Bryce Canyon Inn

We arrived at check-​in time and were warmly greeted and given our cabin. I remarked on a picture behind the front desk and the woman suggested that we drive down to Grand Staircase-​Escalante National Monument to visit Willis Creek. DON’T MISS THIS! It is stunning. Back to our cabin… We were traveling with our 11 year old daughter who appreciated the open wifi network. It crapped out on our second night but who cares — a little unplugging never hurt anyone. The cabin was immaculate, fully stocked with plenty of amenities and fresh, large bath towels. We loved being able to sit outside in the evening and enjoy the stunning southern Utah sunset. Everyone at this little hotel was extremely kind and accommodating. We would absolutely recommend Bryce Canyon Inn to our friends! They even rent out Grandma’s house in the back for larger families! Keep in mind that this hotel is about 5 miles or so from the entrance to Bryce Canyon NP. This worked very well for us — we felt that it was nice to be away from the über touristy area just before the park entrance.

We booked two rooms in the motor lodge section of the hotel. As you first arrive, you might be put off by the motor lodge look of the rooms (the entrance to our rooms was from the back parking lot next to the dumpsters) Once you’re inside, you’ll discover very clean good size rooms with comfortable beds.
We did not stay in the cabins which did appear to be more charming with less obstructed views off of their separate front porches, but the rooms we booked met our needs. We wanted to economize by staying in the motor Lodge since we needed to book two rooms and it was a very good compromise.

Great place to stay at while visiting Bryce. The cabins are so warm and cozy! The water is very hot! The cabins look basic but have everything you can possibly need. Parking is super convenient as it is right in front of your cabin. There is a pizza place right across the parking lot. It is a little far from the Bryce Canyon Park entrance, but still worth it.
I am not sure about the breakfast because they told us there was none except for this one pastry, but I wouldn’t count that as breakfast.
It is a great deal for what you get given your other options in the area.

This is the best cabin my wife and I have ever stayed in. The cabin is rock solid and kept us nice and warm and cozy with temperatures in the 20’s outside at night. It’s very spacious, has everything you need, super clean, it even has a bath tub /​shower. And, after a long trip, and a day of hiking, the bed is awesome! It’s not far from Bryce and other area attractions. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip out this way. It’s also very helpful that there is a pizza place next to it. Everyone has been super friendly.

This is a perfect place to stay while visiting Bryce Canyon National Park, about 10 – 15 minute drive to park entrance. The cabins were adorable!!! We stayed in a cabin that was very spacious and had two queen beds. There are high ceilings so you don’t feel so crammed. Parking is just out front, so you can keep an eye of things if you’re travelling across country like we were at the time. TV, wifi and ceiling fan (can’t remember if there was AC) all worked very well! The cabin was very clean and the inn as a whole very well kept. The front desk clerk (older gentleman) seemed like the owner and was very hospitable. There is a small town store just a 5 minute or less walk away with plenty of groceries. There’s even a little restaurant next store. Overall, very comfortable and convenient lodging!

We are staying in one cabin and it’s super clean and has everything you need. It is just a few minutes away from the park entrance.

Comfortable and clean. Very spacious and located just 15 minutes from Bryce Canyon. Parking right in front of the cabin door, which was very convenient.
I liked the frontier style. Complimentary breakfast was simple, but enough to start the day!

We stayed in a double queen cabin. The vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan were a big plus. The cabin floor actually sloped just a bit which we found interesting. The unit was clean. My wife lost a chain which the housekeeping person found — thanks again.
This is not a fancy inn but the value for the money ($ 109/​night) is excellent. Breakfast is basic (4 cereals, yogurt, English muffin, mini bagels, milk, Apple and orange juice, bananas, apples and oranges.
The employees provided excellent information and even recommended a place to have my eyeglasses repaired. This is super service.
It was handy to park at the door. Additionally, the room had a built in bottle opener near the sink. The two outside chairs were comfortable — perfect for enjoying the cool dry air. Unfortunately, the two inside wood chairs were extremely uncomfortable.
The short drive to Bryce is no big deal and you have the benefit of not being near the congestion at Rubys.

Clean spacious log cabins, parking right in front of the door. The owners even offered that in case of rain I could park my motorbike under a roof on a small patio.
Located conveniently just a short drive from Bryce Canyon.
Complimentary continental breakfast was basic but nice. Enough to hit the road.
One regret: although they also serve best coffee in the area (Bryce Canyon Coffee Co.), this coffee does not come with breakfast. Pity!

