Fellow reviewer felt very same way. This place used to be awesome! I think the new Southern manager has contributed to its decline. So sad. I used to love this place.

3rd(and last time) trying Parallel Post. Just absurd how bad it is. Slow(and not busy) and the food is average to bad. 3 strikes and you’re out. Never again. Nice Crème Brûlée, NOT. Drinks were great, head to the bar… not the tables.

Was recommended to come here for Bootleg Greg’s amazing cocktails. Boy they did not dissapoint! The Lady Killer and Red sangria were so delicious I just wanted to keep ordering more! The house made chips and the dip — divine. The wings were okay, the grilled cheese sandwich was perfectly cut into 4 and so tasty due to the truffle! The curry homemade pasta even better and finally the chicken sandwich on brioche bun with gouda and a small side salad hit the spot after all those mouth watering cocktails. Service was great, atmosphere was great, but the cocktails and food were even better! I will be back! :)

A hotel bar that creates craft cocktails? Heck yes! Went to the bar with low expectations and had them blown out of the water. Terrific bar staff. Drink creation and presentation were entertaining. Better yet-the drinks were perfect. Do yourself a favor and drop by.

I didn’t know what to expect because a lot of times restaurants in hotels can be iffy. — But I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very welcoming and has a relaxed vibe. I was there on a Saturday night with a friend and got seated right away. The menu had a lot of interesting choices. I had the«adult grilled cheese» it was excellent Also had the duck salad. Friend had a burger and wings. And eve had rice pudding for dessert . Excellent drinks and great service. Everything was excellent and tasty. I’ll definitely be going back!

I stayed in the Trumbull Marriott over the Thanksgiving holiday and are several meals at Parallel Post. For breakfast we had the buffet which was standard. Everything was satisfactory, nothing special. The dinner and the service of the night staff was exceptional, however!(If I was just eating dinner I’d give it 5 stars!) I had the chef’s selection: pear and Gorgonzola salad, braised short ribs and chocolate hazel it panna cotta for dessert. It was the best meal I’ve had out in years! The other people I dined with had the bolognese(homemade pasta verde) and the bistro burger with sea salted fries and the crystal wings. All delicious. Fantastic service(our waiter was from Portugal, Dave, I believe) and he completed the meal with his knowledgeable, friendly service. Thank you!

I highly recommend avoiding this place. I ordered wings that should take at the most ten minutes in a relatively empty restaurant and received them 25 minutes later with watered down soupy blue cheese. I had planned on ordering something else but would not chance it after this mini fiasco a beer and wings cost me 16.50 money better spent somewhere else.

Got the $ 10 Crystal Wings to go to bring back up to my room. They were big and just the right amount of heat. Came out fast and the bartender was a good dude. Good looking spot inside the Marriott. I didn’t order anything else, but the menu looked like it had some good options even though it wasn’t a big menu.

Had an amazing dinner at Parallel Post and would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and drinks! The drink and food menu offer seasonally relevant farm to table selections, and you can’t go wrong! I had a titos ginger specialty cocktail to start, which was beyond delicious and refreshing! Followed by watermelon and feta salad, drunken chicken. Everything was so tasty and fresh! Plus the staff is super nice! I can’t wait to go back and see what’s new!

It’s in the hotel but the food and ambiance are good. They change the menu do don’t just expect what’s online. The the selection is varied but the kitchen know what they’re doing and will not disappoint.

Absolutely phenomenal! It’s tucked away in a Marriott but that shouldn’t deter. The food is exquisite — as good as a NYC brasserie. The bartenders — Keith in particular — know their stuff re wine, food, pairings, etc. I was traveling alone(as I often do) and a friendlier crowd and attentive staff I’ve yet to come across as good as this. Good enough to just head up to Trumbull and have an overnight. Kudos!

I had two meals here. Dinner first, then breakfast the next day. Dinner was so amazing that it offset the meh breakfast. Dinner. My waiter, Dave was great. Polite, attentive, enthusiastic, and helpful. App was as good as any I’ve had! Oysters on the half shell, with a bit of crumbled bacon, a bit of Pecorino, and a dollop of fresh butter — all placed on a fire grill, so the oyster lightly poached in its own liquor. Served in the shell, placed on a slice of baguette. The serving of three was oh-so-good! I drizzled the liquid onto the baguette slice, spooned the oyster and company onto the slice, and popped it all into my mouth. Had I known ho good these were, I’d have ordered a dozen and called it a night! For dinner, I had the skirt steak, medium rare, with chimichuri, over thinly sliced Yukon Gold potato. As a side, I ordered the Brussels sprouts, roasted with garlic, pine nuts, and dried apricot chunks! Wow! So amazingly delicious — EVERYTHING was prepared and served, perfectly! Here’s the kicker; this place is in a Marriott! Yeah! A hotel restaurant!!! This was the best restaurant dinner I’ve had all year! The next morning, I was totally underwhelmed at breakfast. My server was so unprofessional, so ill-trained, and basically useless. The menu options looked great, but alas, the specialty item with chorizo was unavailable, so I went with Eggs Benedict. The poached egg, the Canadian bacon and the English muffin were fine. The Hollandaise was a thin, dried-out coating. I gave up trying to flag my server down to get more. Upshot — dinner, yes(emphatically!), breakfast, no.

Love farm to table restaurants, and frequent them as much as I can! I so want to give this place more stars, but the service is always poor. The food is often fantastic; however, I had the BLT clams the other night and they were full of sand. An extra star will pop up as soon as the service gets more attentive.

The food is reasonable and absolutely delicious! Try the wings and the ahi tuna sandwich. Both are the best I’ve tasted.

Cocktail menu is so creative. Took tender 5 minutes to make my drink due to all the fresh ingredients. Lots of good gin based drinks. Homemade chips are fantastic. Desserts are great too.

Not your typical hotel restaurant! Consistently great, farm-to-table, inventive(but not pretentious) menu. So good!

Fantastic food and service. Much higher quality restaurant that the hotels I travel to for business. I had the clam chowder and monkfish. Both were fantastic. The service was also great. My server was Rose and she was very informative, patient and attentive. All with a huge smile on her face.

Oh man, I am full and happy right now. I am home for Christmas break and spend most of my time eating in NYC and Philly so I couldn’t be happier that Trumbull has a restaurant of this caliber. I had the pleasure of tasting several things on the menu, as I ate in a group of 4. Every single item I ate was spot on… short ribs, redfish(butternut squash ravioli-WHAT), seafood pasta, frissee salad with duck confit, pork carnitas, clams BLT… the list goes on. What makes it even better is that everything is from local farms/fresh farm to table. The quality and presentation is impeccable. The service is outstanding, and you don’t really feel like you’re in a hotel. This is my new spot when I come to Connecticut. PS: chocolate pannacotta is to die for.
