Cut and Shave Barber Lounge

THey are a very Friendly and experienced couple. The guy is hilarious. I have a husband and three boys with crazy hair due to multiple circle things in their hair. i’m not sure what they are called. but it makes getting hair cuts a mission. But they both know what to do.

Hands down, the best barbershop in the Tucson area. I have literally had strangers stop me to ask where I get my haircut when I’m in public. Plus, Dave and the whole crew are all friendly, fun, and take extreme pride in their craft. So glad I found this place.

by far the worts choose you can make when looking somewhere to get a hair cut and a beard trim. I stop in new years eve and found two barbers none of which look to know what they were doing. the clippers were not sharp that the guy couldn’t get and even cut ones i notice it was to late the guy mess up my hair and sideburns. $ 16.00 DOLLARS FOR A HAIR CUT I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE FOR A CUT OR A SHAVE I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE AS THIS PLACE IS A BAD CHOICE. SERIOUSLY THE GUY SHAVED MY HEAD AND COMPARED MY HAIRCUT TO HIS, NEVER AGAIN!

Allow me to say at the outset that the photos provided by Cut and Shave, while acceptable, are not nearly of the quality of the cut I received or cuts I watched done while I was there. Jimmy is a far more talented and helpful barber. I’m searching for a Tucson barber because I’ll be moving there in a few months and most who read this will agree the process can be long and arduous. I’m pleased to say that Cut and Shave was a tremendous first try.
Jimmy, the sole barber on duty yesterday afternoon, was excellent in giving me the shape-​up (one week into a full, razor fade cut) I requested. His first detailing was to refine my part and cut those few hairs which always, somehow, are combed in the wrong direction. He then proceeded to bald and shave an inch around the entire perimeter, which makes a clean style cut look and feel fresh once again. He then trimmed my beard to a perfect length and outlined its entirety with beard oil, two warm towels, generous thick lather and a deftly employed straight razor. The bay rum he applied was a refreshing finish. He also mixed conditioner with water to finish off my combable top hair to remedy the dryness which is common for the gray hair of seniors like myself. When I left his chair, I felt like I may as well have been given a precise, shaved white walls, military high and tight. I walked out the door perhaps two inches taller than when I entered. Jimmy is quick, detailed, has an eye for a good «look», and I could not have been more pleased. Thanks, Jimmy. I’ll be seated in your chair again, with confidence that you’ll do your best to make me feel fresh and tight. 5 star all the way!

I’ve been going to have my haircut here by Dave for almost a year now. He takes pride in his work and makes sure when you leave his chair you have a perfect haircut. Great attention to detail, Dave is a perfectionist. Amazing haircuts and straight razor shaves, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great place, Dave did a really nice cut and beard trimming and was cool with staying late on a Sunday which was much appreciated. I definitely recommend this shop. Very good prices as well.

Jimmy has cut my hair twice, and it’s come out fantastic. He knows how to sculpt a pompadour look. He takes his time and pays attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Just got a great haircut at a very fair price. This is a great barber shop. Walked-​in on a Saturday and didn’t wait long. Both barbers were friendly, they like to joke around and laugh, and they are very talented. I like the cut I got from Jimmy, but would go to Dave as well.
I like that you can walk in on Saturdays and they’re not snooty about appointments, this place is run the way barbershops should be.

I don’t think I could have been more impressed with the service I received from Cut and Shave Barber Lounge.
I called in to schedule an appointment and spoke to Wayne. I told him that it was last minute and I needed to get in quickly. He had no problem getting me in the same day.
When I arrived I was greeted by Wayne who has been cutting hair for 20+ years and his experience showed throughout my time there.
I explained my situation which was having to constantly change barbers for a variety of reasons (mostly bad haircuts), he explained that he was there to make sure I was happy with my hair cut and the process began.
Throughout the haircut he was sure to make sure my requests were respected and I was getting what I was asking for.
When I left I felt that I had a great haircut at a reasonable price.
I will continue to go here for a great haircut.

If you’re looking for a traditional barber experience, I highly recommend Cut and Shave. Dave is an outstanding barber and really takes pride in his work! He knew exactly what I was looking for from talking with me. He took his time, was friendly, and made sure everything was precise. This was my first time here, as I live in Sierra Vista, but I’m thinking I’ll have to get my hair cut here from now on. Awesome experience overall– thanks Dave!

Best old school barber shop in town. True razor cut and shave. Small shop but it makes up for the shop size with the expertise and attention to detail from owner Dave and his partner Wayne. Nothing but a perfect haircut leaves those chairs. Dave really makes sure to know his customers and their families. I wouldn’t go to any other place.

Clean, courteous and a good hair cut too! I went to Dave’s based on the reviews posted on Unilocal,which were better than average and very recent too… I’m glad I went and have to look no further for a Barber… Dave’s the one. No quick cuts here, just good, honest service… and a good BS session too :)

No questions about it this shop is the place to be.
A bit about my hair because it is pertinent. I have a voluminous and thick head of hair. You could make a new kind of rope that you can pull cars with if you braided it. I also have a weird spiral thing that causes me to pull an alfalfa look constantly. I tend to not be able to make up my mind if I want a pony tail or something just north of USAF regulation length, this day I was going back down to near regulation. None of this was a problem at Cut and Shave.
The staff was awesome. There was a family with a little one and twins on the way and they took such good care of the little one while giving attention to everyone in the place. I have been to barber shops where I felt I did not belong and this was not one of those situations. I do not think I would say I felt like family but I swear I could have known these guys for decades and they instilled a sense I could trust them the moment I walked in.
The place was so fresh and so clean. Everything in its’ place and a place for everything, I did not see a spec of dust, and as an extra treat you gotta stick around to see their hair-​vacuum-​box at work. Much of the art/​detail in the building was set up by one of the employes and really has a personal feel with a story for everything.
The attention to detail here is insane. I saw the barber next to me double/​triple check .the guy’s hair he was cutting. The barber that was taking care of me spared nothing to ensure I had the perfect cut. I walked in looking like the Shaggy Dog and rolled out looking proper. Even while I was getting nearly a pony tail of length cut off the barbers were talking about technique and constantly expanding their knowledge base ensuring that anyone who comes in gets a quality cut. This is not a place to get a hair cut, this is a place to have an artist work on you. I appreciate their attention to detail, patience, and expertise.
I have lived in LA and San Diego where you pay a good $ 35 for the same haircut I got here. Legitly, I used to pay almost $ 50 to get my hair cut this well. This is the best place I could hope to find and my last barber gave out free beer! It is worth the drive from across town, for sure
Best part? Open on Mondays — the best day of the week for me to take care of business.

Great fade and topped it off shaving the sides. Couldn’t be more happy. Finally found myself a barber that does the job right.

Dave is a pretty serious barber about hair… You might be in the chair for 40 minutes, but that’s because Dave is OCD about giving you a exceptional hair cut. He literally triple checks each layer of the haircut to make sure he got it right. Other barbers are focused about getting as many people in and out as possible, but cut and shave is definitely worth the extra time.
