great. Washer and dryer old and rusted. Showers I had to have cleaned again. Staff very nice and you can tell they are working hard. Probably will stay elsewhere when we return.

Booked my reservation through a third party company, there was 2 choices of rooms, partial ocean view and ocean view, I paid extra for the ocean view. Upon arrival, my room did not have the ocean view as i anticipated. When I checked with the front desk, I was told that I have booked on line which they do not offer the FULL OCEAN VIEW and if i wanted to upgrade I would have to pay extra $ 45 per day. I did upgrade the upgrade but i thought that the advertisement was deceiving. Otherwise, the place is very clean, nice and has an amazing view.

Currently in the «penthouse». While the place is nice, it’s no different than the suite we stayed in last year. Not sure why they call it the penthouse (and charge accordingly) other than the fact that it’s on the top floor. It’s the same size as all the other three bedrooms. The one thing that is ruining this trip is that there are so many freaking smokers that come out and chain-​smoke on the balconies and completely ruin any nice peaceful balcony time.

Wonderful views (make sure to ask for gulf view) and great staff. 4 stars because the housekeeping staff doesn’t do anything but supply new towels during your stay. Comfortable and mostly clean hotel rooms. Kitchen was nice but definitely would recommend cleaning it yourself before use. Loved our stay here. Living room not too comfortable but if you throw an extra few pillows on it the couches get a lot better! The pool is beautiful!

Very nice and clean. The suite had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub was great. We also spent a lot of time on the beach. The restaurant wasn’t anything to write home about but did okay for a quick burger.

I stayed in 204W. It was one of the two bedroom suites. It was clean and quite comfortable. It had a great view and lived up to the expectations that i had fot it. Beds were in great shape and provided a perfect night of sleep. Only small downside was the lack of a larger onsite bar/​café. It was closed at 9pm when we arrived and does not appear to keep a regular schedule. Only a small mark on an otherwise great stay. Would gladly book again.

Best vacation ever. We took our kids and the room was perfect 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/​dryer. Very reasonable price and the staff was so friendly. The pool and hottub were fabulous and the beach was gorgeous. Would recommend to anyone, absolutely perfect!

We DO NOT recommend Sunset Vista. Great location aside, the poolside bar at this resort is horrible. The liquor is overpriced and almost certainly watered down. We tried four different drinks, wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt and paying close attention to the bartenders drink pours. $ 40 later, we regret giving them a second chance. The «bucket» drink, boasting 11 different kinds of alcohol, tastes similar to watery fruit punch and the margaritas are essentially sweet icy water with a hint of lime. We’ll be spending our money at the liquor store down the street from now on.
Can’t help but question an establishment that up-​charges for watered down alcohol.

Nice place right on the beach! Rooms are nice in size. We had a 2 bedroom condo. The gulf view is spectacular. If it’s nice out, pool gets crowded very fast. Didn’t try hot tub because there were too many people in it with little kids. That was a little annoying. In my opinion, children should not be allowed in hot tubs.
Café is very convenient and staff was nice.

This is definitely a hidden gem — each suite is like a mini-​apartment in excellent condition. You can’t beat the view from the balcony, and the pool is also great. Wish the parking situation wasn’t so cramped, but that’s so minor in comparison. Fantastic location, right on the beach, and you can rent umbrellas or cabanas. There is an onsite bar, and a restaurant (although we had lunch there and it was decidedly not good, I would avoid). All in all, a lovely place for a beach get-​away.

Have stayed here many times. The rooms and accommodations are really great. Our stay wasn’t quite as good as previous stays because our room was towards the front of the complex — so our gulf view was really more of a parking lot view with a tiny sliver of the gulf barely visible beyond the pool area.
Generally speaking though, it’s a great place to stay. The pools are great for families, whether you have infants/​toddlers, or older kids. The beach access is very convenient and they have a large bin of take/​give beach toys so you don’t have to buy or bring your own.
I did notice more rowdy groups staying here this time, compared to other visits, and we had more problems with people being load and disruptive at night, but not terrible. Their was a very loud group that kept congregating outside the room next to us with several teenage boys that wore their shorts down below their underwear (i really don’t get that, plus I didn’t like my kids seeing teenage boys basically in their underwear). Hopefully this was a fluke and it’s not becoming more of a destination for younger disruptive types.
But overall it’s a great place to stay! The location and complex itself is great.

