Pretty solid Indian cuisine. Buffet is always on point. They even deliver all the way into Pelham! Saag paneer is delicious, although it’s more creamy, the taste and ingredients are fresh!

My best friend and I came here for the first time for dinner and we’ll definitely be returning to try the buffet during lunch. The staff were very polite, quick and tentative. They have EVERYTHING including a vegetarian and a vegan menu. We ordered from the vegan menu and got the Aloo Jeera which is pretty much a cumin-flavored potato dish and the Mushroom Masala which is made of mushrooms and green peas. However, both dishes should have been marked as spicy, because by the end of the dish, every pore of my body was sweating. Both dishes came out to be about $ 30 and the portions were so huge! We ended up having enough leftovers for lunch the next day and then dinner again.

Very good food and generous portions, great atmosphere. Only complaint was that only one waiter seemed to be working that evening so service was slow,(only reason I didn’t give Spice Village 5 stars).

I’ve been here several times over the years, for the lunch and brunch buffet. It was always just ok, but didn’t have a large enough selection. I went to the lunch buffet two days ago, on a weekday. The buffet was fantastic. A huge selection of tasty meat and vegetable dishes. So many that I couldn’t try them all. They had fresh, hot, buttered naan out to my table by the time I got back from my first visit to the buffet. (Although I wish the goat dish wasn’t all hacked up pieces on meat on the bone. I love goat, it tasted great, but had to eat those pieces with my fingers.) I will now be back more often for the buffet. At least every week or two.

I called this place to see if they delivered and they do! Next I asked if they had channa saag as this is my favorite dish. The nice lady on the phone said they do not, but before I could say Ok and make a different selection she asked to place me on hold to see if they could make it. I was impressed by the level of customer service she provided. They were willing to make it for me! Hurrah! When I did get it, had the flavor profile but was not as good as my favorite joint in New Rochelle. The naan was cold and the rice like warm. Since they made my dish special, I will give them another try to see if other dishes on their menu are better. I won’t do delivery as their minimum is way too high at $ 30. I will give them another try in the future based off of their customer service alone.

I’m very sorry to start this off this way, but I am a very spoiled New York City transplant. When I lived in the city, there was incredible Indian food abound! So many good places, we were obsessed with it and chose it for dinner often. Upon moving to Tuckahoe, one of the first places we tried was Spice Village. We actually went for Valentine’s Day, because we don’t really celebrate the holiday and so we went in ripped jeans and sweatshirts. The staff needs a little help and the drinks are atrocious. Just FYI. I mean, the drinks are horribly undrinkable. I literally choked when my cocktail arrived. I tried wine after that and it was also gag-inducing. So I switched to water and was much happier. Now that we got that out of the way, the food was good! Not incredible-blow-your-mind-good, but I liked it. We ordered our usual, Saag Paneer, which was a bit more watery than it should be, but the flavors were there. Chicken Tikka Masala was pretty good too, exactly as it should be. The naan was awesome(how hard is that to screw up?) and the Tandoori Chicken, which was also tasty and flavorful. Even the rice was well moistened and plentiful. I will say, the waiter should have been a bit more attentive, we had to keep asking for more water or rice, more than once. So that was a bit frustrating. But! The food was good, which is sort of the whole point, right? A few weeks later, we thought we would order delivery! SInce the service blew the first time, but the food was so solid, we would have it delivered to our door. How Manhattan of us! It’s like old times! Well, it was… awful. Nothing tasted even remotely close to what we had in the restaurant and we placed the exact same order. And it was a bloody fortune. Which we sort of knew, because somehow Indian cuisine is always expensive, but oh my god we wound up throwing out most of what we ordered, which totally broke my heart. But because the food was so good in house, and because I am a fighter and will perservere in the name of dinner, we decided to order it again and go pick it up this time. We reasoned perhaps something was lost in translation on the delivery service. Maybe the food sat out because going out for delivery too long? Maybe it was messed up enroute to our home? Armed with bravery, we drove over and picked it up. Took it home and excitedly dumped rice and then everything else onto my plate. Same order as last time. Um…not as horrible as last time but not good either. If this had been the first time I ever experienced Spice Village, I wouldn’t order again from them. So, now we have to go back in person and see what’s up. Because the first time it was so good! Which is what lead me to the middle of the road three star rating. I’m going to try it again in the name of spicy goodness and let you guys know. So try it? Maybe shoot me a note telling me how it was for you? Opinions welcome! Let’s solve this mystery.

We ate here 2 weeks ago. The bread tasted bad. Ordered side of cauliflower it was burn and we didn’t eat it and complained about it but they didn’t take it off from our check. The server told us Monday to Thursday they offer free glass of wine(red or white) after we were almost finished our meal. It was a worse Indian restaurant we have been to. Never go back again and not recommended at all.

Just had really good mid-week lunch buffet. I tried several of the vegetarian dishes but they had 4 meat dishes as well. They had a new spicy spinach vegetable mix, a fried vegetable dish, and a dal. Each were excellent. They also served a great nan. There was also fruit, rice pudding and coffee. They have also spruced up interior. I really like this place and I will be back soon.

This ONLY refers to delivery. The food is great but if you order delivery it consistently takes over an hour and no one seems to think that’s an issue at Spice Village. The food is good Indian-American cuisine, but for OVERPRICED delivery, over an hour is just too long to wait!

I must also add that the customer service here is excellent. Unfortunately i do not find that in many Indian joints.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Everyone is kind, helpful and friendly. Service is impeccable. All food came out quickly, but hot and fresh. We had the Malai Kofta and the Navarathan Korma. Both were delicious. I’m so glad we couldn’t finish it all because I got to take it home for later :) Definitely will be back.

My family has gone to this restaurant on multiple occasions for the lunch buffet and each time we have left happy and full customers. The food is delicious and fresh. The buffet offers a great variety of Indian dishes including multiple desserts. The masala dosa is available with the buffet but you have to ask for it as it is made to order. The bar also carries a variety of Indian beers and wine! Will definitely be returning!

Came with 3 friends and everyone was happy. I loved the Prawn Saag. Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chili Chicken. All good. The Biryani had a kick to it so if you don’t like spicy, be sure to order mild. The Saag was so creamy. I could have had just the sauce and been happy. We also had garlic naan. So good. Definitely coming back.

Spice Village is our go-to Indian cuisine restaurant in Southern Westchester. We have been customers for a good while and always enjoyed their food, but the last 3 times we have been there the food has been spectacular! We were wondering if they hired a new chef and asked. Sure enough! The menu options taste fresher and simply more flavorful in all the right ways, food presentation is also more pleasant. Chicken Tikka Masala is one of our favorites — all white meat. Totally recommend ordering delivery or walking in. They are very accommodating when you eat in. If you are in the South Westchester area, Spice Village is a great choice!!!

Delivery: Saag Paneer… I got a sloshing platter of oddly neon green liquid. Needless to say, it was NOT tasty. It was $ 20 to boot! Not realizing that I had patronized it before, I also went to the storefront. Also ordered saag paneer… It was oddly burned and dark green this time. Appears consistency is not what they do. Skip this place in all it’s forms.

Ordered take out today. Saw the buffet when we went in to pick it up and it looked delicious. Food was ready really fast. Loved my lamb vindaloo and the people I was with loved their chicken tikka masalas. Asked for a container of yogurt sauce to go with my dish and we got 2 large containers of it. Woooo. I’d come back and recommend others try it out!
