I was born and raised in Salt Lake City where I received my B.S. in Physiology at the University of Utah. I completed my doctorate of dental surgery at University of Baltimore, MD with honors.

Spending free time with my beautiful wife, my 2 cute daughters and my 10 year old toy poodle is the best reward. We love the mountains and try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. When I grow up I want to go on tour with the Rolling Stones (I must have been their drummer in a previous life).

The best part of my career is meeting people. Everyone has a story and I really feel a desire to connect with you as my patient and listen to your needs. I understand that you may have a fear of dentistry and I’m here to help you and calm those fears by listening and answering your questions. Our entire team advocates prevention with at home care & visiting our office on a regular basis for cleanings and exams. I believe that the greatest act of kindness is a smile. Dr. Mitchell and his staff are so amazing and have made my visits to his office a pleasurable experience. I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years, so I had a couple cavities that needed to be filled. Dr. Mitchell did such a great job, but since I couldn’t really feel my tongue when he was done I later found a spot that needed a little more shaping. Before I had a chance to call in myself, his office called to check on me and then scheduled me immediately for a visit the next morning. I was then in and out within 15 minutes! I look forward to my next checkup. Thanks Dr. Mitchell!

I had been going to the same dentist for 25 years before I visited Dr. Mitchell. What I experienced as a new patient was fantastic. During my first visit Dr. Mitchell and his entire team made me feel welcome and at ease. He took his time to explain all of my xrays, which normally would have confused and overwhelmed me. During the consultation we even had a few extra minutes to talk about our mutual love of the Rolling Stones. Having just completed my second visit to his office, I write this review to acknowledge the level of effort I can tell has been invested by Dr. Mitchell into building a great practice for his patients and employees.

I went to Dr. Mitchell to see if he could add a tooth to my partial since I had to get a tooth pulled. He said it was IMPOSSIBLE and that I’d have to buy a whole new partial for $ 2500! I went to another Dentist to get a 2nd opinion and I’m so glad I did because he pulled the tooth and added a tooth to the partial for under $ 500. So Dr. Mitchell flat out lied to me. I don’t recommend this man. He’s not honest, Just wants money.

I have been afraid of that dental chair ever since I can remember. That is why my teeth were in such a terrible state. I finally decided to do something about them and went on line looking for a good dentist. The first name to pop up was Dr. Mitchell’s. I made an appointment, and I’m very glad I did. I found him to be a true professional in all he did. Always caring and nice and keeping me informed of all the work to still be done. Quick and painless. I could not be happier with the results. His office is clean and comfortable. So if anyone reading this needs a great dentist, Dr. Mitchell is your man. You will not be disappointed. He also has a fantastic staff. Thank you Beverly for helping me with my insurance and for that smile you always have. Thank you Jessica for my prompt appointments and being so nice. Thank you Rhonda for all the good work you did while helping Dr. Mitchell. And last but not least. thank you Perla, who was the assistant on most of my visits. You know your job well and you always made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I hope I didn’t bore you with all my talking… THANK YOU ALL for working with Dr. Mitchell and giving me back my smile. I’ve had bad experiences with dentists in the past so it’s easy to see that Dr. Mitchell is awesome. He did great work on my fillings and accommodated my jaw problems. He’s honest and kind. His staff takes his lead and as a result they are professional and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Dr Mitchell is the «BOMB» as far as I’m concerned. I have been going to his office since his arrival in Tucson. He and his staff are very caring, friendly personable people. I am wearing braces at this time and sometimes it’s even fun to be wearing them, if that’s possible — lots of band colors to choose from to suit my crazy fashion mind. I love everyone in this office and cannot recommend this dental/​orthodontic practice enough!

I have been seeing Dr. Mitchell and his hygienist Amy for 2 years now. I have had nothing but good experiences there. I have recommended this dental practice to my friends and at least two of them see Dr. Mitchell now. They are really happy with Dr. Mitchell, the hygienists, and all of his office staff too. 5 bright and shiny smiles out of 5 from me. :-)

Relocating from a Dallas, Texas, I was referred by an orthodontist, as I was not pleased with any of the former dentists I went to. I am truly grateful for the referral to Dr. Michell’s practice for many reasons… the administrative staff is personable and efficient, the office setting is clean, up-​to-​date and appears to be state of the art… the dental team of Rhonda and Dr. Mitchell are FANTASTIC and put you completely at ease as they are gentle, competent and do REMARKABLE, QUALITY COSMETIC work. Doctor Mitchell advises you exactly of the financials, what insurance pays and what my costs are prior to commencing work. My next experience is for my dental cleaning and I just signed my husband up to be under Dr. Mitchell’s care. Whether you are a seasonal or permanent resident of Tucson, Dr. Mitchell is who I trust and recommend.

I used to drive all the way from LA to Tucson to see my old dentist Dr. Doerr because thats where I’m from. Once you find a good dentist you feel safe and you want to keep seeing them. He retired and passed his office onto Dr. Mitchell. I trusted Dr. Doerr’s decision and still drive all the way to Tucson to see Dr. Mitchell.
You don’t want to go to a dentist and feel like they are in a hurry and that they don’t have time for you. Dr. Mitchell did a filling on me because there was a cavity between my molars. He made sure that when he made the porcelin filling it was completely smooth with no sharp edges. He made sure that there was no extra space for food to get stuck. He actually redid the porcelin because he wasn’t satisfied with the way it came out. With Dr. Mitchell he isn’t just going to do whatever it takes to get you out of the chair so that the next patient can come in. He takes his time and does the job right.
