History
Established in 1999.
Mirasol is an integrative, holistic eating disorder program located in Tucson, Arizona. In 1999, we began by offering 15-day workshops for eating disorders and have grown to 26 beds. We offer inpatient/residential adult treatment, inpatient/residential adolescent treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Mirasol can be characterized as a gentle eating disorder program which uses traditional treatments combined with the most effective alternative treatments including experiential and adventure therapies. We treat anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, plus all of the co-occurring conditions which can accompany an eating disorder including substance abuse. Our success rate is between 65% and 70% at one year. If a patient faithfully completes the one year of aftercare offered on the telephone by a licensed therapist as part of the program and continues therapy at home, their recovery rate goes up to 85% — 90%.
