El Continental Barber Salon opened its doors on Jan. 30, 1964 in El Con Mall across from Montgomery Ward. In 1966 Dale Radtke, who worked and managed the salon since it opened bought the business from the owner Perry Kincheloe and changed the name to El Continental Barber Shop. Our new shop is open and bright and has a nice feeling with its curved lines.

History
Established in 1964.
El Continental Barber Salon opened its doors on January 30, 1964. To the best of our knowledge it was the first barber salon in the state to offer complete barber services including regular haircuts, razor cuts, razor cuts and styling, scissor cut and styling, shaves, facials, hair coloring and manicures, along with shoe shines. One of the unique features for the time, was we offered our services by appointment. A client did not have to wait 30 minutes or maybe even more for a particular barber.
In 1966 Dale Radtke, who worked and managed the salon since it opened bought the business from the owner Perry Kincheloe and change the name to El continental Barber Shop.
Over the next 45 years we have grown and changed with the times. We have moved our location twice. The first was in 2000, next to the Robinsons May store which later became Macys. The second was in May 2011 to our present location at 3015 E. Speedway just west of Starbucks.

Dale R.
Business Owner
Dale is the owner of our shop and is a Master Barber Stylist, with a real Passion for the Art and Science of his craft with over 50 years experience. He is a Complete Barber Stylist in all phases of the business. He has attended many shows, special schools and taken many classes to further his skills. He is a Certified Trainer of the Sebring Method — precision cutting and styling technique. If it can be done, he has done it. It’s no surprise that Dale has a large loyal following of clients.