The rooms are excellent! Each room is a suite. Ours had 2 bathrooms…1 with a tub shower the other with a shower. The bedrooms each have tv’s and the living room has a big TV. Nice big kitchen. The price is very reasonable considering it is right on the beach! Staff is excellent, very courteous and helpful. Ive stayed here 4 times in 5 years and never been disappointed! The view off the balcony is amazing! There is also a small workout room, 2 pools (a kiddie and adult) and a hot tub! The little beach tiki bar is loads of fun as well! Love Sunset Vistas!

Most of the reviews are spot on so I will just give a run down of some of the positives and negatives I experienced during my week long stay. Remember though that these are private owned condos so each condo may be a little different.
+ Great views from all condos
+ Good tiki bar with creative drinks
+ Great location, just down from Johns Pass, right on the beach!
+ Two nice heated pools (1 for kiddies) and two HOT! Tubs
+ Perfect sized unit for 4 people and or two couples
+ Very good upkeep of the grounds and pool area
+ Washer/​dryer in unit
— Upstairs neighbors could be heard dragging chairs on the floor
— Cleanliness of our condo could have been a little better (not that it was gross or nasty) just could have cleaned with a bit more detail
— Very few kitchen essentials (our knives were falling apart, no salt/​pepper shakers etc…)
— Beds were uncomfortable
— Buy your own toilet paper… The stuff they give you sucks!!!
Overall none of the negatives would stop me from staying here again! I hope to be back soon!

Tonight is the last night of my two week stay at Sunset vistas. I loved my entire time here. You are greeted by Kay who seems always be at the front desk to assist with anything you might need. We found the room very spacious and comfortable. Having a washer and dryer in the room was great. both rooms had their own television with a larger one in the living room. There were four of us and it never felt crowded. I will likely be visiting here again.

Great place. The grounds are a bit lacking, but it’s right on the beach so can’t complain. The rooms are in GREAT shape! Very clean and somewhat updated. Suites are very spacious and all have great views. I was impressed with the rooms and at the price we paid felt we got more than our money’s worth. It’s better than I was expecting. It’s not a 5 star resort but it’s also not trying to be.

I picked this place on a last minute booking. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean. I didn’t have super high expectations because my room was way less expensive than the neighboring hotels and expected a 3 star. Plus I am a student and didn’t want to spend so much on a room I would hardly stay in.
Being said, the place is sort of like an apartment. There is a separate living and bedroom and you get a fridge, oven, and microwave. My room had a balcony with a small table and set of chairs. This would be an ideal place to bring a family or if you were staying for a week. They told me the maids came every couple of days, but mine came everyday to give me new towels and cleaned a bit. They didn’t make my bed, but I did have stuff all over it. If you needed them to come sooner, I could have just called for it.
The hotel has no room service or on site gym. They do have a place nearby they have an agreement with for Fitness and gave me a list of places that would deliver food. There is a pool, an area to play volleyball, BBQ pit, and lounge chairs at the edge of the the her pier. Although the place is off the bay, there is no beach to walk to. The wifi was free and I had a TV in the living area) with a couch and also in my room. The channel selection was limited, but I didn’t watch much TV. The elevator is slow and there is a security guard. Typically he keeps the noise down. I stayed during some college team visiting and they were noisy, but were kept quiet after 10pm. They offered a free shuttle to go to certain areas, but I had a car rental. Whole foods and the mall were within 15 minutes.
For those thinking of booking, I did an advance purchase and got my room, $ 100, and my second night for $ 140 off the hotel website. If you find a lower rate on Expedia or some other site, you can call them and they will match the price. I would do this if you don’t do an advanced purchase (no refunds on advance purchases) since you would have an option to cancel unlike other sites. Hope this helps!

This hotel is truly a great find! The staff is very friendly and accommodating even when I called them at 5am to check out (yikes). We also had multiple people staying with us and arriving at different times and the front desk was very flexible about letting them check in before we arrived so they didn’t have to sit out in the parking lot for several hours.
The prices are very reasonable in my opinion — each room is a suite with a full kitchen, balcony and a washer/​dryer. Plus you are right on the beach — it doesn’t get much better than that! There is a small bar right next to the beach that has some pretty creative (and strong) drinks. Adjacent to that is a pool and hot tub area if you’re not feeling the sandy surf.
I had a really wonderful time staying the Sunset Vistas — I would definitely be up for another much longer trip :)
