Lollipop Toys

This store recently moved down 4^th ave. to a more busy location. In doing so, they switched out merchandise and are less of a hello kitty/​Japanese merch store and more of an actual children’s toy store. That’s great for children. For me however, I’m left uninterested with this store and now I need to find a new place to satisfy my desire for hello kitty and Japanese goodies.

they carry a lot of sanrio (the brand that makes hello kitty, for those of you who don’t know) stuff, along with anything else that fits into the japanese pop culture craze.
my favorite sanrio character is badtz maru, but they didn’t have much of a selection when i went in. the staff (who were all super friendly and nice and sweet!!) let me know that badtz stuff sells out pretty quick. i’m a sucker for him, so i’ll have to be on the look out for when they get more stuff in.
this store is really good for cute stationary and the likes. also, if you’re looking for a cute gift, it’s good for kids and adults alike!

It’s like CUTE threw up all over the store! Yes the store is small but so much stuff is crammed in there. My eyes naturally gravitated toward all the Hello Kitty stuff and there is SO much of it. Lunchboxes, plushes, tupperware, etc. But there is so much more. Sanrio galore. But I also noticed a lot of Totoro stuff and my boyfriend bought me the cutest Totoro plush keychain. Think cute Japanese stuff and you got Lollipop.
This is the perfect place to get cute and adorable little gifts that you might otherwise have to get online or at a bigger city.

I think this is the only store in Tucson that sells any cute jpop things, which is unfortnate. Good news is, this place is pretty conveniently located right on 4^th Ave. It is a tiny tiny store which makes it hard to move back and forth to look at al the stuff. I saw mostly Sanrio stuff, and of that, mostly Hello Kitty. For being the only shop in Tucson (that I know of) of it’s kind, It’s got a lot to offer. I was happy to find exactly what I was looking for here though, which was a Totoro Plushie.

Lollipop, a super cute shop exemplifies the Kawaii Culture revolution in Japan and has many of the kawaii icons from Sanrio, as well as carrying Japanese soda and candy. Locally made clothing, art and accessories are also available inspired by all the different kinds of cute aesthetics, even «creepy cute». There is something for everyone here! ^_^

Super kawaii place! ^_​^ I absolutely LOVE all the Totoro things they have here, as well as the Penguin merch. It is a little on the pricey side though.

An adorable little shop tucked away on 4^th Avenue, with LOTS to offer! Clothes, Accessories, toys, jewelry, japanese candy and sodas, all with the general aesthetic that says: CUTE! Stop in for a visit, or come to one of their many regularly-​scheduled parties & events. Sometimes if you’re lucky you might get a photo-​op with Hello Kitty! O_​O

I’m going with Yvett, more merchandise! I totally get the smallish approach and I’m thrilled that they are finding ways to be successful even amidst the craziness that is 4^th ave right now, but I wish they offered more, options are just a bit slim. Certainly worth popping in though if you aren’t on the hunt for something specific. Not certain there is anything else like it in Tucson, excited to see how they grow/​develop.

This place is adorable but they really need more merchandise. Never mind that I want to buy one of everything they have. So, this shop basically carries Japanese pop culture curios. I love, love Tokidoki and kawaii, so popped in here. One of the things that stood out to me was that the items were a little pricey. I suppose they have to be marked up some, but as it stands, I can buy these same kinds of items cheaper online.
I still wish Lollipop lots of luck, as I think it’s a great concept and we don’t have many places like that here. My advice would be to get a bigger selection that way maybe prices can be lowered a bit. While I was there, there were people trickling in and looking around, every one seemed to think things were cute, but no one was really buying anything. I know they’re fairly new, so it might just be kinks they’re still working out. I hope your Maneki Neko brings you good luck!

Cute outside, but very little inside. I like kawaii type oriented stuff so I thought I would venture inside but they really had very few items and what they did have was really expensive. Cute place to pick up some stuffed toast pillows though.
