History

Established in 1998.

Established locally in 1997 in a small 150 square foot work room, our company achieved rapid growth by delivering convenient, expert on-​site furniture care, fulfilling a unique niche in the furniture restoration industry. Our current 2,000 square foot repair facility provides complete restoration services from stripping and refinishing to structural wood repairs.

Woodworking has been a part of my life since high school. Following high school I enlisted in the United States Air Force. Moving 10 times during my career our furniture always had some level of damage. As they say in the moving industry — «Shift happens!» Locating furniture craftsman to repair the damage was hard; a rare commodity for sure. This is when I decided to expand my woodworking knowledge to include the intricacies of furniture repair. Upon retiring from the USAF in 1997, I established Furniture Medic by DB servicing the Tucson and Southern Arizona market. During our 17 year history our services have grown from precision repairs to full major restorations. We employ four Furniture Restoration Artists and two Administrative Support specialists servicing our customers’ furniture restoration needs.
