History

Established in 2006.

Back in 2006 one of our clients insisted that we rent his property and so we purchased a great rental management system. We then acquired 2 other rental companies and expanded the portfolio to 60 properties. Now over 3000 families have stayed at one of our properties, creating cherished family memories for years to come. We are proud to provide this unique and cost effective form of lodging to families who want to stay together and share meals together in a beautiful second home setting.

I moved to Truckee in 1997 and fell in love with the people and the mountains. If you like the outdoors, it’s hard to beat Lake Tahoe. Great sailing in the summer and awesome skiing in winter. Spring and Fall offer fantastic Road and Mountain Biking. I started selling Real Estate in 2002 and became a Broker in 2006. I realized that many second home owners wanted to rent their homes to offset expenses and so I started a Vacation Rental business to help our clients. The vacation rental busines has tripled in 3 years and we’ve grown to become one of the leading companies in Lake Tahoe.

I thought false advertisement was against the law; but not according to Pullen Group. They advertise 3 nights minimum on the property I was interested in and when I went to book it for the President’s day weekend, they told me there was 4 nights minimum. When I explain that their website says 3 nights, they told me to send a screen shot because it was not what they were seeing on their end. So, I did, they did acknowledge that it says 3 but I was still told tough luck. I will be reporting them to BBB!

My extended family has been renting properties for summer vacations for over 15 years & had our worst experience ever with Pullen Realty. Alecia has always been rude (we rented from them 2 years in a row because of location) but Lucia was very accommodating on the phone about everything regarding our reservations. However, the second year we stayed, our home was in terrible condition. There were 3 full bags of garbage in the garage that, in spite of a call after we arrived, was never picked up. There was no parking in the garage when it was advertised to have 3 stalls. There were 5 TVs but only 2 worked & none in the main living areas. The dishwashers were full of dishes that we had to empty & they required hand washing. We wound up hand washing ever pot, pan & dish before we could use them. Allot of residual debris. One very heavy dishwasher door had no spring & it fell on us several times so we just locked it shut & never used it. There was grease under a large standing cutting board that we cleaned up & 3 – 4 month old newspapers in several places in the main living area also. Spa towels were unuseable because of mildew & several security lights were out outside. The BBQ was filthy & very worn out for such a very upscale home with nice amenities. I would be very upset if I owned this home & saw how it was maintained. We spent over $ 3000 on a 4 night stay & expected from the pictures for it to be luxurious. It left us all very disappointed as there were even more issues about the upkeep of the home. I reached out to Lucia & she was very understanding, asked for a detailed list & turned the matter over to her supervisor who couldn’t be bothered by our concerns. She was condescending & dismissive. We paid $ 250 in a cleaning deposit & I feel like we left the home cleaner than when we arrived (with the exception of linens). We will not rent from Pullen realty again.

Horrible terrible stay. There is no one in charge at this company, we rented a cabin for two nights three days and it was a real nightmare. We tried to complain to anyone and everyone just blamed someone else. Nothing got fixed we got no apology we never even got our car up to the rental yet we payed full rate. Had to illegally park at bottom of hill haul up our children to «safety» (a bunch of icy stairs to a house with no address, we found it because it was the only home left after we looked for a number) it had No curtains, ice everywhere, although it had not snowed (did someone spray water all around hot tub area to make it icy? Too icy to use) leaving our kids «safe» in the cabin we had to do the walk back down to get our luggage and groceries next morning we did some more of the same to come back to see the «house keeper snooping offering to send in strangers while we are there she apologized for the drive up said the owners left the dirty dishes but didn’t offer any help at all she said «make the best of it»… Such a nightmare… Horrible stay

Lucia was extremely helpful in setting us up with a beautiful home to rent on our vacation to Incline Village. She is insightful and remembers you when you call. Makes you feel important. I will definitely use Pullen again when I have a need in the mountain area. thank you!

I rented a super house from Pullen last winter. The experience was so good and the house was amazing so I rented the same house again for a summer break. Buff, the associate I worked with was great. As I was booking so far in advance (5 months), they advised me to get travel insurance which cost all of $ 113. That was the best advice ever given as I broke my collar bone only 2 weeks before travel. When I called them up to let them know I could not travel they immediately got me all the insurance documentation and worked with the insurance company to settle my claim. I ended up only losing the insurance premium on a $ 1,700 bill. I have rented a lot of houses over the years and these guys are really great.

We use Pullen Realty to manage and rent our vacation rental in Tahoe Donner. They have been truly excellent in both results and professionalism. We had used another company with very poor results (5 rentals in a year) and had tried to chalk it up to a bad snow year; but on switching to Pullen (and another not great snow year), we’ve already had 20+ rentals this year, with more booked for the late summer/​fall. They came in and took professional photos of our place that showed off the actual attributes of the house (rather than hiding them in bad lighting) and have made our listing much more accessible. They have been exceptionally professional and responsive to our needs. So glad we made the switch.

We recently had a great experience with Pullen Realty Group. The reservation was simple to make and there was a nice selection of places to rent. We wound up renting a house for a week and it was awesome. The price was fair, the view was amazing and the house was in great shape with very nice features. I did have two small problems, there was only one small shovel at the house and I couldn’t figure out how to use the microwave. One of the people from PRG came by with two nice new shovels and some ice melt and showed me how to use the Microwave although I had figured it out by the time they came over. I would highly recommend using PRG and intend on renting from them again in the spring.

I can GUARANTY you that I will NEVER spend another with your CRIMINAL and CORRUPT company. I met the owners of Pullen a few years ago and was impressed with their knowledge of the area, their personalitites and their attention to detail. I have never done a review but saw the Unilocal icon on their web site and figured if someone in the Tahoe area deserves a good rental review they do.
