Went in on Monday to schedule an appointment with Devina since she was highly recommended by my mother in law after I told her that i wanted to cut my own hair into a pixie cut. She told me I shouldn’t, that I should have a professional cut it instead so I gave them a shot. I was scheduled for Friday at 2:00 since she was pretty much booked, got there 30 mins early to check in, walked around the mall, came back and was told by Devina that she was 1 hour behind but Norma could cut my hair instead. I was hesitant but Devina assured me that she trusts her, that she’s as good as her and that she is also a manager there. I accepted since she gave me her word that I was in capable hands. I have a seat and show Norma two examples of how I wanted my hair cut. The first is of a faux hawk with an undercut and show her the second example by explaining that navy regulations do not allow me to do the under cut so the lower part of my head I wanted my hair to be two inches in length but layered like in the second example. Norma looks at me and says «what’s the difference, they look the same?» I proceed to explain the first example the length of hair up top is longer plus the bottom half is shaved to where her scalp is visible which the US Navy won’t allow which is the reason I’m showing the second example which is within length regulations. Norma still wasn’t understanding but proceeded to put my hair up in a ponytail which my left side was still a tangled mess but didn’t bother to brush it out after yelling her I wanted to donate my hair to charity since my hair was past my waist. She litteraly started hacking it off since the blade was so dull my strands were tugging at my scalp from it, then she washes my hair where she starded scrubbing my hair but dug her nails into my scalp which felt good on the top because i have an itchy scalp from dandruff but she left the bottom portion of my scalp raw. We go back to her station where she finishes by blow drying and «styling» my hair and says she’s all done. I look and she asked me if I like it and all I could say was «sure». I went to pay and it came out to $ 31 and some change. I paid and wanted to get out of there fast, I didn’t want her to touch my hair anymore. I looked like a butch, black cockatoo with its feathers ruffled out. I was so angry in the car ride home that the only thing that made me laugh for a second while looking in the passengers mirror was when I parted my hair I looked like Hugh Jackman’s rendition of Wolverine with a mini mullet. Got home, my husband got the clippers to correct the imperfections and noticed how uneven each half of my head was. I’m mad that I finally decided to trust a hair dresser after 5 years, that this mistake cost me $ 31 for something I didn’t want and looked nothing like what I asked but at least my hair will grow back and looks decent thanks to my husband.

After having the same person cut my hair perfectly for over 15 years, I had a very hard time finding someone who could even get my hair close to how it should be since moving to Tucson. My huge amount of hair HAS to be cut with a razor in order to thin it out right, and Nebil got the job done! Many stylists I have gone to try the cut parallel instead of across technique with scissors because they weren’t ok with using a razor, and it never comes out right! Nebil is very nice too! I will be coming back!

I walked in with a wacked up haircut that needed to be fixed. I was lucky enough to get Davina. It was obvious she knew what she was doing. Walked out with a cut I love at a price that I can afford. I’ll be back.

So just a little bit of background on me I am 32 years old and for 28 of those years I had the same person cutting my hair I loved how she cut and colored it and I never went to anyone else until I moved from California to Arizona I went to a few different salons 1 of them claiming to be a very high end Salon I just remember leaving there $ 200.00 poorer and not feeling great like you would expect. The cut and color was very mediocre my hair looked no better when I left then when I arrived. I was at my wits end with paying the prices and not being happy so I figured if someone was going to screw up my hair I may as well pay minimal pricing for it at least if I wasn’t happy I didn’t get raped on the pricing which brought me to MasterCuts. I have received services from Ms. Davina at the Park Place Mall in Tucson AZ from the get go I was impressed I thought to myself «WOW she is amazing» at what she does she has great customer service not only with me as a client sitting in her chair but also to those who walk into the salon she always makes it a point to ask me for my permission to stop with my services and help a walk in customer when she comes back to me she always remembers to say thank you. Her consultations are wonderful and if she thinks it won’t look good on you she’s not afraid to suggest something else. She is so good I have also referred some of my friends to see her, one of them has actually gone to her and she is satisfied with Davina as well. She has turned my hair into a beautiful master piece now when I first got there my hair was dry, damaged and unmanageable now it’s full of life and very flirty. It is safe to say that I will forever be a returning to Davina, thank you Davina for taking your time on me and making sure that I am happy. If you see Davina tell her about our referrals. the ladies at mastercuts do a really, really good job.
i was thinking about doing something drastic to my hair because i wanted a change. lorrena was very helpful and knowledgeable (and didn’t make me feel like a dumb-​dumb with all my questions).
i didn’t feel judged going into mastercuts as i have a couple other places.
lorrena cut 10 inches off my hair and i’m donating it to locks of love (
