Subsequently completed a Pre-​Doctoral Intra-​Mural Research Training Award at the National Institutes of Health 1998.

Returned to Michigan for graduate medical education at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Elected to Aesculapians Community Service Honor Society in Year II. Multiple clerkship honors including Year III overall Honors.

Doctor of Medicine conferred 2002.

Undertook clinical research in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan 2002 – 2003.

Internship and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/​McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Chicago, IL 2003 – 2006.

After completing residency joined Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates, Chicago, IL as an Internal Medicine Physician in private practice.

Upon returning to Michigan, joined Troy Internal Medicine June 2013.