My wife and I had a great time. We picked this little gem based on their Unilocal rating. They deserve 4+ stars for the cleanliness, amenities (each rooms had flat screen TV with better cable choices than I get at home, refrigerators, microwave, ceiling fan), charm and peacefulness. Their room rates are ridiculously low and the Continental breakfast was outstanding. In the lobby is also the Bryce Canyon Coffee Co. with full on specialty coffees that rival Starbucks. We had a blast and would come back again and again.

While certainly not as flashy as Ruby’s, I don’t think my visit to Bryce Canyon would have been as memorable had I not stayed here. I rented the Lower 40 cottage for 1 night, and it was very much worth it.
My travel companion and I were as giddy as little children when we stayed at the cottage. Sure, it’s about 10 – 15 min outside of Tropic, but it’s quiet and surrounded by peaceful farmland. At night, every star in the sky is visible, and at dawn, the way the sunlight creeps over the farm fields is incredibly refreshing. This little cottage made my vacation.
PS: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Family-​owned operations always have that extra touch of enthusiasm.

A little farther away than Ruby’s Inn, but worth it! Only a 15 min drive from Bryce Canyon, and you get a lot more for your money! Very cute little wood cabin with a comfortable bed, quaint wood furniture and old western décor (including what seems to be an actually handmade patchwork quilt). Easy to use AC unit, fridge and microwave. Strong showerhead. Friendly staff — all the important stuff without any expensive bells and whistles.

BCI is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are large and clean, and Tropic is a quiet town. Yes, it is 15 minutes back to Bryce. That is why it is cheaper and quieter here. I would stay here again anytime, and one can continue on the highway for a very, very scenic route from here up to Capitol Reef NP.

This place was a home away from home. Everything in the cabin was clean and surprisingly «woody». It felt very charming. The host staff was very friendly even at the late evening… even offered us pizza delivered if we havent had dinner, very thoughtful. Wished we stayed to check out the town, bookmarked this place.

Very clean and cozy place. Continental breakfast has a good healthy selection and nice friendly staff. They also make home made bakeries daily and specialty coffee. Ahhhh! This is R & R. :)

This place is fantastic! We’re staying in one of the cabins and it’s super clean, spacious & cozy. It has everything you need: good bed, bath, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, AC and an even an alarm clock that connects to your phone. The owners are great, very friendly and welcoming. Oh and they’re the only place with a real espresso machine in town. Great coffee! :)))) In 3 words: Fan Tas Tic!

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Bryce Canyon. The cabins were very clean and modern with a rustic touch. I want to emphasize the «clean» part. Our cabin was probably one of the most spotless lodgings I’ve ever slept in. The neat freak in me was jumping for joy! I also want to point out that the continental breakfast was above average. They had plenty of bagels, pastries, fresh fruit and the coffee was somewhat drinkable.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for rustic style accommodations and trying to avoid the tourist trap in Bryce Canyon City.

To be honest I booked 2 nights at Bryce Canyon Inn because the hotels at the entrance of the park were all sold out. But I didn’t regret it! What a wonderful place to stay! And way less expensive than the hotels at the entrance of the park.
They have rooms and cabins. I booked a cabin and it was large, very nice with wood paneled walls, and with a fridge and a microwave. The continental breakfast is included, and you have free WiFi. Some cabins are located very close to the main road, but there is almost no traffic at night so no problem.
There is a pizzeria, a restaurant and a grocery store just next to the cabins.
From the cabin to the entrance of the park it’s a 10 minute drive, which can be considered as the only downside. Also maybe this road would probably make some people feel unsafe at night since there’s no lights, but otherwise it’s fine.

A little paradise — go for the lower 40 ranch cottage
me and my wife made a road trip and after about 3.000 miles, we jumped in this little paradise! I would definitely suggest to take the small private cottage (where we stayed) instead of the rooms in downtown (where there’s nothign to do or enjoy). you have your own porch facing a private pond, surrounded by mountains and horses/​cows of the property. You can cook your food and enjoy some loneliness! If you are lucky you can see wildlife just in front of your house.

3.25 stars. (How’s that for indecisive?)
Pros:
— Inexpensive (compared to the hotels at Bryce Canyon.) We paid $ 99/​night + tax in prime season.
— Cute cabins.
— Extra outlets in the room for charging electronic gizmos. (You’d be surprised by how many hotels don’t have this.)
— Respectable free breakfast.
— Very clean and new.
Cons:
— Far from the action of Bryce Canyon (about a 20 minute drive through narrow, windy, dark mountain roads.)
— Inadequate window shades. I kept waking up and thinking it was morning because of a streetlamp outside. White vertical blinds aren’t going to do it! Plus, you could see into the room, if you wanted to.
There was nothing wrong with the hotel itself, but I wouldn’t stay here again. If you only have a limited time at Bryce, stay closer to the park. The difference in price by far makes up for the convenience of being a 5 minute shuttle ride away.
