Bailey’s Basic Dog Training, LLC

First I should explain that I have three dogs. To be honest, I’ve never trained them at all. I never thought it was important — they’re all small — if I want to move, I lift them — if I want them to go outside, I put them outside. I always considered training as something not needed — I don’t need my dogs to do tricks; they’re party of the family.
Seeing as I never worked on much with them, somehow my 9 year old Chihuahua/​Jack Russell mix is potty trained and doesn’t chew or anything like that. About 18 months ago we got a Dachshund who was 3. He was kind of house broken, skittish, but overall, fine. Definitely fine with us. About four months ago we got a puppy. We have read all the website about potty training a puppy and getting him to stop chewing and … it’s not going so well. Neither of us have much experience in this and considering that we work all day it’s very difficult to be consistent.
When we called Bailey’s we really just assumed that getting the puppy potty trained would be what we could work on. Maybe we could work on the very nervous Dachshund if there was time. However, in our hour long session, the puppy was sitting on command, coming when called and being a very calm and sweet boy. I was shocked at how quickly he responded to the training. We also were able to talk about things like working on potty training and chewing and how to encourage his good behavior and redirect the things we have issues with. Not only was the puppy behaving more appropriately, but our skittish dog was sniffing and taking treats. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but this dog barks at new people for hours and runs from them and pees himself — he’s kind of a disaster with anyone but us. We have a second training session scheduled and we’ve been working on all of our «homework» so hopefully all three dogs progress over the next week.
I am so shocked to see so much progress in just one hour session and I am excited to see what’s next. I have never thought training would make such an impact so quickly. I highly recommend Bailey’s to anyone. Even to people like me who never thought it was something they really needed. It’s definitely affordable and so helpful — I can’t stress that point enough.
