Marshall Foundation founded in 1930 is an asset based foundation with its income generated solely by its portfolio of office and retail properties. It has donated more than $ 18 million to the University of Arizona and non-profits primarily in Tucson.
History
Established in 1930.
It was founded by Louise Marshall who was one of the first female professors at the University of Arizona who purchased land on and around the campus. As a savvy business woman she was able to maintain a steady flow of income that was used to create a permanent scholarship fun at the University and to help those less fortunate in the community.
