History

Established in 1994.

Mark Tanner started his business in 1994 with only a handful of employees. Today Mark employs a staff of 40 of the best craftsman in the Tahoe Truckee area. Their combined years of experience gives Mark Tanner Construction a leg up on the competition with an unparalleled knowledge of local building trends and long standing relationships with the best sub-​contractors in the area.

Business Owner

After graduating from U.C. Davis with his degree in Political Science, Mark pursued his passion for building. This love of construction started when Mark was in high school and worked on the family ranch in Jackson, California doing small repairs as needed on many of the older buildings located there.

Mark has been married to his wife, Kathy for ten years and have three children aged 7, 5 and 3. They enjoy living the Tahoe lifestyle with skiing in the winter and beach days or concerts in the park during the summer months.
