History

Established in 2011.

Mother and daughter opened L spa in 2011. Mom, Lorraine is a licensed Massage Therapist and.Aesthetician. Daughter, Layna has been a licensed Aesthetician since 2005, she previously worked in the same office with Tuscany Med Spa. She specializes in Microdermabrasion.

We have added an amazing staff of Massage Therapists, and Aestheticians’ who work independently and are dedicated to learning and growing in their field.

Our second office opened in 2013 at Marana Wellness and Counseling Center in Old Marana on Marana Main Street. We offer therapeutic massage and chair massage in that office.

L spa also offers L spa On the Go, which is a mobile service with massage and skincare right to your door. Chair or table massage and facial services are a fun and relaxing way to celebrate a wedding, or special occasion with the people you care about or with business colleagues.

We look forward to the future and hope to open more offices to serve the greater Tucson, and Oro Valley areas.

Business Owner

Lorraine is originally from the Buffalo, NY area and came to Tucson in 2003. She is a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage and Tucson College of Beauty. She worked in the medical field for over 15 years and has worked with Chiropractors, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physical Therapists. She studies under Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy and believes in the healing power of massage and trigger point therapy for acute pain. She enjoys helping people feel better and look better. It is a priviledge.

Sharon was wonderful! She knows her stuff! Very relaxing custom facial in a calming environment. As I was waiting, I got there early, I was taking next door to the lounge to wait for my appointment. Very comfortable and inviting. Basically there are 2 business spaces that they work out of that are connected. Definitely will go there again! Sharon, you ROCK!

Pamela is awesome! I have been seeing her for over 3 years now after not really caring for a number of gadabout and other massage therapists. I have gotten regular 50 minute massages, 90 minutes, and pre-​natal. Pamela listens to what you like, where you are sore, etc. The facility on Hartman may not look like much from the outside, but the rooms are quiet, comfortable, and oh so relaxing.

My fiancé and friend brought me here as a surprise on my birthday. This was my first time receiving an «American» type of massage/​spa. The service we received was exceptional. The ladies were very kind and considerate. I’d recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind. The only downfalls were the price and their excessive usage of aromas. My allergies started acting up due to the strong aromas continuously being infused in the air. The service was a lot more expensive than other place I’ve gone to, but don’t let that stop you from trying this place out!

I woke up a couple of days ago and could not move my neck. I was stuck in bed all day. I decided to call this place and they took me in right away. I had a wonderful therapist who totally took care of me. I feel 100% better. Thank you!

I got a Groupon for a 90 minute massage. When I walked in the therapist was sitting behind the computer as I checked in. I can only assume that she was looking at the day’s schedule as she checked me in. The massage was going well until we hit 60 minutes when she informed me that she’d made a mistake and booked another massage with someone else and she kicked me out of the massage room to be ready for the next person. She told me that I could come back later for the other 30 minutes of massage. Who does that? The beauty of the 90 minute massage is the length of continuous relaxation. 30 minutes would have me on the table and off again with more time spent dressing and undressing. I never went back and recommend others don’t go either. She should have seen the conflict when I checked in and informed me or rescheduled. But to just kick me out 2⁄3 of the way through the massage with an oops and a shrug was a terrible way too treat a paying customer. I ended up paying full price for a 60 minute massage. I still tipped 15% because I was trying not to be a jerk but I’ll never go back. She should have at least offered me a 60 minute massage at no extra cost. Part of me wondered if this was a scam: get people in the door using Groupon and a promised 90 minute massage at the price of a 60 minute massage, then say oops and give a shrug at 60 minutes and offer the other 30 minutes at a later date knowing most won’t want to do it. Then you’ve received a 60 minute fee for 60 minute massage and you don’t have to really honor the 90 minute promise.

Unprofessional service. I called so many times and left voicemails and my calls were never answered nor were my voicemails returned. I find this disrespectful and incredibly frustrating. Id purchased a groupon and was never even able to use it due to their poor customer service. Unforgivable.

This was by far the best massage I have ever had. I happened upon this place through Groupon. I purchased 2 as a gift and paid for mine. I took my mom and aunt and all three of us had a great massage. Page was amazing! You can tell that she truly loves what she does. Thank you!

Love Love Love getting a massage from ALMA! She is so knowledgeable and is truly interested in helping me solve the mystery of my back pain. She combines a relaxing massage with therapeutic and Physical Therapy type moves and stretches. She offers nice touches like a warmed bed, lavender scent and eye pillows if you want. I value her expertise so much that I won’t buy another online deal that would give me half off of her services because I believe she is worth more than the full price.

L Spa is a great place to get a therapeutic massage. They have a very experienced staff who all specialize in several modalities.
The facility is very beautiful and well decorated. Getting onto the table was like crawling into a warm luxurious bed, I never wanted to leave!
I had a 90 minute massage with Pamela and it was absolute bliss. I came in with very specific needs and issues and Pamela exceeded all my expectations. Some people were just born to give massage.
The have a very convenient scheduling program where you can schedule your appointment online. You get an email confirming the appointment and then a reminder the day before your appointment.
I cannot wait to come back.
