Pet Club Tucson

I used to love this store, it was close to my home, carried great products and I really liked the employees. I’m sad I won’t be going back. I was part of the buy 10 bags and get one free program that they have for some of their food and when I went to get the 10^th bag, they were out of the one I usually get. I was told I could get a cheaper one, pay more for a more expensive one OR I could drive 20 minutes (40 round trip) out of my way to another store OR they could order a bag that would be in in a week. Wow. I buy food for 5 cats and 4 dogs, but I won’t be buying it from here. The person who I think was the manager kept reminding me that it was a «free bag» as if he was giving it to me out of the kindness of his heart and not because I spent $ 40.00 on the other 10 bags. Not cool. Wow…$ 40.00×10 = $ 400.00 I won’t spend there. He let me know that the Pet Club is a business. True. Now it’s a business that won’t get my $ 400.00 plus (didn’t even count the dog food or canned cat food yet!) dollars every few months. All over $ 10.00. If they can’t follow through with their offer, they shouldn’t make it.

I took my dog here one afternoon just to walk around and see what the store was like. Everyone was so friendly. An employee also helped me figure out a new great way to give my duck water in his pen. They also have fun gourmet dog cookies. Mine got a hamburger shaped one. I will definitely be going back.

Customer service at Pet Club has always been wonderful. The employees seem to know a lot about their products and they genuinely want to assist you with anything they can. They are always giving our Doberman treats, so he loves our trips to Pet Club. They have a wide variety of food and brands, but when we came across a type of specialty food that they didn’t carry, they were quick to order it for us. We will always be repeat customers.

Very friendly and knowledgable staff by far the best Pet Club i have been in. Sign up for the frequent buyer programs for the dog food it helps out a ton if you get your dog special (expensive) food. If you are in the military they also do a 5% discount which is always nice.

Pet Club was a wonderful discovery for us! We buy our puppy Royal Canin, in their breed specific line of food. The Broadway Petsmart was out and after my husband drove to the Grant and Valencia locations, who apparently don’t carry the breed specific puppy food, we were frantic. Petco also doesn’t carry our food. He drove all over town! Before you think we’re idiots, we called each place first and were told, «I don’t know. «Seriously. We couldn’t change foods, German shepherds need specific nutrition due to their joint issues. Our only option was ordering online at this point. On a whim, my husband went to Pet Club. Not only did they have her food, but it was cheaper than Petsmart! Awesome place! Friendly employees and a great selection. The only reason we still patronize Petsmart is Banfield. After shots, she needs toys and treats.

Pet Club may have higher prices on some items than other stores, but they deserve 5 stars for the amazing selection of products and for the courtesy of their staff. They have things you might think you could only buy online such as Dog Appeasing Phermone sprays/​home diffusers, the latest cutest Kong toys and some very select high end foods, including raw marrow bones (which my dog adores)! I first went here when my dog wouldn’t eat (which I later found out was because he had a rare kind of cancer). I was very worried and asked them what food they had that no dog could resist. The clerk and manager took time brainstorming on things he would be likely eat to try and help me. I was back several months later after his passing with my new rescue dog for his raw marrow bones, which would otherwise only be available online for a fortune (due to frozen foods shipping charges). They knew the animal rescue that he was from very well. This is a well run store with a mind-​blowing variety of products. If you are looking for a particular high end food, treat or toy for your dog, chances are they have it or can get it. I’m glad they are so near to where I live. Hours are long and convenient. Store is clean and well kept.

Grateful to find a privately owned pet store! I never set foot in chains. Knowlegeable, friendly people + natural pet food. Pet Club is just like mine in CA — Highest praise I can give! They have Feline «Greenies» & natural litter. Easy to find/​good hrs.

