History

Established in 1962.

Ace Hardware Stores, Inc. was incorporated in Tucson in 1962, and was the FIRST Ace Hardware Store in Arizona. We are locally owned and managed, and an affiliate of the Ace Hardware co-​operative.

Ace Hardware Stores, Inc. on East 9^th Street and North Euclid Road in Tucson, AZ 85 719 is your store near the University of Arizona, UofA, Downtown Tucson, Barrio de Tucson, Tucson High School, 4^th Ave. Street Fair, Congress St. and Toole Ave.

In the fall of 2006 our most recent store opened in downtown Tucson. It is a 10,000 square foot store at the corner of 9^th Street and Euclid Avenue, at 745 E. 9^th Street.

It is located in a refurbished 1958 brick building that originally housed an auto parts store. It has been restored, including removal of decades of outer wall coverings, down to the original brick, and has been remodeled and decorated to represent a 1950s era Ace Hardware store, including period lighted signage for the storefront.
