History

Established in 1997.

Chris has made a life long career from her passion about dogs and their behavior. She has earned international certifications from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and currently chairs their Dog Division. She also was one of the first to certify as a dog behavior consultant with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

The Balanced Dog functions mainly in a one on one format or very small groups because Chris believes in the individuality of each dog and owner and likes to alter what she does to best suit individuals and maximize their benefit.

The typical approach of The Balanced Dog is to address the whole dog and owner relationship. So you get methods to deal with behavior problems, life style enrichment activities to improve the bond with the dog and give the dog mental stimulation, body work for the dog, games to play to increase fun and relaxation and of course, the training for good social skills and obedience.
