First off, I’m quite sure I’m reviewing the same clinic referred to in earlier reviews; however, the address on my doctor’s card is 19250SW65th Ave., Ste 235. Same medical center, different suite — and yet I’ve been going to this clinic as long as earlier reviewers. I’ve been VERY happy with my treatment here and would give five stars except I don’t know how I would be treated in an emergency. In this specialty things can go south in a hurry and I can understand that is a different ball game. My problem is benign and so far a brief annual visit, if that often, has sufficed. I am seen by Dr. Cost, who had an excellent reputation in Salem before he moved to Tualatin. Urology is a very lucrative specialty where the temptation to overprescribe invasive procedures is great. I ceased to see a urologist in Salem when it became apparent he looked upon his patients as cash cows. Dr. Cost’s examination procedure is noninvasive but thorough and if everything is working properly down there, «if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it» is the rule of the day. I am on Medicare, this clinic cannot be making a big profit off me, and I think their restraint is admirable.

So first of all I’ve been to this clinc before. Was seen there a few months ago and had a vacetmoy. All was good and fine simple and out the door. A bag of frozen peas and something I can stand on Netflix for the next few days. Then this last 3 weeks ago I started having some pain down in the dude parts and for me it was scary.. I tried to ignore it for a day or 2 but got increasing worse. .now what? So I call this office in tulatian to get an appointment in next day they can get me in. Good, fine I’ll take what I can get. Turns out you have to go to 4oth and glisen to see him. No problem … and now it goes down hill. it turns into rude staff rude doctor no compassion terrible bedside manner. it was pee in a cup I’m going to come in the room barely look at you send you home with some antibiotics you might feel better idk??? Then another week has passed.. Time for round 2 some how got worse.. the same pee in a cup let me spend 30 seconds on checking you out say idk shoulder shurg??? Today was appointment 3 I couldn’t make it because work so I called them to reschedule(why?) They can get me in mabye week and a half from now didint let me finish talking and hung up on me cause it was 456 and couldn’t care less. long story short avoid this clinc there rude. avoid dr. cost he could care less of help less theres to many good doctors out there to waste time with this. Im going on my 4th week and nothing has changed I’m still in a lot of pain and want some answers but now I’ve wasted all this time on this guy and not a doctor… sucks back to square one

O.K. I’m told that people mostly write reviews when they are unhappy… that certainly is the case here. I have been a patient of this clinic for a little over one year. Jessica Lubahn is my physician there. I have no issues with Dr. Lubahn, my issues are with their office. About one year ago I went to the ER at Meridian Park Hospital with what turned out to be a 7 mm kidney stone. I was referred to Dr. Lubahn. Had surgery and all went well. While I was in their office the first time it seemed there were issues between the receptionist and another office worker… I thought to myself it was unprofessional and not something patients should be aware of. My second interaction with the office was another possible kidney stone passing so I placed a call to Dr. Lubahn. 6 hours had passed with no return call(I was told either the doc or a nurse would get back to me right away) so instead I drove myself to the ER. Not cool. Here I am again passing another kidney stone with urine that is brown so I called their office this morning when they opened. I explained what was going on and the receptionist(who was very nice btw) took notes and said she would ask the nurse to call me back. When I said I wanted to speak directly to Dr. Lubahn she said, again, she would have the nurse call me back. After waiting for 7 hours, I called back to the same receptionist and made it known I wasn’t happy…7 flippin’ hours? Really??? Well, she informed me that the initial message to the nurse hadn’t gone through. good God… shortly thereafter, a nurse… I think she said her name was Melia called back and asked what was going on… that was at 4pm today… she said she needed to discuss it with Dr. Lubahn and that she would call me back… it is now 6:30 pm, they are closed and I never received a call back! I am 60 years old and I have NEVER received worse follow-through from a medical office! Shame on them!!! This is how you treat an established patient who you know is very uncomfortable and passing a kidney stone? If you are looking for a Urology clinic I would not choose this one! Again, while Jessica Lubahn seems to be a fine physician, unfortunately it’s the staff you have to deal with… from the outside looking in, this is clearly a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing! Unfortunately for the Urology Clinic, I am Portland’s local Welcome Wagon lady and the person who refers all the new families moving into Portland to the local businesses, medical providers etc…
