Much better than all those horrible chains that took over horrible Hamilton! A cool old school place to go to.

This is an old school type deli/diner that still has wood paneling and extremely reasonable prices. We ordered a short stack of French toast and silver dollar pancakes. The pancakes were definitely pretty good but the French toast seemed to have been made with white bread slices and were a bit boring. They definitely did try to season and sugar it up but it was really just basic. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the ambiance. It was pretty packed, everybody seemed happy, comfortable and definitely local. We would go back and try some of the breakfast sandwiches that looked pretty great.

The quickest and friendliest service in town, and the lowest prices in town by far. The food is always served before I finish my coffee

So cute! Made me super happy to walk into this old style homey deli filled with, what seems to be a bunch of regulars! Could be WAY cleaner but it is what it is. Kaiser rolls are ridiculous, kind of like brioche enjoy!

Love this place! Has the old charm that’s missing from Central Jersey. The counter is great, complete with the older crowd talking business and sports. Hoagies and other sandwiches are amazing, and the pickles are to die for! Huge, zesty, and very garlicky! Highly recommend for those looking for a classic deli.

Throw back luncheonette style restaurant in the Mercerville Shopping Center in Hamilton, NJ. Those old dudes sitting down stream from me were likely sitting in the same place the last time I was here in 1986. Little has changed. All the options are posted on the large board on the wall behind the counter. The waitress takes your order and then makes your lunch. Haven’t seen that style in a long time. My Chicken Salad on Rye was pretty good. It was loaded and the coupla slices of bacon thrown on top made for a tasty and filling meal. At $ 5.50 for the sandy, I was very satisfied. Not that I would become a regular at Fred & Pete’s, but it’s good to know a place like this continues to survive based on loyalty and low prices. The grub ain’t so bad neither.

This place is old school. You go in, seat yourself at a table, and order off a menu board on the wall. It is DIRTCHEAP. I get a cheese omelet($ 3.00) that comes with potatoes and I add a side of bacon($ 1.50). You can eat here for $ 5 easy. In terms of quality, I’d say it’s standard breakfast fare. Nothing fancy, but it does the job and it does it well. It’s located a couple doors down from Italian People’s Bakery which is an amazing post F&P’s stop.

Fred & Pete’s is a small restaurant located in a strip mall. As you walk in you realize that almost everyone is Italian and knows each other. My grandfather loves this place so when I head down to Jersey this is where we go for breakfast. The grill is right behind the counter so you can watch as they prepare your meal. The owner is very nice and is involved in all aspects of running the place. He sat us and then i saw him helping out on the grill. The menu is on a large board behind the counter and everything is made fresh and it comes out fast. The prices are cheap! Our bill was $ 20 for(4) people. The food has always been good and I enjoy stopping in when I’m in Jersey.
