Bought my first bike here today! Love these guys. All super helpful. Definitely would recommend this place over any dealer in Tucson.

I had a great experience buying my first motorcycle here. Phil, one of the sales managers, took me through the ropes on buying a first bike, and helped me narrow down the type of Triumph I was interested in. I had my eye set on a Black T100 Bonneville that they had just received, but was also curious about the Scrambler and Thruxton models. Thankfully, the T100 was a «demo» model, even though no one had ridden it yet. They let me have the honor of being the first to ride it off the lot for a test ride. I really loved the bike, but needed a few days to think it over and also consider any add-​ons I wanted. I came back a week later, and thankfully the bike was still available. Only 1 other person had ridden the bike at that point, and because it was a Demo model (only 20 miles on the bike at that point, mind you), they took $ 600 off the price. That’s a $ 8900 bike reduced down to $ 8300 — pretty great deal, and I couldn’t pass it up. I also wanted some essential mods done to the bike, and they were extremely helpful in getting a parts list together and getting the bike modded with the new exhaust + engine mods I had desired (all at prices that beat every other quote I was getting if I were to do the work myself).
All in all, I had a great experience buying my first bike, and have been an incredibly happy owner of my Triumph Bonnie.
My only complaint and hesitation thus far has been the service work, which took some investigation and advisement on my part regarding the exact work needed to be done the first 500mi. We’ll see what happens at the 5k mile point for next service, but I may be going elsewhere because this place is EXPENSIVE when it comes to labor.
Tips for if you’re looking to demo a bike: bring your own helmet, gloves, riding gear, and obviously have a motorcycle license. They’ll let you ride a good 10 – 15 miles to get a feel for the bike, and are very helpful and casual with the whole process.

I walked into Performance Cycle Center yesterday looking for a new motorcycle helmet. I just upgraded from a scooter to a motorcycle and, being a girl, I wanted a full-​face helmet that was pretty and matched my bike. I’d stopped by another store before Performance and the guy just kept trying to sell me all the most expensive helmets in boring colors. So I wasn’t in the greatest mood when I walked into Performance.
I found the perfect helmet almost immediately. We’d been there about ten minutes when Ron came up and asked if we needed help. He was a really nice guy– so chill and friendly that I wondered if we’d actually met before. He didn’t try to up-​sell me unnecessarily, didn’t push us to buy more than we needed. He helped my husband try on a couple of helmets to figure out his size even though hubby wasn’t planning on buying anything. What I found really interesting was that Ron remembered our names from the conversation between my husband and I– we didn’t actually introduce ourselves– and he called us by name during the transaction. That was pretty amazing customer service.
If my experience here was based solely on my interactions with Ron, I would have given five stars easily. However, I am a little bummed because I came home and looked up my helmet online after purchasing it from Performance. I found it through another retailer for more than $ 100 cheaper. A 2013 Kawasaki Ninja they were selling that we looked at also seemed overpriced. So I can’t in good conscience give any higher than 3 stars– not when you can buy your bikes and equipment for so much cheaper elsewhere.
I would return to Performance based on their customer service and would recommend them accordingly, but for anyone looking to walk in there– research your products online first to make sure you’re not paying too much for them.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s on the look out for a new vehicle or toy. All of the representatives here are extremely helpful and understanding of all your financial standings. We came in stating we had this much to put down and this much to pay every month and they really worked it out. We walked out with a new motorcycle, brand new out of the shipping crate. They have military benefits as well as other enforcement benefits. They even have helmets and gear too. We had a small rubber part missing which they took care of right away and even gave us an extra. It’s been over a month and they decided to call us to see how we were doing with our vehicle. Really nice company and a pleasure to do business with.

Had to get new tires on my bike. I called ahead, dropped off my bike and when i went to pick it up (in just about the time frame they told me) they charged me almost exactly what they quoted me. I was assisted by Mike K. And he was friendly and very helpful. It was a quick in&out experience and they didnt try to give me any other services i didnt ask for. The pricing was fair and service was great. I tried calling a few other shops around town and theyre prices were ridiculous.

There are three types of motorcycle shop: the corrupt, the incompetent, and the good. Performance falls into the incompetent category – they won’t swindle you, but you will be better off buying a repair manual and getting out your wrenches. Performance has left countless things mildly wrong with my bike: incorrect oil type, overfilled oil, incorrect batteries, battery drain hoses routed through my rear suspension coil, incorrect chain tension, etc. Dumb stuff. Stuff you catch before you even leave the shop, which makes you question what is happening under the fairing. The service department is reasonably good at estimating costs, but impressively bad with estimating time. A cylinder re-​bore was estimated at three weeks and took seven. Nobody called to inform me of the delays – I had to call them. Again. And again.
Conceptually, I believe that there could be a dealership that also did good repair work, but Performance isn’t that dealership.
