The Drexel Land Reclamation Facility is one of the three Fairfax Companies’ landfill and recycling facilities. This location accepts inert materials and clean fill dirt.

(This location can no longer accept green waste for recycling.)

The Fairfax Companies’ three locations accept construction & demolition debris, inert materials, landscape waste, and recyclable materials. We screen and sort all materials making sure that as much recyclable material as possible is diverted from the landfill.

Tank’s Green Stuff is a line of locally-​made landscape and garden products, including Tucson’s best 100% Organic compost. Tank’s ASCO-​Verified Compost, Garden Blend, Mulch, Decorative Wood Chips, and Topsoil are just a few of Tanks Green Stuff products.

The Fairfax Companies has been in the business of waste management in Tucson since 1989. Since its inception, the company has strived to be a leader in sustainability and is dedicated to improving the environment through creative and innovative management practices. Three convenient Tucson locations are available for waste disposal and recycling, and are open to the public.

Business Owner

Jason Tankersley, a Tucson native, is the CEO of the Fairfax Companies, a leader in sustainability of the construction waste industry. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Regional Development and Business and Commerce. The Fairfax Companies own and operate three Tucson facilities: The Speedway Recycling and Landfill Facility, The Ina Road Land Reclamation Facility, and The Drexel Road Land Reclamation Facility. Each facility dedicated to reclaiming land and recycling construction, single stream, and landscape wastes. Each facility also reclaims land once mined for sand and gravel. Each site is reclaimed using inert waste and prepared for infill developments.

Tankersley is an active member of the Tucson community and currently serves as: a board member of Tucson Clean And Beautiful, a Commissioner for the City of Tucson’s Small Minority and Woman Owned Business Commission, a advisory board member to SAHBA, and a board member of SAGCC.
