Comcast Service Center

If you haven’t checked out Comcast recently, you may want to seriously reconsider.
Comcast has seriously upped their game on all battlefronts. The price is quite competitive when stacked against the competition (and I’ve had the competition, I’ve had Dish way back in the day and Cox when we lived in that area, and I’ve had Direct TV as an employee of several companies).
They offer Xfinity, which is so much fun because I can record various shows and watch others at the same time. And there is quite a bit of offering on their On Demand service, rivaling that of Netflix to quite a surprising degree.
They also offer high speed internet, home phone and home security, which I think is phenomenal and fairly priced when you consider bundles.
Finally, the customer service has improved to a point where I’d go as far as to say you might not recognize them if you haven’t called them in a while.
So there you have it, a little slice of heaven wrapped up in a cable box. Quite cool.

No wonder it’s the company everybody hates. I drove over there to pay the monthly bill and they don’t take cash. Just one more attempt to be difficult with their customers.

In dealing with the retail location at River/​Craycroft in Tucson I’m compelled to leave this review. I went in for the simple matter of getting another cable box. First wanted to give my customer feedback on the new menu format, I don’t like it. Shared this with the customer service person & she implied that because I’m older that I need to take time to get used to working the features. I wasn’t complaining about the features, got those down, I was trying to tell her that visually it wasn’t as easy to read as the prior set up. She said she loved the new set up! That her aunt who is older didn’t like it but again said how she herself loved it! I was merely sharing that in case Xfinity wanted to know what customers thought. Apparently not! I don’t think this young woman could’ve been more condescending. Then she said that Xfinity would be sending a review out and to give her a 5 so she can keep her job and be able to help other people. Weird customer service person. I’m with the others that don’t like fact that alot of the 100’s of stations are just duplicates but in HD.

This review is for Comcast, not the in person service professionals. Because Brian actually did a fine person IF you GO IN and ask them to solve your problems. The service agent came out to install our TV and internet after waiting two weeks, because it was the closest appointment. Looked and said there was no line, typed a comment that the app was «too complicated», promised to come back tomorrow. never showed and just rebooked an app for two weeks later for a different person. We called three times and were promised a manager would call back. NEVER CALLED. apparently after researching this is an ACTUAL STRATEGY to get you off the phone to just give up. DO NOT get off the phone and dont be nice. BUT definitely just go in in person. Its a huge pain because there is not one in central tucson, even though they are the only effing provider. BUT anything else is actually pointless. EFF COMCAST.

I was in this location today, had to wait half an hour just to pick up a box I ordered, only to get home and have it not work again. I went back to change it out again only to be told I would have to wait again. The manager couldn’t care less, even saying «I’m not dealing with this right now» when I complained about having to wait twice for something so simple.

I’ve progammed my new remote and all I get is volume and channel changing. I called and got some lady in the far east I could hardly understand and all she can do is send me another remote. She couldn’t/wouldn’t connect me to anyone in Tucson, much less my hemisphere! I want a real service person to come fix the remote at my house at their expence, as I’m already getting gouged enough by Xfinity monthly. The Dish is starting to look better every day.

