Adventure Bound Camping Resorts – Cape Cod

I really enjoyed this campground. Stayed for one night last weekend (late September). The campground is really well maintained and the tent camp sites are very level and make for comfortable tent camping. I believe you have to request it (and pay more), but the sites with the fire pits are definitely worth it. Enjoyed having a fire during a cool fall evening and making s’mores! I like that Adventure Bound is fire conscientious and have the metal fire pits versus fire pits in the ground to prevent wild fires. I wasn’t able to find anything on the website before going, but each of the camp sites also have a coal grill that you can use.
I didn’t use the other amenities, but based on the general cleanliness of the campground I assume the showers/​bathrooms are well maintained & clean.
Another great perk about this campground is the vicinity to the beach. Easy 10 minute walk on a well used path. Also — dog friendly which is wonderful for someone who takes their dog everywhere with them!
Kayak conditions were great on Sunday morning and since it wasn’t peak season, the campground was very kind and gave us a very late checkout (3PM).
Will definitely be returning to this campground again next summer/​fall.

I had a great time at this campground. For some reason, the woman on the phone assured us that she gave us a fantastic camp site, the best site available since the season was slow. When we got there, the site was very rocky and bumpy and not at all good for sleeping in a tent. Fortunately, there was a free site next to it so we moved there. The campsite was pretty quite, minus what sounded like a full concert somewhere on the grounds on Saturday and Sunday night (it ended around 10pm so it didn’t hinder sleep). The staff was pretty friendly and they let us store our bags there while we were out for the day. The bathrooms were clean and had an outlet where we could charge our phone and bike lights.
The camp site was $ 50/​night, which isn’t too bad if you had a car but we came on bikes so it would have been nice to have a lower price since we took up less space and didn’t contribute to the carbon footprint.
The site is right off a bus line that goes directly to Provincetown for $ 2 (includes bike racks), and there’s a beautiful beach about a mile up.

I stayed at this campground in early October and I can’t wait until it gets warm again to start going back. I am a surfer and travel all over the place to find waves. A good swell hit Cape Cod in early October and i chased the waves up from Long Island. Love to camp so I found this place on Unilocal.It was pretty cheap and Cape Cod is such an awesome area. They have a general store with the essential things you might need on a camp site. There were a lot of RV’s there and not as many tents pitched, but then again it was early October so maybe less people want to camp then. It’s a 3 minute drive from Coast Guard Beach or a 1 mile walk through the woods on a path. I suggest spending the few extra dollars and getting a campsite with a fire pit. For me it was the perfect set up. The next time I want to camp in Cape Cod I’ll definitely be returning to this site

If you are looking for car camping or woods camping try some place else. The campsites are stacked on top of each other and this place is more of an RV park than a campsite. If you are looking to park your RV for a while this place would be great.
Other than that it is in a great location, close to beaches and P-​town

Pretty decent campsite with good amenities and really close to the beach, bike trails, and a bus route right outside that takes you directly to Ptown. Staff is really super friendly.
Two main drawbacks. First, the camp sites are kindof on top of each other, which makes it a bit annoying when the people 10 feet away from you are talking at full volume at 3am like it’s nobody’s business. One of the security guards recommended Hortons, the sister site to this place that has much larger campsites and tons more privacy– we’ll be checking that out next time!
Second drawback– around Labor Day weekend be prepared for daddy long legs– they are EVERYWHERE.

