Thanks Independent Technologies for the impeccable service and amazing attention to detail on our last service call. As a small business owner the last thing I want to be dealing with during my busy season is computer issues. When we called Dave last week to go over some problems we were having he showed up that day (we we’re even in the office) and he fixed the concerns we expressed along with a lot of other issues that we were unaware of. He made it possible to access our database remotely from our iPhone which has proven to be so beneficial. These guys are on it !

Dave is my go-​to guy for all of my computer & tech related issues. He sees the job through from start to finish (even when it involves the return of 2 different computers & associated complex issues). Dave’s response time is always immediate, which is highly impressive in a world of mediocre customer service standards. He has worked overtime and late into the evening at times in order to get me a working machine. Thank you Dave for all you’ve done for me and for allowing me to know that I have a computer guru that I can count on at a moments notice!

So it was either three strikes and you’re out or three time’s the charm. I called Dave at IT after 2 horrible, unsatisfactory contacts with local computer tech businesses. Dave arrived, Truckee Time, and got straight to work. He solved my problems that no one else was able to do, was patient, and explained everything he did and answered all my questions. Then later in the day when my t.v. couldn’t pick up my internet, Dave made another trip out to my home and get me connected so that I could watch the latest episodes of Scandal. All that and he even put his cup of coffee in the sink. This guy is great. Don’t call anyone else. Call Dave at IT. Three time’s the charm.

I bought a used GoPro camera from a friend and he did not have a copy of the software that came with it. Naively I downloaded a copy from the interwebs and next thing you know I was in pop up hell. I contacted Dave and he was able to log on to my machine from his office and clean up all the malware. He made a few suggestions on how to clean up my hard drive to speed up my laptop and sorted it all out. The whole thing took less than thirty minutes. Independent Technologies is my new go to for all my tech needs.

I called Independent Technologies and left a message at 7:30 am on a weekday while in the Truckee area. I was attending a conference and was having a laptop emergency. I was surprised to get a return call almost immediately. Dave was extremely flexible and worked with my schedule, offering to look at my laptop early the next morning so I could resume my work. He is an earnest and trustworthy fellow and I would trust him with my computer needs anytime. The level of customer service he provides is uncommon and I only wish his business was closer to San Francisco.

I thought my computer and files were «history» after a Norton download a few months ago. Somehow, I was not able to get into my Administrators Account and was locked out totally. Tried a few things like NeoTechnology and IYOGI. Those are a farce so stay away from them! Another friend had problems with them too. I contacted Dave, and he was able to get everything back in working order in a short period of time. Next time I have issues, I’m going straight to Dave. Thanks again. Judy

I came back home after a few days, having left my computer at home, off but plugged in, and couldn’t get past my security portal. This never happened before — did the cleaning ladies bump it? Was it a power surge? In any case, I called Dave at Independent Technologies and he was willing to take a look at it immediately. He even offered to come to my home, as I was about to go away again. The bottom line is that Dave fixed the problem in no time. When seeing him I also learned that he works on many techno related things, of which I will be calling him for too. Thank you Dave!

Yesterday Dave was my computer hero! I had recently replaced the hard drive in my MacBook and after two visits to the Apple Store Genius Bar to get my OS up-​to-​date I just couldn’t fathom heading back again when I was unable to restore my computer via an external drive and time machine. In steps Dave. Within 5 minutes of Facebook IMs my computer was on the road to restoration! He knew exactly what questions to ask and how to explain what I needed to do in simple clear steps. And he even checked back in later to make sure everything had restored properly. Thanks Dave for your efficiency and help. You rock!!!

Dave helped me set up my home entertainment system and later worked out a problem I had with my internet connection and wireless router. Both visits he was efficient, knowledgeable, punctual, and on top of it all a great guy. He offered a bunch of different solutions, and clearly knows his stuff.
