I brought in a mantel clock in for a free estimate and which they quoted me $ 500 to do a complete overhaul and said they could not just repair the clock.
They said it would take 10 to 12 weeks for overhaul.
They also quoted me $ 200 to convert it over to a quartz clock? which I looked and I can buy the same exact model brand new on Amazon for $ 179 already is a quart version.
I picked up my clock and took it to Roseville clock on Gratiot where they inspected it and advise me it could be repaired for $ 68 or a complete overhaul for $ 285 so I proceeded with the repair, it took about 10 minutes including small talk about the weather.
Now my clock is back at home on the mantle where it belongs and keeping perfect time.

Great location and a nice shop but $ 15 to re-​size a bracket watch band seems excessive to me.