We had a really nice time camping at this place for 2 days in late August. This was our first time tent camping and we are now hooked! The place is clean, and very family and dog friendly. There appear to be a lot of seasonal RV residents as well as RV renters and tent campers.
We got a «premium tent site.» The price in season was $ 40 for a regular tent site and $ 5 for a fire pit rental. The premium site is larger and comes with a fire pit included and was only $ 48, so we splurged, haha. I think it was worth it as the premium sites are around the edges of the campground, so you have at least one side without a neighbor. We were in a pretty quiet corner and had no issues. The regular tent sites did seem small and are all packed together near the front so maybe it gets noisier there. We had no issues with noise except maybe some kids being kids around 9am, but that’s not a big deal to us. The showers were 50 cents for 12 minutes (I think), and the one I used worked well, had good pressure and hot water. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Only issue is sometimes they are cleaning more than one at a time so you have to walk farther away. This is more annoying since it happens in the morning when you know people are going to be in there. Fire wood can be bought at the office for $ 6, which I felt was reasonable and convenient.
The walk to Coast Guard beach takes about 20 – 30 minutes walking slowly, but is shaded and easy to do, and great exercise for our dog. The beach is lovely and worth checking out. We chose to drive to Provincetown and it was maybe 20 minutes. There are some good food options a quick drive away, including PJ’s (seafood shack, lot of items available) and Sweet and Savory (pizza, sandwiches, ice cream). We also drove to the Drive In one night, also about 20 minutes away. We had no trouble using our cell phones for researching the many things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here, we had a very enjoyable 2 nights.

We stayed in a camper and it was way above my expectations. It was so clean and had every thing you could possibly need when it comes to cooking. Such a great time!!!

A really nice campground!
We were sad when we could not camp in Ptown this year but Adventure bound really sold us.
Here is why:
1. Clean facilitys & sites
2. Strong 4GPhone signals
3. Walk to the Beach
4. Bus Stop to Ptown.
5. Right off Rt 6.
6. 30 Amp service, Cable, and WiFi (hotspot @ office)
7. Cool pine forrest so tons of shade,
8. Friendly, laid back staff
Soem negs were that they closed 2 bathrooms at the same time for cleaning leaving no option. Also in the shower stalls, the hooks were broken and there was not place to out put down a towel or clothes.
We will def return to this place, They even have a place to gut & clean your fish; and a air hose to inflate your tires if you went out in the dunes.
We also discovered N. Truro which is a very quaint and beautful area.

My family and I just got back from ABC, location is great. Coast guard beach is amazing and it’s only an 8 min bike ride away. I would drop off my family with gear at the beach, then ride back on bike. (Permit parking only). As for the campsite my electric and water hook up was a little confusing upon arriving, but the staff was very helpful and made sure everything was squares away within 1 hr. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the showers. I was only able to take 2 hot showers over the 5 days. Maybe a curse since others had no issues with hot water. The campsite was at full capacity so there we neighbors at every corner. My kids loved it and did not want to leave. My only warning is get ready for sap (from the pine trees). My wife and I seemed to get sap on our hands and legs pretty regularly. All in all nice site for families. Staff was super nice. Ptown is a 10 min drive away with no traffic.

Beautiful, peaceful site. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I were a bit disappointed to learn that our favorite campground in Provincetown was booked for the memorial day weekend. We decided to stay at Adventure Bound and try to make the best of the weekend. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by a friendly and extremely helpful staff member who recommended a walking trail to the beach and clearly explained the bus schedule into Provincetown. The bus runs every half hour and conveniently stops at the entrance to the campground. The reduced bus fare, if you get tokens at the camp store, is only 1 dollar. For those looking to explore p-​towns nightlife, the last bus back to the campground leaves at 1230.
The facilities at the campground were clean and well maintained. I noticed ample laundry facilities and washing stations. I will leave off 1 star for having to pay for the fire ring. Overall, I would say this is a good alternative to P-​town sites for busy weekends and probably better access for those with large RVs or campers.

We love coming here — year after year. Our daughter inevitably finds friends — both from previous summers and brand new ones. The management is capable, our trailer is clean and fairly well maintained.
Location-​wise, it is perfect. Love it!

2 stars for location and cleanliness. Super close to P-​town, and amazing beaches. There were 6 of us sitting around the «rented» fire pit conversing merrily when the surely old groundskeeper walks up says nothing… grabs a pale from the back of his pick-​up and dumps the bucket of water on the fire and says grumpily «goodnight.» Why? It’s ridiculous that the camp ground can’t trust people to put out their own fire. who the hell goes to sleep at 11 p.m. when they’re on vacation anyways? And the camp sites are one on top of the other… no space in between… reminded me of camping at a K.O.A or something… I will not be back – to say the least!!!

