Our car developed a horrendous sound two days after xmas that was loud enough that people were flagging us to tell us to stop. We called and were able to get the car taken a look at straight away. He took off the front wheel and had a thorough look before concluding that a pebble had gotten stuck in the wheel. He said there was no charge even though he’d spent a good amount of time examining everything and providing us with reassurance. (We of course gave a good tip anyway).

Justin is honest, quick and decently priced. I highly recommend him as a mechanic! We have a Dodge Ram Deisel and a Subaru Tribeca. He does a great job on both!

The belts on my 2006 Subaru shredded as I reached Truckee from San Diego. I called Moore Automotive and Justin was able to replace the belts within 45 minutes of my SOS call. He is a first class mechanic, and the cost was more than fair! I highly recommend this business, and will absolutely return for my future automotive concerns.

Honest, friendly, clean and awesome! They were able to diagnose an issue with my Volvo xc70 when I rolled in at 4:45p and they had the repairs completed by 11:30a the next morning. Justin explained what the issue was, and had the old parts for me to take with me when I arrived to pick up my car. Breaking down while on vacation is never fun, but Moore Automotive made it so easy. Reasonable rates and great service!

Our Blazer overheated down in Sacto. They replaced the leaking radiator and thermostat on time and on budget.
They also noticed the rear brake pads were worn and replaced those.

Justin and Allen were great, best mechanics in town. I thought my power steering was going out, turns out it just needed the system flushed. Highly recommend if your looking for a mechanic.

I cannot write a good enough review for Justin Moore. I was from out of town and he made an immediate appointment to diagnose the problem. He immediately checked for the part locally, found it, had it delivered to his shop, installed it and I was on my way in an hour. What a super nice guy and so willing to help quickly.

These guys are all-​right. They weren’t able to diagnose/​fix the problem, but they did realize quickly that the problem was very complicated. They got my car up and runnning so I could drive it to my own mechanic, and they charged a fair price for the diagnostic work.
These guys were definitely honest when I was in a position that they could have taken advantage of. I’d have no compunction against taking my car back there.

Justin will always be my favorite machanic. He is honest and will also help with advice on anything with a motor. A True Tahoe Local. If your S#!T breaks down, bring it to Moore auto for best results.

I drove my old diesel Mercedes up to the snow at Tahoe over the holiday break. When I went to start the car to drive home it wouldn’t start. Moore Automotive was recommended by the people at the auto parts shop in town and they couldn’t have referred me to a better place. Justin, the owner, took time to answer my questions over the phone, gave me some tips to try to start the car on my own and, when I did in fact have to tow the car down to him on New Year’s Eve, he got my car up and running in a couple hours and at a great price.
He even helped me remove my tire chains before making the trip back to Sonoma County.
Rarely do you find a shop like Justin’s where the people are trustworthy and understanding and get the job done well in a timely fashion (and on a holiday no less). I highly recommend Moore Automotive for anyone in the Truckee area. They are good people.

I highly recommend Moore Automotive. I had an issue with my 2011 Sienna Minivan. Selected Moore based on a recommendation of a trusted tire repair shop in town. Brought the van in, Justin and team were helpful, thorough and fair.
The waiting room was clean, nice view, had popcorn and coffee available.
They looked plenty busy but were able to work me in given my circumstance.
The only issue I had was finding the place but google maps got me there.
If you need auto repair and with a good local shop and a fair knowledgeable owner, go to Moore.

Very rarely can you go into an automotive shop and be greeted with honest, quick service. Justin (the owner) follows these guidelines to a «T.»
I have been here for repeat service and never left disappointed. His business is new, but he has connections around town from his employment at other auto shops.
He has great experience; he is totally knowledgeable; he will NOT rip you off.
