Arts Express has a rich heritage, leading back to its founding in 1985, its incorporation in 1998 and its recognition as a 501©3 in 1999. The mission of Arts Express, Inc. is to change lives and build a better community by creating opportunities for children and adults to learn and experience the power of the arts. Through the Arts America summer program, Behind the Scenes — Broadway and More program, Building careACTOR program, Express Yourself Vocal Competition and the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (Southwest Region), Arts Express opens up the world of the arts to children. Arts Express productions like A Hero’s Salute and Let Freedom Sing provide performance opportunities and family entertainment for the entire community. In recognition of its top-notch and innovative programs, Arts Express was nominated for the 2015 Governor’s Arts Award and was a 2015 award winner in the Arizona Commission of the Arts «Art Tank» program!
