Established in 1958.

Hello, my name is Mark Strahler. My dad, Larry, opened the business in 1958 and ran it until he retired in 1985. (At 93 years old, dad still comes to the shop six days a week to do my paperwork). I bought the business from him and continue to run it today. I am proud that we have had many long time customers over the years and appreciate every one of them.

Took my truck to Mark and told him it was making a loud clatter when I accelerate. I told him it sounded like a valve issue. He told me I was low on oil. I paid 26 bucks for an oil change and was on my way. He could have made an appointment and charged me an arm and a leg for something I suspected was wrong. He did the honest thing and made a life long customer of me. I recommend Mark and Larrys for just this reason.

These guys are great. They are the quintessential corner car repair place. My family and I have been going to this shop since I can remember. I have NEVER had a bad experience. They are always professional and funny and spot-​on with repairs. Best part, they are reasonably priced. Really.
I just discovered that Mark & Larry charge exactly the same price for an oil change as the oil-​pimp chains. Included in the price (under $ 35) is a bevy of extra top-off’s and thoughtful services, and they really LOOK at your car when they change the oil.
Mark talked me out of a few services I requested, after they actually LOOKED at the fluids they were about to change. (You see, I was told by oil-​pimp that they were way overdue.) Mark also said that next time, I can call ahead and wait in the shop for the oil change– no more than 30 minutes.
I’m sold. I will not cheat on you again Mark & Larry– not even for an oil change. Promise.