I don’t know where to start with these people. We MOVED from Tucson, Az to Missouri where there IS NOT Comcast on January 31^st, 2015. We cancelled our service with them and physically took the box back to their office AND got a receipt for it. Today, February 9^th we received a BILL which is for February 16 thru March 16^th. Now, can you tell me why they are billing us for a service they SHUT OFF on January 31^st and we RETURNED their equipment? Neither could we… so…we made the mistake of calling (should of known better). We were told that «there isn’t anything I can do about that because your account has been turned over to our „loyalty“ department. It takes them 2 or 3 weeks to contact you to see if there are any services that you might wish to keep».
My husband is generally a very level headed guy… came unglued. He asked him that he didn’t need to speak to someone in «loyalty» because no matter what the sales pitch was WE DO NOT LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE WE COULD EVEN GET COMCAST (thank God). So, why does he have to wait to speak to someone there? «Because that’s just the way we do things.»
We had a credit on our bill because DH always makes sure there is at least a month, month and ½ paid up as credit in case something happens. Now our «bill», which we don’t owe, is $ 8.32! Plus, the $ 72 and change for that February 16-​March 16 bill! And if we don’t «pay it by the due date it will go to collections».
I’m a Christian woman, I try very hard to give everyone the benefit of the doubt when it comes to things, I always work at doing the right thing. But, these people have me fuc*ing furious. They dealt with DH tonight… tomorrow I’m calling. My DH calls me the «woman with the poison pen» because I write very good letters to companies when I’m mad AND when I appreciate them. I’m bypassing the pen… tomorrow they get me, in full voice, live on the phone.
Does anyone know who to contact about these people? Anybody have any luck with the BBB, the FCC or anyone? I’d really like to know. These creeps have to be stopped…

We finally did get all of our money back. In their last letter they said the check would be mailed in «4−6 weeks» which is yet another way they stick it to you… but it did get here.

We have had several bad experiences with Comcast. However, when your housing complex tells you you have no other choice, you are left to their mercy.
We ordered cable and internet because we got one of their deals. When the tech came out to fix the cable, we didn’t have a TV so we couldn’t test it out. The internet worked though.
Upon getting a TV, we plugged it in and it didn’t work. It kept saying, «This channel will be available shortly.» So we called, and because they were unable to digitally reset it, they sent out another tech. This time, it worked.
However, we were charged $ 50 for the «service charge» of having to send a tech over. Considering that our service didn’t work the first time, we figured it shouldn’t be our responsibility to pay for their «service charge». We called customer service and the woman in billing is extremely rude, telling us, «who told you it would be for free? We always charge.» After a lot of arguing, we got $ 25 back.
It seems that all their TV advertising about «we have changed» is just that. Advertising.
Can I give them a –1 rating?

I was really worried reading countless bad reviews on comcast but never had issues with them when I was stationed in PA. I use them for internet only and use my own modem and router with no issues so far… I had pretty good customer service as long as you don’t call them after 8 pm, because they told me that they send it off to a third party which is overseas after that time. I don’t use the garbage equipment they provide, which may help the reason for the 4 stars. The only real issue is that there is only two states that they are doing a trial version capping data and tucson happens to be one of them. I bought the Motorola surfboard doccsis 3.0 modem with a netgear router that supports up to 450 Mbps, which is mediocre of the router class. Easy to setup yourself, instead of waiting for people to come to your house. Have questions, just ask me!

My internet with Comcast drops on a daily basis. When I call and finally get to a human, it’s always a person who has robotic answers and is never helpful. Also, their price will jump randomly, from 71 $ one month, 74 $ the next, then all of a sudden 81 $, without an explanation! I tried getting rid of the TV «bundle» since I don’t watch TV, but they told me it would be MORE expensive just to pay for the internet.
I have been SO frustrated with Comcast for the last THREE years I could scream. Fortunately for them they have a MONOPOLY in the area in which I live, otherwise they would be out of business.

From the start the service has been absolutely terrible! I get my «new» equipment and bring it home to set up and it took me HOURS because they gave me a used box that was set up under and different name and password that I DIDN’T pick. Then when I call customer service they tell me I require an advanced service so they are going to have to CHARGE ME to talk to their advanced customer service. Let me remind you I just got this equipment from them hours before and I have done nothing but follow the instructions they gave me. It was not my fault they gave me a used box that was set up under some random person’s name and password. I finally figured out how to completely reset my box to factory settings no thanks to the customer service. Now That everything is set up I’ve had nothing but problems with my internet. Keeps randomly not working and does not reach to my bedroom so it is impossible to video chat with long distance relatives with the video cutting out every five seconds. I live in a tiny tiny tiny apartment there is no reason the internet should not reach into the next room. If I had other options in the area for internet believe me, I would go elsewhere.
