History

Established in 2003.

Craig Fierro started the business in the middle of 2003 working for Autoglass Express of Auburn and bought the shop and the name in 2005. He has been in the Industry for over 20 years. He is a local resident of Truckee with a wife and 2 daughters.

Richard Lusser was born and raised right here in Truckee Ca. and has been in the Auto Glass Industry for more than 10 years. He spends his free time motorcycle trail riding, taking his dog for a swim and 4 wheeling.

Derek Phillips is a transplant from Michigan, he has lived in Truckee for 3 years and has been with us for a year now. He earned a Art degree while attending school in Florida. He does art, graphic and skateboard design in his free time. He currently holds a position of CSR, and loves what he does.

Although Victor Diaz is no longer with us, he has started his own business, DBA Truckee Auto Detail. We have teamed up with Victor to offer car and truck detailing services to our customers and to Truckee-​Tahoe.

He started in Autoglass in Lodi Ca. in 1992 while he was in high school. Worked for Stockton Autoglass for ten years before moving to Denver Co. for 3 years were he became the General Manager of Abra Autobody and Glass and oversaw the glass operations in Colorado, met his wife and they decided to move back to California and make Truckee their home and raise a family. He has lived in Truckee for the last 12 years. He is a member of the Truckee Optimist Club, High Sierra Cruisers, Commissions a bowling league in the winter and is a volunteer at Truckee High School baseball program.

Excellent work, and very accommodating with the service logistics. We had a badly cracked windshield just before Christmas, and set up a mobile repair appt just after Christmas. The morning of the appt, they called me to say that since the weather was a little unsettled, and outdoor repair wasn’t a great idea. They offered to drive our car from Soda Springs to their shop in Truckee, as I was already out skiing, and also I didn’t feel comfortable driving with such a big spider web in the drivers side.
They had the car back in our driveway by early afternoon, with glass looking as good as new. BTW, they also ordered both the heated and non-​heated versions, as I couldn’t tell which one I had, and installed the heated one, which is what I had.

A few weeks back I drove my fiancé’s car and noticed how pitted the windshield was, and how bad the visibility was when driving into the sun. I called AutoGlass Express and scheduled for a good time for me the next week. They offered to come to my house and change out the windshield there, and I agreed.
The installers were on time, professional and did a great job. The cost was less than I was expecting to pay for this without using insurance. The new windshield is so nice, it feels like a new car. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs auto glass work done.

I want to give a special thank you to auto glass express! They go above and beyond to take care of the people of truckee. Thanks to them and their season of giving giveaway I now have new tires to get to my doctors appointments safely and get my newborn son around once he arrives in a few weeks. My husband also brought his work truck in to them to get a few chips repaired on the windshield before more damage occurred, and they did a great job. Thanks guys! I would highly recommend them for all your auto glass needs.

So a couple days before Thanksgiving I come out of work to find my rear window smashed do to what I think was natural causes. Currently stationed with the Coast Guard up in Eureka. Currently insured with USAA. The girl in the window claims department worked with me for over an hour to find someone to get it done. Had a trip planned to come down to Truckee to visit some friends, Eurkea was predicting multiple days of rain. No one in Eureka could see the Jeep until the following week. Explain my situation with the trip I had planned. The woman in claims suggested we try for something in Tahoe/​Truckee. She puts me on hold, next thing I know she patches Craig from Auto Glass Express through. I explain my situation, and Craig offers to come in and help me out the day after Thanksgiving. What a huge help this was. Craig was professional from start to finish. Shop was very clean and organized. Chatted it up for awhile. Real down to earth. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and most of all helping people out. And it reflects. Do yourself a favor and go see Craig at Auto Glass Express. –Matt

I have used Autoglass Express in Truckee several times in the past and have always had excellent service. They have come directly to my work to replace a windshield on my truck, my teenage daughter’s car and recently did a restoration on my headlights.(which looks brand new!) It is extremely hard for me to take time off work, use my vacation time and find a ride back and forth to work. Autoglass Express has saved me time and made my day stress free! Craig’s employee’s Richard, Anthony and Derrick have provided the best customer service and made my life so much easier.

