There’s not very many sushi or good Thai places out here in Troutdale… but we ran into this spot and absolutely fell in love! Their sushi is awesome and so is their Thai food. If you like curry, the crispy duck red curry is to die for! Hands down the best curry I’ve had so far. And the owner is super sweet and has such amazing customer service.

The Siam Sushi Restaurant has that«wow that was good» factor. The sashimi was fresh and crisp, and not too thick(a common mistake), and the ginger… wow. A little expensive but worth the time and money. The people also greatly added to the experience, no regrets!

We loved the eel roll, miso soup and spicy beef salad. Very fresh eel and well seasoned soup and salad. Husband would have liked a little extra eel sauce drizzled on his plate, but really appreciated the quality of the eel. We look forward to trying Thai dishes next time. Very friendly, attentive and fast service on a cold rainy sunday afternoon. Note: parking up front is limited, bur plenty of parking behind restaurant. Server told us if you park in back, just come up door 161 and you are inside the restaurant(no need to walk all the way around :)

Service was nice but very slow. Food is okay. Prices are kind of on the higher side. I would go again only because it’s the closest location. But it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Server was friendly and attentive but the food took forever and it was the lamest sushi we have ever had. The rolls were $ 11+ and were smaller than what you get from the grocery store. Not much fish, no flavor.

I called to say I was walking half mile from my hotel to get there and they graciously waited for me so I could get some take out. Very friendly staff. Had the tuna roll, California roll and a veggie roll for my vegan friend. Everything was delicious.

Yum Yum Yum! I love this place! It’s perfect for any kind of outing and the food is phenomenal. The basil duck is WOW and the spicy tuna rolls are perfectly spicy. You can feel good about supporting local business and getting your money’s worth when you eat here. Plus the staff is so friendly and clearly work very hard to deliver great food!

Meet up with my sister for lunch in the Troutdale area. I don’t think I have ever been to their downtown area before, but it has this picturesque mountain town feel to it. She was craving Thai food and has been to Siam Sushi for the sushi. Weird, right? Its a Japanese and Thai food restaurant. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived that there wasn’t a wait – they had a back room plus counter seating available as well, plenty of space open. The server was very friendly and funny. I got Tofu Pad Thai and the Siam Roll and my sister got the Pad Thai and California Roll Combo. I asked for my noodles to be really hot/spicy and it came out mild so I just asked for extra pepper flakes – it had good flavor and texture, not dry like some places. I didn’t care so much for the Siam Roll, the spicy tuna on top was pretty gray in color – it wasn’t fresh and it looked like they tried to disguise it by mixing old spicy tuna with new spicy tuna. That was definitely not worth $ 11.95. I would’ve been just content with the Pad Thai. Efficient service, we were able to finish our meal within my hour lunch break.

What a gem! After driving 10 + hrs finding this place was a real treat. We had the spicy tuna roll and the green curry with chicken. The roll was so fresh and flavorful, it melted in your mouth! And the green curry didn’t fall behind! Excellent food and outstanding service! Don’t miss it if you are in the area!

I love this place for lunch. Tried dinner tonight and wasn’t impressed. Portions were smaller for whatever reason. Overall a good place. I’ll keep going back.

Can I say slow as hell? Got here at 6:30pm waited until 7:30 just to get half my dang order. Salmon roll” I’m like just to let you know I referee two of these. It’s 7:20 now… Just watched this circus clown serve 3 people there whole meal. Let me remind you I’m here alone. Just me. I ordered a Thai coffee, and two orders of the salmon roll. Still waiting for my other rolls. Watching this group of 3 that came in after me finish up there meal. Why the truck do you guys take ten years for one dude? And if your so slow get another noob to serve or make sushi. Food is good, but I don’t have a century to spend each time I eat. Almost an hour is way to dang long to serve one person. Have a nice day

Lovely little place. Small café feel. Plenty of noodle, curry and sushi options with prices ranging from about $ 9 to $ 15 per plate/entrée not including appetizers. Our party had 4 adults and 1 toddler. I was a little nervous to bring my 20 month old son who loves to make loud noises and throw things. What can I say, we’re rebels. That or we’re just rude to all the people on a date night trying to get away from toddlers/children. I digress. The staff was pleasant and timely. Our waiter was welcoming to our little guy and gladly brought us a highchair. We assumed the menu would not be toddler friendly so we brought our own however we ordered the Pad Thai if we got it to go our son would have loved it(he typically refuses all food served by a restaurant when we’re AT the restaurant itself). It was very mild and pleasing – he would have gobbled it up if we were at home. We also ordered the Beauty and Beast Roll(eel, tuna and avocado). It was quite good. Fresh and light. Overall our experience was peaceful(within reason of a toddler), timely and satisfying. I hope to visit again and try some of the other sushi options as well as the Sake.

Well I had a long truthful review written out but my rarely seen sensitive side came out as I was proof reading it and made me feel sorry for the owner. So all I will say is, 1: if your going to call your self sushi make sure you have more Japanese food than Thai food and have good quality sushi. It’s misleading and false advertising in my book. 2: focus on one style of food and make it good instead of two mediocre types. 3: step your game up, if your going to charge on the high end for your food then make sure it’s worth that. I’ve had much much better for far less. Needless to say I will not be going back.

I like to get the chicken pad thai to-go. It’s about $ 8 and is 2 meals for me, which is decent. Also, the wait staff have always been really friendly. I don’t really like to eat in because it’s a little too small, so when my partner and I are the only people in there, I feel like I’m really conscious of the wait staff. I know that probably doesn’t make sense, but it’s distracting, LoL. One of the times I have eaten in, it took them so long to make my partner’s tempura roll that I was asking for a box when they brought his food. However, the waitress comped about a third of our meal because of it, which was appreciated. I also think it’s weird that they only serve soda out of a can. I guess these things are the reason for the absent star.

I just ate here with a friend over the weekend and loved it. Great service from our waitress. I had the red curry with chicken. We also had sushi and the rolls were HUGE! The salmon skin roll was incredible. I was able to get my meal gluten-free but when I asked for wheat-free tamari they didn’t have any so if you have Celiac and really need that to mix with the wasabi then I’d recommend bringing your own wheat-free tamari packets(or maybe they will read this and order some for all us Celiac/gluten-free folks). We also had the spicy tuna roll, which my friend liked a lot. I didn’t really care for the taste of that. Good experience and nice ambiance!

Great place for a quick lunch in Troutdale. Vegetable sushi is tasty and I quite enjoy their curry offerings, too. Try the veggie roll and the gyoza with sweet chili sauce!