This campground is pretty much as good as it gets.
A beautiful facility. Heavily wooded, with the very pretty scrub pine trees common to the area being by far the most common tree.
Meticulously maintained. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cleaner campground. The commons areas were spotless. A fair number of permanent or seasonal campers, but even their sites were tidy and presentable (this isn’t always the case in large campgrounds).
It’s located in North Truro. A five to ten minute walk down beautiful dune paths to two terrific local beaches.
Or you can take the trolley into PTown in about twenty minutes. The trolley runs every 30 minutes all day and it’s last stop is literally at the front door of the campground. It’s a dollar if you buy a token in the camp office. Last trolley leaves PTown at 12:30 at night. It’s a very convenient way to get around.
My partner and I have stayed here for a week plus every July for the past three years.
Lots of families. Lots of sport fishermen, kayakers, etc.
Since it is close to Provincetown it’s gay friendly. But I wouldn’t call it a gay destination.
No pool. No organized activities. But with great beaches ten minutes away you really don’t need much else.
What really struck me was how well run it is. It’s a pretty large facility, but I never saw the front desk overwhelmed. The staff were always professional and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Which can’t be easy, as I’m sure they have answer the same stupid tourist questions over and over again.
The only complaint I can think of is I do wish the camp store was better stocked in terms of food items. But then that’s a complaint I have at all campgrounds.
What really struck me was how quiet the campground was. Even though there were plenty of families and young couples I almost never heard screaming, loud music, etc.
We had a couple of specific requests, including an emergency UPS delivery, a need for an extra power cord extender, etc. James (camp manager, I believe) and staff were very accommodating. They even loaned me a bicycle helmet when I asked about local bike laws.
We stayed at the ‘main’ campground. Right down the road is Hortons, which is a campground that Adventure Bound recently bought. It’s still being developed. It has more of a natural look, with less structured sites, etc. More of a natural vegetation look, rather than a meticulously maintained camp. I suspect it will become more developed and look more like the main campground over time.
Last, right down the road is Savory Pizza, maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had. So if you don’t feel like cooking at your campsite there’s a great food option about a mile away. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You really can’t go wrong with this campground.

Came there with a large, loud group. ABC took great care of us. The site was nice, store was clean. i think they charge for showers?.. very close to P-​town. let us do our own thing, site was far enough away from other campers as that i hope we didn’t bother them. bus stop right outside was very convenient. hope to go back.

We stayed here in July of 2010 for about a week.
We came to go to Provincetown, and this was a great place to stay.
It was a great escape from the crowds and craziness of Provincetown.
North Truro is the ‘next town over’ from PTown. Very relaxed, very scenic.
The campground is in a pretty undeveloped area. It has a direct trail to the beach. It’s a beautiful ten or fifteen minute walk to gorgeous ocean-​side beaches.
Campground itself has spacious slots and is very pretty. The trees are the shrubby little beach pines, so don’t expect huge trees. True, you won’t get a ton of privacy, but it’s not a big deal.
A lot of outdoorsy folks use this campground for kayaking and fishing trips.
Staff was very friendly and professional.
We camped in an RV, so I can’t speak to the bath or laundry facilities. Seemed rustic but acceptable.
The only problem we had was that we have a large over-​40 foot RV, and we even though we reserved six months in advance we were given a slot that was very hard to get into, even though there were easier slots available. If there was any way to reserve a particular slot in advance for large RVs that would help tremendously. Much smaller RVs were given easier access slots after we got there.
You can build fires, but only using campground-​supplied wood. It’s a National Park Service requirement — the trees in this area are susceptible to various bug infestations, so bringing in your own wood is a bad idea.
The wood was terrific. Very dry, burned great. In fact, we saved some to take with us to use elsewhere.
Being close to PTown, it’s gay-​friendly. There were several permanent campsites that were obviously gay-​occupied. But it’s primarily a straight crowd. Lots of families and kids. Lots of seasonal campers.
There are ‘primitive’ sites at the back of the campground that are really beautiful. They back right up to the National Seashore areas, so it’s like camping right in the National Seashore. If you want a reasonably remote experience, ask for one of those sites.
In short, it’s one of my best memories of Cape Cod. Highly recommended.
If you go, try Savory Pizza, a great pizza joint just up the road a mile or so (going away from PTown). See my Unilocal review for them. Very good pizza.