Thank you to Craig and his team! They are easy to work with, quick and always super helpful. My husband and I have had 3 windows replaced, all deserve a 5 star rating but this last one deserved a 6 star rating (if that was possible) because they fixed extra molding, cleaned up another shops sloppy job and fixed a loose plastic molding on my roof, all for no extra charge. I wish all shops treated their customers like this!

Craig really helps us out when our sunroof shattered. Although he could not fix it because the glass was a special order item and we were visiting from SF, he spent close to an hour taping it up so we could get back home. He also refused to take any payment. This is old school customer service. Cheers Craig!

Autoglass Express Truckee did excellent work for me. Came to my house to replace a cracked windshield. I watched them closely. The are fast ands accurate… could not be any better… they are also the preferred glass replacer for 5 – 6 major insurance companies so there is no paperwork for the owner to do exept write a check for the deductible!

I had a windshield crack during a drive up to Lake Tahoe for vacation. I did not want to waste my family’s valuable vacation time sitting around an auto body shop waiting for repairs. Autoglass Express was very responsive by phone and email and sent a mobile crew out to make the repairs. Repairs took only an hour. The price charged was less than I have been charged for similar repairs in the past. Great company, great service.

Top notch service and exceptional attention to detail. Had my windshield replaced along with a glass treatment to repel water, and my old head lamps were re-​polished now looking good as new enhancing my head light view for safer driving. I also received some high quality all season new windshield wiper blades. I was very impressed with their customer service, professionalism, and timeliness. They kept their word, and made me feel valued and respected. Can’t thank the owner and their great employees enough. I learned they also install custom bumpers, led lighting, and all weather floor mats. There was not a single sales pitch, just the quality atmosphere and professionalism reminded me of other needs i had to take care of beyond a new durable long lasting windshield. Thanks again. AutoGlass Express Truckee is an excellent glass repair shop with super friendly and helpful employees. I’ve used them twice now for a window replacement and a repair, and each time the process was easy and yielded great results. I have insurance through Progressive and AutoGlass took care of all the paperwork to complete the claim. It is also super convenient that they will come to you to do the repair (I live in Incline Village up at the lake). AutoGlass Express is the best in the region.

Literally a duck hit my windshield in whiteout conditions the other night. I called AutoGlass Express in the morning at 9 hoping I could get the windshield done in a few days at most. Their truck was en route to the warehouse, so they were able to get my windshield on the delivery truck and installed that afternoon. Craig was very helpful on the phone and the price was the same as Safelite in Reno, but being able to shop local saved us the drive and gas money, so really, it was cheaper than fixing it in «the big city.» Our other car has a small crack in the windshield, so we will return again when the crack spreads.
Note: the location pin on the map is incorrect and it’s just West down Pioneer Trail a bit further than the map says, but the address number is correct.

These guys are amazing! After an unscrupulous individual in San Francisco took my bag via breaking my window then a windy drive home I was not excited about the hoops I imagined were necessary to replace the window — thinking it’d be rather hard here in Truckee. I called them first thing in the morning, my car was picked up from my work and I was back with a whole car by the afternoon. The price was also very reasonable. I will recommend this team to everyone.

Sunday morning a pine cone fell and shattered my windshield while I was in Tahoma. I called a big company and they said they had a shop in Truckee so I set everything up to happen the next morning when they were open. Turns out the shop was in Carson city and mobile repair couldn’t get to my car until Wednesday. I called Craig this morning at AutoGlass Express and explained what had happened. He had someone get in a car and drive to Reno and get a new windshield, told me to have my car there in an hour and a half and they would replace.

This place is great! I had a broken side window in my Subaru and they found me a used one and had it installed a few days later. I got a few other quotes, and they were for $ 500 plus. These guys got me the best deal possible (about $ 300) and made me a happy customer, where other places were more concerned with making more money off me.
I would definitely recommend Auto Glass Express!