What a lovely natural pet food store! They have pretty much every organic, natural, holistic, grain free cat and dog food and treat on the market! Only the best of the best here. Taste of the Wild, Wellness, Core, Merricks, Blue Buffalo, Zukes, Avoderm, Canidae, Orijen, Nutro, EVO, Pinnacle… you get the picture. If you want your pet on a raw diet, they can school you in that as well. They will work with you to find the right fit, even if you dog has food allergies. The staff cares about pets and are pet owners themselves, they are packed with some great tips!
For a fun treat pick up a can of Merricks Turducken, brats and tots or Thanksgiving dinner… it looks like people food and even has dog safe bones in the chicken thighs…
Great selection of babies/​toys (stuffed and unstuffed) for your pup. Nice cat condos too, and 20 percent off. They also had a nice selection of pizzles/​bully sticks, esophagus, and other natural hard chew treats that are amazing for your dogs teeth. My only beef about the store is that there is no rewards program, like buy 5 bags get one free (but now that I think about it, I never did get my free bag from those big box pet stores)…but their web page, email club and fb offers coupons.
Plus, I appreciate that they are not seeling fish in uncycled tanks, or small creatures like gerbals, ferrets, guenia pigs, birds and the like… big box pet stores are getting those pets from warehouses, they have no training on how to truly care for them, and pets should be a planned decision, not an impluse purchase.

It’s good to have another place midtown with healthy kibble. They have a great selection of different kinds of no-​grain cat food, including a brand from Canada. The employees are friendly and inquire about my cats. I find myself coming here a lot after work since they’re open into the evenings.

Like many pet owners, I feed my pup nothing but the best. That means having to seek out specialty pet stores to get what I need.
Today, I discovered Pet Club on Grant Road and I have to say that I’m very glad I did. The store is very welcoming, clean, bright and organized. I was greeted, asked if I needed any help and treated quite well. Since I’d never been in before, I took my time to browse around to see everything they had to offer. The staff was very helpful.
I highly suggest checking this store out. Bring your furry friend, too and let them pick out a toy from the display.

When we adopted our new dog we decided to switch her to Blue Buffalo brand foods which was highly rated among natural products. At first we were buying at Petco and it was pretty expensive. Finally, I was in the neighborhood of this shop visiting a friend and decided to check it out. The prices are about 15% lower than Petco and the food seems to be fresher and rotated more frequently.
It’s funny to look at other comments here and see how things change. On our first visit I wasn’t too impressed either. The staff didn’t seem too engaged with anything going on (this was back in early February). However, on my last couple visits the staff have been very helpful and friendly so, it seems management realized there was a problem. I was pleased to see they’ve opened one of these stores at Oracle and River which is much closer to my house. We visited that one last week and though they were still setting up, we were very pleased with the service and selection.
This is certainly our pick for buying our natural food products for our dog. The only drawback? No carts or baskets. It’s hard to juggle multiple cans of food or a big bag of kibble when you have your dog with you and no cart or basket to help out. That would be a big plus and probably get you that last star from me. :)

The other day I went to the Broadway Pet Club location. They close at 7pm. At 6:45 the two staff members must have asked me 5 times if I needed any help, ie hurry it up. They both looked bored and didn’t seem to be doing very much. What they should have been doing was putting the price labels up because at least ¼ of the merchandise did not have a price. Surprising for a store that was open for a month. I brought my own bag and the salesgirl did not put my cans in the bag or thank me after my purchase, or even make eye contact, even though I hurried it up and was out of there by 6:50. She was beyond rude. When I was leaving I realized that it was owned by Tucson Feed, which would have been a dead giveaway. Tucson Feed is known for its horendous customer service. Needless to say, I will not be frequenting Pet Club in the future.

A new pet store open in the middle of Tucson. And it has natural foods to choose from. Hoorah! I was able to find Eagle Pak, Evo Inova and others to choose from. Great selection of toys as well. This selection includes «stuffing-​free» plush toys. My rambunctious Boston Terrier is having a blast with a large squeaky snake. And no stuffing means I don’t have to worry about him eating the inners!
The store is clean and well laid out for ease of shopping. The staff was friendly and excellent. Good store!
