This is a sad and dismal place. The staff appears more interested in chatting, than in meeting the needs of their resident patients. They appear to save nickels at the expense of their residents. I walked throughout the facility seeking a Kleenex. A resident I’ll call«Betty» was soaking my arm with tears at her treatment at Mountain View, and do you think there was a Kleenex to be found? I finally found some on a different wing. This is referred to as a «Care Facility,» but I think the term«Warehouse for Elderly People» is more accurate. SHAMEONYOUMOUNTAINVIEW.

Mountain View Care Center employs some truly gifted and caring people both among the nursing and physical therapy staffs. That acounts for my 2 stars. That being said, they are sorely understaffed and therefore fall far shy of meeting their promises. Patients may wait over an hour to go to the restroom or to bed. They may go unshowered for 3 weeks despite their 2x per week guarantee. Some of the staff is outright rude and the kitchen absolutely refuses to respect diet restrictions and preferences, which is causes the nurses to become annoyed at the patient when reminded. We did a lot of research in selecting a place and were sold on their boasting of excellent service. But this is just another place where the customer is resented for expecting the provider to keep their pledge.
