History
Established in 1992.
Gavi started out as an Italian Deli. Our guests loved the food so much they insisted that we put tables in so they may dine in and watch him cook in his open air kitchen. He has continued this tradition, moving to the current location in the Catalina Foothills in 2002. Gavi’s cooking is a combination of both Northern and Southern Italy, with a humongous menu, more seafood choices than most, (he comes from the seaside town of Bari, Italy), and a variety of Daily Specials, one could spend a month here and still not get through it all.

With over 30 years in the Hospitality Industry beginning in New York, to Las Vegas, and now in Tucson, I strive for every guest to have the «ultimate» dining experience. I have found a home here at Piazza Gavi where the food is exceptional, and we are all excited every day to see what new creation Gavi has come up with. Gavi is old school; eating here is like going to my Mommy Cleo’s house where the portions were always huge and the ambiance was joyful.
